Lovely tour! Thank you. I visted the Castle in 1984 and remember it very fondly. One of my favourite places on Earth! The gardens are truly stunning. Hooray for The National Trust!

British East India company stole all these precious things from my country without mercy. Of course it should be displayed to remind future generations what a rich country they looted.

Qatar appears to have bought some of the loot from the family for its new Islamic Art Museum.

Read the 1st chapter, 1st page from Anarchy by william dalrymple, you will get the idea where from all the wealth came.

I was enjoying this until you started on the politicised claptrap.

What part of the commentary is politicised? Would you rather just look at beautiful objects and not know where they came from?

@@phattjabba By 'politicised' I mean the mainstream drivel pushed out by the National Trust, the BBC, Wales Online, and other such bodies, who have a vested interested in keeping the truth about Britain's history hidden from us. I suggest you do some deep digging; you could start with www.youtube.com/@BritainsHiddenHistoryRoss

@@marchellabrahams right but this video is about real history, the object can be traced back to its source in India. You sent me to a link about the early history of Britain with various "theories" (I will be generous and not automatically say conspiracy theories) about Welsh and hiroglyfics and the Ark of the Covenant. Even if that were true and there is a conspiracy by "mainstream" historians to hide this information, again how is it relevant to this video?

@@phattjabba I only watched a few minutes, so I can't comment on any one feature of it. Thank you for looking at the link I sent--I didn't expect you to pay my comment the courtesy of looking at the channel: thank you for that. You might bear in mind that the very expression 'conspiracy theory' was dreamed up by the C.I.A. to try and evoke an atmosphere of shame and embarrassment among those researching the truth, as well as among those merely interested in it. We do this research from the British histories, such as Percy Enderbie's 'Cambria Triumphans'. As this history was accepted until the Hanoverian accession in 1714 and a new one created to suit the politics of the time, and the politics of times since then, one might legitimately ask which version is the more theoretical.
