Rad setup.. I've been trying something for a while without luck.. Do you have any idea how to make the active monitor the follow the pointer rather than needing to click in a window in a monitor?

For the USB C dock system I choose the Logi dock from Logitech and it’s perfect👌👌
You probably don’t need it as you are using a TH-camr pro++ mic but .. who knows 😜

Awesome setup, Jeff! Loving the simple and minimalistic style and I’d definitely be interested to see your other setups :3 I’ve been looking to get a bigger desk too so I’ll have to check out IKEA’s options!
Had to chuckle at the fact that you got that mouse just to match the rest of your setup but I get it 😂 I have the black Logitech Superlight and I would have loved to have gotten the white one (which is a lot more expensive for whatever reason) to better match my silver laptop better but because my setup is a mismatch of colors anyways, I didn’t feel as pressured haha
As for the empty space, maybe some aloe plants or cacti? 🤔 Or some books as decoration?
IKEA does have some nice high-value products for sure! Although I'm jealous of others who have nice sit-stand desks like Ergonifis haha.

If you don’t wanna drill any holes then command strips work great! Just carefully when removing them though, I’ve accidentally removed a small piece of the wallpaper before 😅

Love the setup! You really opened my eyes for trackpads who I thought were useless before I watched this video! What would you say is the best number of monitors?
It really really really depends on your own use case. My ideal setup is two but others have told me 3 is perfect and some will swear by 1
Even with minimalism in mind, I'd always suggest some sort of isolation between the speakers and the desks so you reduce/eliminate sound transmitting through the desk which can artificially influence your audio editing.
That's GREAT advice, thanks for letting me know. The only issue I'm facing is there's only like 1cm between the speakers and the bottom of the monitor, so this is something I need to figure out (I might buy a monitor arm that extends further up
Exactly what my setup would be when I do my van build, but with a gaming laptop. Maybe even the desk size, if possible, but would probably opt for an extendable. I'd like to do it as soon as possible but realistically, it'll be about 2 years away. Hopefully soon though, hopefully... 🙏

I was looking for that keyboard. I got a mechanical one, but it looks over time it can of hurts my wrists because it's too high. The trackpad on the the left is a good idea! So you also can have both hands moving around. ✌️👍 Great video! Thx for the inspiration
Yea I know a lot of people recommend mechanical keyboards, but I never really got into them 😂. And yes the trackpad is AMAZING to have 😁

Thank you for the video! Does the Uppspel table top work well for your two-monitor arm clamp? It's not very thick, only 1in/2.5cm, and it's slightly sloped as well, so I'm worried that the clamp may slip off or crash the top.
Yup it works extremely well! I honestly don't think the "slope" causes any issues for any ergotron monitor arms haha

Hey Jeff thanks for the video and love the setup! I'm wondering if you are connecting the Logitech camera directly to your Kensignton dock instead of the mac? I have a Logitech Streamcam with type C but it doesn't work at all when I connect it to my dock instead of the mac (Intel-based) directly. I need to reserve one type C for the dock and the remaining one for a 2nd external monitor so it's pretty annoying.
Yea I ran into similar issues, that's why I found plugging in the logitech to the monitor directly is the best way to go about it 😅

You can make mouse scroll smooth as well. There are apps for that. One is Mac mouse fix, other one is Mos. Both works kind of good. I don't use logitech options as with it we cannot use our beloved logitech mouse in Universal control way. Without the options app, it works flawless. If you need to map other mouse funtions, then there are still ways using karabiner elements, but that's a lot of work and I would not recommend it for everyone.

Thinking of getting the same Audio Engine speakers you're using in the same config under my monitor. Do you find that having it flat on the desk still sounds pretty good or would you reccomend getting stands to angle them upwards to your ears?
I'm not an audiophile so they sound great to me!

weird that you like typing on the mx keys more, since most people prefer the mechanical one. I actually traded the mx keys for the mechanical one.

For the Kensington Docking Station, I have it too, but when I switch between macbooks the keyboard doesn't connect (it's bluetooth)
Nothing to do with the docking station, depends on how "good" the bluetooth is in your keyboard and your laptop!

Yes of course! I use that to scroll, zoom in and out, and move between desktop spaces

I also have two Pro Display XDR connected to my MacBook but have to use two cables, the dock you use can give 6K video to both pro display + use Ethernet and stuff correct ?

@@JeffSu Maybe it's coz I have a smaller dual monitor set so that I can place the speaker on the outer side of the vertical display(the other is "one monitor away" from the main display to ensure best audio performance while watching videos) : )

I have my monitor connected same like yours, with a vertical monitor setup alongside. In the display settings ive set it up. However how do I set it up so that on the smaller vertical monitor I can click on example Internet explorer browser and it opens on the Vertical monitor (It keeps opening on the main larger 40" monitor)...At the moment whatever I open on the vertical monitor it opens directly onto the Main Monitor and keep having to drag the browser, files etc across...

thoses screen bezzels are satisfying. I hate how monitors have a larger one at the bottom. It feels like putting your chair sideways or upsidedown for supper.
