Another great video. It’s great to see you back at making videos. And you are a great human being for helping Yarko out. Both of you are gaining experiences together. I hope he sticks around.
Excellent, so glad you are supporting a family from Ukraine. I will watch any your produce where your new employee is showing off his stuff. Best to you both.
Paul, that is so great that you're able to help Ярко and his wife. We've been able to employ about 10-12 war refugees at work. And I really like the voice-over video.
I did not realize your heritage is/was Ukrainian - I'm sure I should have, from your last name. But, I'm not that hung up on who's from where. My ancestors were Swiss/German. Welcome, Yarko, and family! 🙂I hope you get to stay as long as you need to, or want to. And I certainly hope this war can be brought to a merciful end sooner than later. Loved the video; keep 'em coming! 🙂
Respect to you and your family for doing all that you can to help him and his family out when they really need it 💯% 👍. I don't have any Ukrainian relatives or anything else that I'd consider me a Ukrainian descendant but i can honestly say that since day one of the Russian's invading Ukraine ive been following the whole process every single day and several times a day if truth be told that said I can't wait for the day that Ukraine's soldiers and people force the Russian orc's to leave the Ukrainian lands and they are punished by the international courts for their actions🤔. SLAVA UKRAINE 🇺🇦 the UK 🇬🇧 stands with you alway's!!!
wow. as a Ukrainian woodworker who also watches your videos for years - i want to thank you. for helping Yarko, for supporting us, for saying "full scale war" (which means you understand that the war is on it's 10th(!!!) year already), and for remembering your own heritage.
Awesome workmanship and end result 🎉 … good to see more examples of this new colleagues creativity and craftsmanship 😊 Kudos to supporting a family you have never met or spoken with.
I love voice overs, but closer shots and more details would be nice. Wide shots at 4x speed doesn't allow taking in the details of the wood or work. Nice to see a furniture video again! What happened to your staff on the furniture side? They move over to lumber side or leave?
For sure Brian, I agree with you. I guess this was less about learning about table building then usual. Yes my guys moved on to bigger better things (-: Blessing is disguise as my furniture business has slowed down while my lumber business is busy as ever! So my attention is more on Legacy Lumber vs Canadian Woodworks
I came up with this initial design and partnered with Carlos from Exotherm Designs here in Ontario, Canada, you can purchase from him or one of his dealers. Yes many shapes and sizes, Thanks for watching
Hi, When I moved into this larger shop space. I wanted strong flat tables to work on and that I could quickly and easily put away some where when I need the open space. They have been great, light weight and flat / strong. I actually made a program for my cnc to cut all the pieces from 4x8 sheets, so pretty quick!
We have hundreds of Ukrainians refugees in my municipality (Norway). But they are all women, children or older men. Their capable men are back fighting or serving the fight in one way or another. Just wonder why Yarko is in Canada? Special needs for persons in his family?
@@CanadianWoodworks Sorry to hear about his accident, but glad he's able to continue his mission under your roof. He's a reminder that we all have to take care and think twice when we operate those killer machines. Slava Ukrainii.
I'm glad Yarko was able to escape that mess. It's my understanding that 14:09 Zelensky was not very popular before the war. He certainly did not do himself any favors by allowing amerikkka to use Ukraine as a proxy puppet. Amerikkka, (the "innocent advocate"😂) the same country that has invaded and colonized 97 sovereign countries, lost their minds when Cuba, a country near to them became Russia-friendly. How is Russia supposed to react when nato (amerikkka's invented incursion tool) started pushing eastward to Russia's borders?
Back in 1996 we were asked if we would go to Ukraine and run a Wood-Mizer for 6 months. We had to decline the offer because we had several hundred thousand feet of logs sitting waiting to be sawn.
I have to confess to being torn by this. On one hand you’ve done a great thing and i totally understand why he left Ukraine with his wife BUT my wifes family haven’t done that, or at least the men….have not. They’ve dutifully obayed the law in Ukraine and stayed to help defend the country in anyway that they can. I hope Canada let’s him stay after the 3 years because once Russians have been pushed back, deserters won’t be welcome back…in fact he faces jail.
@@CanadianWoodworks Like I said I’m torn, but actually any male 18-60 who left after martial law was imposed on 1st day of the war is considered a deserter, civilian or otherwise. Only a very frosty reception waits on return.
@@marquisbois990 what a bullshit. yes, there are deserters, but there are a lot of men who left legally. you can leave if you have 3+ kids, if you have certain health issues, if you have a close relative with a serious health issues to watch for.. so no, not every man who left Ukraine is a deserter.
@@daveklein2826 Under the rules of Ukraine Martial Law, ANY man 18-65 leaving the country is classed as that. You can’t ask her husband though, he’s busy fighting off Russians.
Thank you Paul!!!! You are the best!!!! I'm appreciated that you help me!! I'm very lucky have met you!!!
Happy to help! Right back at you!
Amazing... what a wonderful thing you are doing. Thank you for helping Ярко/Yarko and his family out!

video turned out great Paul. Yarko did a great job on that table. I think the gnarly pieces give the best epoxy look imo.
Thanks 👍

Do you need a mold release with those forms? Great job Yarko 👍
No mold release! We designed them with a 5 degree wall which really helps with the relase

When did you build a Paulk big bench? Did you make it yourself, how long did it take?

Is Ярко/Yarko using a metric tape measure or has he transitioned to imperial?
Had to give him a little education on imperial but he picked it up quickly. My planer is metric, so we do keep a few metric measuring devices around
👌👌❤️
