Quran confirms the bible/torah & psalms is the inspired revelation and word of God (of the quran) & that of its accuracy, preservation and truth.
Quran 21:105 Sahih International: And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.
This is Psalm 37:29 which David wrote. Quran confirms divine inspiration
Psalm 37:29 - The righteous will inherit the earth and dwell in it forever
Quran 3:3-4 -He [Allah] has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel aforetime, a guidance for mankind, and He revealed the Criterion.
Quran 35:31- And that which We have revealed to you of the Book, that is the truth verifying that which is bayna yadayhi (between his hands = contemporary to his time @arab idiom)
Quran 46:30 -They said “O Our people!.Verily. We have heard a Book [the Quran] sent down after Moses, verifying what is bayna yadayhi (between his hands =contemporary to his time@ arab idiom)“
This is Affirming the biblical texts that were coexistent with the Quran, available at that time of Mohammed were true.
Quran 3:50 - Sahih International: And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.
Quran 5:46 - Sahih International: And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
Quran 61:6 - Sahih International: And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
Luke 24:44- He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.
Dead sea scrolls etc prove the bible/torah was not altered. Quran affirms the accuracy & preservation of the Torah, psalms and gospel.

This is why one of the names Allah calls the Qur'an in the Qur'an is Al Furqan, The Criterion, which means it is the Book by which the previous scriptures are to be judged: whatever agrees with it from the previous scriptures is to be accepted and whatever disagrees with it from the previous scriptures is to be rejected.

    • @JonathanDeLeon-em4px
      @JonathanDeLeon-em4px 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The Quran (5:46,47) tells Christians to judge by what Allah has revealed in the Torah and Gospel. The Bible is therefore the Criterion by which we judge the Quran.

      To @Jomy Mathew
That Verse about the corner stone that the builders have rejected is not speaking of Jesus. It is speaking about Muhammad SAwS. Look at it more carefully.
      Mat 21:42
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
‘The stone which the builders rejected
      Has become the chief cornerstone.
      This was the LORD’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’ ?
Mat 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
      The only stone that is in existence today is the "BLACK STONE" of the Kaaba. And the "nation" that is spoken of is initially the Arabs and the MUSLIMS. And "HE" that is spoken of is the Prophet Muhammad SAwS, as in the Verse in the Scripture that Jesus Mentions, below;
      Psa 118:26
Blessed be HE that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you OUT of the HOUSE of the LORD.
And the "HOUSE" mentioned in this Verse is the HOUSE of the LORD/GOD which is the Kaaba in MECCA.
      Peace and Salam

I can see that your English is not that good so I don't think we will be able to have a fruitful discussion. But I will give it a try anyway.
First the Jews did NOT reject Jesus in the beginning. Only the Religious leaders i.e. Scribes and Pharisees and Those in Charge rejected because they did not want anything bad to happen to the people. Remember that there were "THOUSANDS" that followed him.

    • @Toronado2

      To @Jomy Mathew
I told you already that the Jews did NOT reject Jesus. Now YOU are saying the Jews of the last 2000 years have rejected Jesus. This is NOT correct. The Jews have only rejected the Christian Jesus! Jews will REJECT any one that says Jesus is GOD!
Do you Believe that a MAN can be GOD? Let me answer for you. I think You will say No, EXCEPT Jesus! Jesus was the ONLY man who is GOD! Do you see that Jews do NOT have ANY EXCEPTIONS! Neither do Muslims!

tony G I agree with you here.
In my opinion, from reading the N.T, Jesus never said he was God but that he was sent by God. Jesus speaks of being (one) with the Father in spiritual unity.
For example, in John 17: 21 Jesus says
“that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Here I believe that Jesus is talking about spiritual unity between him and the Father just as we as believers are one in spiritual unity with one another. He doesn’t mean that as believers we are one in number that wouldn’t make sense he means we are whole, in spiritual unity with each other just as Jesus and God are in spiritual unity.
He clearly gives two examples here of himself the saviour, and God the creator, and then us as believers.
      John 10:36
“...why do you call it blasphemy when I say, ‘I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world.
Again here Jesus clearly distinguishes himself separate from the Father and explains he is the son of God having been sent by God in to the world.
      The hour unknown
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)
Here again Jesus is clearly explaining that it is only God the Father alone and not Jesus the son or the angels in Heaven that know the hour or day.
Mark 10:18, NIV: "Why do you call me good?' Jesus answered. 'No one is good--except God alone."
Here Jesus responds to a person calling him, ‘good.’ Jesus clearly says that none is good except God alone and questions why the person would call him so.
Jesus also follows the Laws of God.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17)
I feel that Jesus’s message was to ‘preach the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven’ and to draw believers in to salvation by following God’s commandments. He was sent by God as a prophet and Messiah and submitted himself to God throughout his ministry like all the other prophets

    Dear Paul,
Thank you for your intellectually stimulating video. I am a Muslim and this video helped me to understand the deeper meaning of a particular verse in the Quran (Sura 3, verse 3).
    (3) He has sent down upon you, [O Muḥammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
The Arabic word مصدق "Musaddeq" and the English translation (confirming) gives me the feeling of “agreeing with/supporting” which I know, from my Quran studies, is not the complete meaning due to the many passages in Quran that clearly states that the Bible and Torah have both been altered by the hands of man.
In your video, you mentioned the statement that the Quran “corrects” the older scriptures. This statement hit me and explains the full meaning of this verse. You see, In Arabic, the word مصدق “Musaddeq” is used legally and literally translates to a “notarizer”, A person who reviews a document and has the authority to confirm, or reject its content. And while "confirmation" is half of what a notarizer does, He/She can also reject the content as well. This complete meaning of the word makes more sense and I am not sure why I did not see it before when I was bothered about the meaning and English translation.
I think the English translation of the verse is lacking and should capture the full meaning as either “confirm or reject” or other concise synonyms of the word “notarize”
Thank you Paul again for your amazing content

Quran endorse and accept the Injeel ( bible original scripts ) revealed to Jesus and Torah in its original scripts revealed to Moses as word of God ( holy books )... which was in its original language Hibru/Aramic language and not the translated or edited copies which came later ( man made bible or torah )
as the current bible which is rewritten by Paul or Roman, Mathews and John and others, and these people have added many things and took away things from the original bible ( they added lies in to the original Ijneel ( bible ) and translated to many languages with their own word which means its not word of God any more.. comparing that to Quran.. Quran still in the same Arabic language as its being revealed to prophet Mohamed (PBUH) and all Muslims around the world learn Arabic to read it and learn it,,
Quran translated copies are just translation or ( Tafseer ) and NOT considered holy book ( because its not in the original language Arabic ) and translated copies could have different thoughts of different translators. The translated copies is just for illustration purpose for those new converters and those want to learn basics, but at end of the day every Muslim should learn basic Arabic at least to read and understand Quran in its original language Arabic.
Quran has replaced all other previous revelations and Quran is the base we use to find out which part of Injeel ( bible ) or Torah is correct and which art is fabricated and added by humans.
NOW how do you guarantee that a translated version of a holy book was not edited with fabrications or someone played with its words, HOW can you guarantee no one could have miss interpreted the original meaning in the original bible that was in Hibru/Aramic language OR missed out something in bible while it was written and translated to copies?
And if you read history you will see how these Pops in Europe dark era were so corrupted and enjoyed so much power and influence over Europe kings and leaders as well as the illiterate public who were submissive to churches under the fear of being punished by God if they disobey pops. AND thus they ( pops ) most likely easily edit and changed and miss translate or interpret Bible to others in order to put everyone under their control.
The Injeel ( you call it bible ) Allah never said he will keep it safe, because when Islam and Quran comes it will replace Injeel ( bible ), Taurah and others, that’s why Injeel (bible) was not distant to be kept safe by God and thus its original form ( Aramic / Hibru ) was destroyed or disappeared and non memorised it, and thus its translation came to you guys after it being edited, changed and manipulated and thus its not a Holy book any more.
Where Allah granted to keep Quran till the dooms day and thus its still in its Original form as it being revealed to prophet Mohamed (PBUH) in Arabic language and its so easy to memorise and thus no one can edit or change anything in it.
      and Allah knows the best.

This is) a recital of the Mercy of thy Lord to His servant Zakariya.
Behold! he cried to his Lord in secret,
Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee!
Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself,-
(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"
His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before."
He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?
He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"
Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."
So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.
To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout
And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.
So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)

      To @Jomy Mathew
This is another one of the Qurans refutations of the Bible. The two fingers are an allegory to the ability that satan has. If I may explain. God/Allah AwJ has given Satan the time to try and deter people from the worship of God/Allah. But the only ability Satan has is INDIRECTLY. So Satan tries to tempt people on the wrong path by whispering, tempting and shall we say nudging and guiding them in a sense with his two fingers rather than being able to GRASP someone and FORCE them to do His Evil.
      But the Bible Claims that the Spirit DROVE Jesus to the wilderness and TEMPTED Him. Now it doesn't say whether this Spirit was the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of a Devil ;
      Luk 4:33
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil,
Now the Bible insinuates that Jesus WAS TEMPTED by Satan and the QURAN is specifically denying these Scriptures!
      Mar 1:12
And immediately the Spirit DRIVETH him into the wilderness.
Mar 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, TEMPTED of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
So take your pick which one would you rather Believe. In the Bible that Says Jesus your GOD was "DRIVEN" by the Devil against his WILL. OR the Quran which says that the Devil was NOT able to manipulate Jesus at ALL!

When it comes to the name of Jesus ('Eesa), it is always presumed that his name was Yeshua' (Yousha' in Arabic). As a native Arabic speaker, I would presume his real name was "Esau" which in Hebrew and Aramaic is "'Eeshu" (pharyngeal at the beginning of the name). There is this presumption that the names of the prophets in the Bible are correct, but only their stories are corrupted. Even John in the Arabic Bible is called "Yuhanna" which is different from the Qur'an. Yuhanna and Yahya have different meanings altogether.

"We sent to you the Scripture with the truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and with final authority over them"
    Before that, in 5:46:
"We sent Jesus, son of Mary, in their footsteps, to confirm the Torah that had been sent before him: We gave him the Gospel with guidance, light, and confirmation of the Torah already revealed- a guide and lesson for those who take heed of God."
Jesus (peace be upon him and upon his Mother) is said to have confirmed the Torah without mentioning "final authority over" it.

The reason why the BIble and the Qur'an differ about Prophets is because it came before the Qur'an and furthermore the Old Testament came before the New Testament. It is the OT that provides our case studies for real prophets. Furthermore, the notion of prophets and or prophethood was DISTINCTLY Hebrew.

    • @hadooken1194
      @hadooken1194 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Abraham was the father of these monotheistic religions yet it wasn't he who received the old testament ? why ? Coz Scriptures were revealed based on the timings and on the situation of the then people and the reason why multiple scriptures were revealed parallels the reason why ton of prophets were sent to the mankind: Since the message of the Lord was either lost or corrupted and He kept the things going by sending new Prophets and Scriptures to the mankind so that the lost message could be retrieved.
So by default older the scriptures are the more the chance is that its corrupted-on contrary to what you said.
Also not all prophets were "" DISTINCTLY "" Hebrew. Was Abraham , Noah, Adam all were hebreew? NAH. So your argument of referring only to the old testament doesn't hold good.
THE FACT THAT MULTIPLE MESSENGERS WERE SENT TO THE MANKIND CORRBORATES THAT THE MESSAGE OF MONOTHEISM WAS REPEATEDLY LOST AND NEEDED TO BE REVIVED ON A CONSTANT BASIS. IF MULTIPLE MESSENGERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE SAME MESSAGE THEN IT VOUCHES THAT MULTIPLE SCRIPTURES ARE NEEDED AS WELL TO PREVENT THE DISTORTION.
OLDER WAS BETTER, THEN THE GOD WOULD NOT HAVE SENT HIS MESSENGERS TO THE MANKIND WITH THE SAME MESSAGE. THERE ARE MORE PROPHETS THAN THE IPHONE MODELS IN THE WORLD AND THE REASON IS THAT THE MESSAGE OF THE ONE GOD WAS LOST AND THE LORD RESUSCITATED THAT MESSAGE BY CONTINOUSLY SENDING MESSENGERS WITH THE SAME MESSAGE- WORSHIP ONE GOD.

@@teachmetheway7081 Thanks for sharing your thoughts mate.
      1) the version I am saying is sent from God himself. you see V3 was the latest version and then God says I have sent the sealer of prophets and if we follow the teaching of Quran and obey Gods messenger (Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) God assured he will place us near him. So the example of bug in the man made computer operating systems will not apply here. before coming of Islam it was Christianity and the teaching of Jesus peace be upon him was way to success. and following him would be obligatory for me (if I were born at that time). Since God sent the latest version all other version is now obsolete. and the fact is God sent Islam and his last messenger because the Version one and V.2 were already corrupted. Now we have a bullet proof version. None can change the teaching of Quran like Gospel or Torah. So it is bulletproof. Deveil or no human can change the original message anymore. So again please do your research on Quran and you will understand what is I am talking about. Peace!

@@salmanreza007 There is a notion Salman that all things that went before are nothing compared to that which now is. We think that because something is new or seems new and sounds 'hip' that it is better.
Nevertheless, by you point it is summed up in the fact that Allah was not capable of preserving the message in the first place and that hence Allah (your God not mine) cannot be considered to be Almighty.
Christianity continues on from Judaism. It was prophesied in Genesis and reiterated in Revelation. We are a semicolon in the journey of life that Yahweh God has written for all mankind.
Islam is a Full stop. literally and figuratively.
      We inherit from the Jews,
      Who do you inherit from?
      Shalom!

    • @salmanreza007
      @salmanreza007 3 ปีที่แล้ว

See you have brought few points that I will address: 1) Saying Islam is a full stop is mis labeling. The journey of human starts with Adam and will continue till the end of time. It is the greatest blessing of Almighty who was so merciful that he sent his messengers time to time to guide us. If it was enough to send on prophet he would not send another one. It is devil and his collaborators who changed the message and thus God kept sending his messenger. The Devil is the greatest mission of his life to led us to astray. So when the message of Jesus have corrupted God has send his final messenger. Islam did not bring any new messages. It is the continuation what Adam, Noah, Jacob, David, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus peace be upon to all have brought forth. We muslims do not distinguish among the prophets and see all of them with equal respects. Anyway Islam is not a full stop of this journey. It is the completion of God’s favour to human kind.
      2) See don’t show pride or arrogance that we are the chosen one of God or we are the inherited from so and So. however, since you would like to know Muhammad peace be upon him is a descendant of Prophet Abraham whose was Ishmael. We follow the same God who Prophet Abraham worshipped.
      3) Speaking of God’s capability, Allah, arabic name of the creator of heavens and earth and whatever in between, is ONE and he is the most wise and the highest judge and He is capable of doing anything He wants. He let his messages to be corrupted perhaps to let the devil take some of his followers to astray. And to let other good souls to follow the right path. This is all about testing human kind. So to keep it open competition between devil and human he let his message corrupted time to time. Even there are people trying inside Islamic faith to corrupt the message of God. See if he would want he could restrain the Devil from misguiding people. The the whole point of getting in to the Heaven or hell is a part of reward what we do as an individual in this world. If God intervene and not allowing us do follow our desire it wouldn’t be a test and the reward for passing the test would not be that huge. So when it was time predetermined by God for His final messenger to send he sent and after that he said my favour to human kind is complete now. So all elements for his test are now there. Now if we as an individual we fail to recognize our creator, someone to blame for this is on us. Sorry it gets too long. But hopefully I have conveyed the message. Thanks for reading. Peace! :)

@Jomy Mathew Are you sure about that brother? There is No God but One God. And believe in His messengers, the revelations and angels, the day of judgement and the destiny. That was the message of prophet Muhammad. What is wrong with this testimony? This is the same testimony which was uttered by all of His messengers. Peace
