- A trip to Mannlichen Grindelwald, Switzerland is like a balm for the soul. Männlichen (asl 2,222 m or 7,290 ft) is a mountain in the Jungfrau region of Swiss Alps located within the Canton of Berne. It is a popular viewpoint over the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valley. It offers: stunning natural surroundings of Swiss Alps assimilated with the sound of cowbells, fresh mountain breeze, family-friendly adventure trails, majestical panoramic views in all the possible directions, an 8.5-metre-tall wooden cow, musical events and great food and drink. In this video, soak up the sensational as well as soothing views of the Eiger North Face, Monch, Jungfrau, Wetterhorn, Mittelhorn, Rosenhorn, Tschuggen and Schreckhorn peaks. Enjoy :)
Mannlichen is a point of departure for countless walks/hikes. Along high-altitude footpaths, one can walk/hike to Kleine Scheidegg (90 minutes; Easy hike) or further to Eigergletscher. The Liselotte or Royal Walk theme paths have a few surprises in store for families. Those wishing to go higher up can do the short walk up to Männlichen peak (2,342 m). This wonderful hiking paradise can be reached by Grindelwald via Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway as well as from Wengen-Lauterbrunnen by Wengen-Männlichen Aerial Cableway.
Have you ever played an alphorn or milked a cow? There's plenty to see and do between Männlichen and the Holenstein middle station (LIESELOTTE TRAIL). All you need for a fun adventure is sturdy footwear, appropriate clothing and a sense of humour. [Lieselotte the cow hails from a sleepy village in Westphalia (Germany)]

The thing that might concern me would be living in that city in the valley. Surrounded b such high, steep mountains, are avalanches much of an issue?
