I have to ask from a technical perspective....did your filter account for water color and sun direction and interaction with the water? Which changes the red/green vision of the Bass....Holy crap....the Chad photo was epic! Oh crap you did take into account the water and light....guess I had to wait for it. Lol....spot on video bro!

My opinion is the color of a frog doesn't matter. Just a dark color of a frog, so when the bass is looking up, they can see the frog in the sun.
Red and Chartreuse hard baits works great up in the Lake Erie harbors, but soft baits Black and blue works better.
I have a collection of lipless cranks but steered away a little from them after getting into a kayak. Good for banks. They do catch fish!

@@lowlifeangler Totally agree, especially about the frog. Almost all are very nice from the top but the fish only see the bottom which is 98% of the time, all white. I painted a couple of mine so they create a silhouette. My new fav top water is the Zoo Dog "Zoo Pup" in all black.
I was told by a eye doctor years ago that we are all color blind because nobody sees the same color. Shots fired at Hoover!! Love it. Back 2 Back! Good luck dude
As a child, I noticed when I would cover my left and then my right eye, one at a time, that I saw more yellowing hues in one eye and more blueish hues in the other. Even then before I knew that color blindness was a thing, I wondered if people all saw colors differently.

Darren, great info. Two of my fav lures, depending on conditions. Is a red hard craw swim bait. And a few other hard craw fish lures. They sit on the bottom, with clicking claws, when you twitch them, just a little tritch. I believe you gave us a tip, on these a while back. 💯 🎣

I actually looked this up recently and it’s true!! Bass don’t see colors the way we do but I still take a year and a day to pick out a bait at bass pro shop 😂😂

I didn't find the link to the program you mentioned. I was going to see if it was the same CVSimulator that I have on my phone.
I've known for years that animals, including bass and other fish, see color, clarity, and brightness differently than people. Hearing fishermen talk about Chartreuse and other colors makes me chuckle on the inside. I say natural colors for clear water, and high contrast for stained water or low light conditions.

I wish I could get that filter on an app for my phone so that I could just take picture with my phone or screen shot and bam it would show me what the bass really see. Save me time and money Im sure because I tend to get a lot of colors in the lures that I like.

I don’t have much experience in marine science but I have a bit of experience working with camouflage development. Here’s the kicker. It doesn’t matter what the bass sees. It matters if what it’s seeing is similar to what they eat. If they see chartreuse as gray than they see bluegill tails and our lures the same way if the hues are the same
So in short, it's always best to match the hatch or get high contrast colors for dark or muddy water

Red/green colorblind here, I typically just match to the bait fish/craw/whatever. I do however have some good luck with blue/black craws, and bubblegum plastics.
Annd what if the bass is colorblind... this is all going downhill fast

I'm wondering if I should jus stick with the same colors that change into what they can see... Or jus go with what they can see...
I know if I'm looking at an color changing optical illusion it feels funny to my eyes... As apposed to me jus seeing the color that my eyes or brain creates naturally🤔🤔🤔
