great video mate. As an Exeter fan, I think most clubs like us want to see you survive in the Premier league, but it's going to be tough. You guys played the ball around confidently but really lacked any bite up front. Adebayo looked dangerous, but raw and as you pointed out, lacked a goalscoring instinct. Too many of your crosses were either too deep or just had nobody challenging. We're delighted with the result, the park was packed out and the players rose to the occasion despite having 7-8 starters out injured at the moment. They've set themselves a bar tonight in terms of effort and focus, and we need to match that each match, even if we're lacking a little quality when players are out.
Thank you! Great summary, we just lacked any sort of creative final third, very much how our season is summed up. I wish you the very best for the next round, you guys deserved it.
Thanks for great vid I'm exeter fan but work away as truck driver so can't make games.your footage is better than the highlights I watched. You were unlucky and respect to your loyal fans travelling that far on a Tuesday night.gpod luck in the league.
Brilliant coverage! Complete unbias from a Luton Town fan - how refreshing and honest. I hope you stay up this season - keep battling. Thoroughly enjoyed the post. Best regards, Jimmy. (Exeter)!!!!!
Really good vlog, guessing that most of us "smaller teams" really wish you all the best in your Prem adventure. Great result from my point of view and although you lost, hope you found some enjoyment in your trip to Exeter. Good luck guys.
Thanks for a great game. You shouldn’t doubt us this Exeter team can take Liverpool and Ferguson and Ronaldo’s Man United on reverse legs to their stadium so I could see us winning all along
Good video - the City fan below summed up the game but respect to you for coming down on a Tuesday night to support your club. Glad you enjoyed the Chunks of Devon pasty :)
Great vlog again bud, really enjoy these. Well done to you boys for making the trip. Tricky cup tie but well done to Exeter. Couldn't really fault the selection or changes. We just lack that cutting edge, especially in an attacking sense. Hope this doesn't damage morale and confidence, we could have done with getting a few goals here. Got to focus on Everton now.
Not the result we wanted but Exeter wanted it a bit more than us tonight and you can’t argue with that. Full focus now has to be on Premier League survival #COYH
Exactly what you said mate, if we are not going to put or chances away the opposition will.... we need a good response this weekend from the lads! #COYH
Deggy fair play to you and all the Town fans that travelled down. I went to Exeter once in 1998 to watch Barnet. Luckily I was living in Weston Super Mare at the time so it wasn't such a horrible journey for me that day. I stood in the away end with the Barnet fans and the game was absolutely dire. Around the 90 minute mark I decided to take a call of nature and when I came out Exeter had scored what turned out to be the winner . I can't get to Everton on Saturday but I know you guys will sing for 90 mins and more. #COYH
The drive was a fun one. Exeter is a great ground and glad i managed to tick it off after missing it in league! They sung all game and made it hostile like we do at home! Onwards and upwards to Everton now!!
Thankyou for your unbiased commentary it was good to hear . We are a small but effective club with our wonderful acadamy which has held us in good stead and we are unlike other clubs aa we are solvent Ref Ollie Watkins who has earned us a few millions. So clubs could learn from our template.
What a great video, really well put together. Hope you had a safe journey home, and best wishes for the rest of the season From a very happy Exeter fan
Great video D mate pity about the result they wanted it more that was nearly our 1st team out there at 1 point it's a bit worrying but your right Adybeyo should b anticipating the keeper 2 drop the ball more pressure anyway onwards and upwards take care...C.O.Y.H.
Thanks mate! They had 10 men by that point too! Defended well and kept us out. Disappointed Adebayo didn’t get the confidence booster he needed! Gotta go again now! Everton (A)! Time to focus
It's good that a number of lads got a run out. Were we a little bit complacent? I would have liked us to go further in this competition. It would give us a few competitive mid-week matches which we could benefit from. I hope Exeter get a good draw in the next round. Last nights result should do their confidence a power of good. Hey, but Wolves lost from being 2-0 in front. Sheffield United got knocked out by Lincoln in the last round. Last year Newport did us and it had no influence on the rest of our season. This has to be a wake-up call, though.
Yep we was, not conviction going forward and annoying to see the lack of chances created compared to wolves. Really need to pick ourselves up and go again at Everton now!
A disappointing result for the town, I can’t understand why no one can put the ball in the net , they are creating chances. Let’s hope the team step up very very soon 🙈🧡 Hope everyone got home safely, it’s a long journey 🙏
We seem to need twenty chances to put one away. Other teams, give them one chance and they will more than likely put it away. Something really has to change up front. Very worrying And as for the way we gifted them the goal……even more worrying.
This is more depressing than the prem matches. Unless something changes in terms of confidence, mindset, training, tactics - all things down to management approach - I can’t see this goal drought stopping. Even with more possession as it was v Wolves and Exeter goals aren’t coming. Worrying.
It was depressing seeing as RE said he wanted to win it on Saturday and will go there wanting it to then see a side lack creative ability and the League 1 side look like they wanted it more.
Luton's goal drought is concerning, nothing at Fulham, just a dodgy penalty at home to Wolves and now nothing here at a league One side. Edwards needs to start managing this lot now, no more Mr Nice guy.
We certainly need to be more ruthless in-front of goal. Have a few attempts and don’t be shy to shoot. Can’t try walk the ball in anymore, doesn’t work with our ability.
We need to replace what we lost as well as try improve. On paper we have done that, but definitely a proven striker would help. However money is key and that’s something we don’t have.
@@deggyuksports we need strikers to win games deggy I dont think Morris adebayo or brown have been up to there standards this season Edwards should have spotted this in the summer we needed a decent strikers money was there didn't need to sign 13 average players very disappointed with this as we cant get anyone till Jan and is Edwards clever enough to work this out I don't know very disappointing start to the season let's hope we can stay up maybe nathan Jones will come back and save us for a 3rd time stranger things have happened Edwards looks like hes losing it to me maybe big mick needs to step in and save us again
to be honest there is some serious problems with luton that need to be sorted out , we continue to create chances but can't shoot for shit, then we make the usual school boy errors, i think its about time we dropped adebayo, he seems to be getting worse each game, the desire seems to have gone, should bring taylor back from colchester at least he knows where the back of the net is , and now with sambi out for around 2 months the midfield looks light yet again , roll on clicker coming back , need his energy and determination. im not holding out much hope for saturday.
Season so far not taking chances and making errors for goals not doing the basics that we used to be so good at I know its a mickey mouse cup and staying up is the main goal but with not really having much to cheer about a cup run would have had given a few a bit of confidence I do worry that RE has changed the team a bit to much and we look so disjointed at times. also we really lack that creative midfielder that can open up a defence we are too predictable at times. be happyer when osho and clicker are back.
They certainly did, we can concentrate on the league now but really disappointing result to watch last night. Especially from some so called first teamers starting. Poor goal to concede by Kaboré
SHOCK EXIT! Why shock because Luton are in the prem? You have to merit your status in the prem for it to be a shock exit, Luton are not good enough yet to be in the prem. They have bought second rate cast off players from other teams to try keep the costs down, Ross Barkley being a prime example, everybody thought it was a shrewd signing, he's done nothing and is now injured. Luton fans are deluded
Exeter lost 9-0 in the cup with their reserves and then 3-0 in the league. A lower league team beating a higher team is always classed as a big upset. We deserved to get to prem as we were the third best team in championship last year. Watch the video and see my unbiased comments, if you haven’t watched the video then no point commenting as its all explained in it.
@@deggyuksports Your first sentence about Exeters results has absolutely no bearing on our comments, if anything it cements the fact that Luton should not be losing to them and just because we are now a prem team doesn't mean we should expect to beat lower league teams, if you can't beat them then we are not good enough. I totally agree that we got in the prem legitimately through pure determination and we deserve to be in the top flight but we need to start proving that we belong there. Its not a shock to me that we lost to a 1st division side because as far as I'm concerned, we are a good championship side, not quite a prem side yet.
@@leedonlan5408 luton 100% should not be losing to Exeter, RE said in his post match at wolves that he’s going to Exeter to win it. If thats going there to win it playing like that then we have little hope! We know we are not good enough for the prem but going to give it a really good go. However when we have chances to play a lower league team and win and build confidence, we have to be taking it.

You can't just recall a player who is out on loan.
Agree with you about Adebayo. Not giving much at all to the club. Overshadowed by new players: Chong, Brown, Giles etc.
For me this looks like where luton should be playing
Would always say that after a cup game with 10 changes. Completely different environment

Just got to pick ourselves up now and concentrate on league! Less to worry about now.
Very disappointing game, Thank god this wasn’t televised
Being back.nsthan Jones
Haha your not wrong 😂
Please leave 🤦🏻♂️😂
