Love this !!! I think this will help so many new and old Witches who might be going thru this. I remember I went thru a little of this years ago when I was a new Witch...Wonderful Round the Cauldron chat!

Aaaaaahh, you got me wanting to make a video response to this because you hit on a lot of stuff like about celebrity and self image that I’ve had the illusion completely shattered on. I have mantras that I repeat to myself and tricks I’ve learned for when these illusions and false desires for external validation start to try to take hold again. It keeps me down-to-earth and I’d love to share.

I get comparison issues in regards to psychic abilities and astral projection most. In the online community I'm a part of there's a lot of talk about using your clairs, or meeting your guides or deities in the astral, or even through meditation where they just 'appear' in your mind visually. These are the answers to many questions I've had. I'm not able to do these, and inevitably that leads to feeling terrible when I'm trying so hard to develop these skills and it seems like so many others can do them more easily in a few months whereas I get nowhere and I've been doing this for 2 years.

I totally relate 100%. I have yet to astral travel or cross the hedge. I don't often dream of deities or spirits, nor do I often hear them audibly or see them visually in my mind. What I have to remind myself is that the language we currently have to describe these experiences we are having is limited. It can be difficult to accurately explain what we're seeing, feeling, or hearing. So naturally, we use the language we already have available to us. I also really remind myself that a lot of what people talk about on the internet, and especially the little skits and stuff on social media, is exaggerated for storytelling reasons. This isn't true for everyone, of course, and I don't mean to invalidate the experiences of others, but please don't feel bad if you're not having the same experiences as others 💖 you're not alone!
