@@ozmcsween uh, kinda? This is a co-op raiding game in bullet hell form, the other one (Maiden & Spell) is more of a pvp bullet hell game that also has a more conventional bullet hell story mode.
In case you're curious about the whole "Furry weeb thing with hardcore gameplay" I can assure you that the target audience is not nearly as far away as you'd expect. Bullet hell games in general are largely dominated by people who are all for the aesthetic. While there are definitely people who focus on clicking through visual novels, there are also tons of them playing very hardcore games, just that most of them, like rabbit and steel, have visual styles that most people outside of those communities don't approach. They also aren't approached as much due to their difficulty. The Lunar mode in Rabbit and Steel (The highest difficulty) is often the default in many of the bullet hell games these people play. There's actually a reason why there are so many incredibly hard bullet hell games with this aesthetic is because most of them are inspired by one franchise: Touhou. It is filled with a massive line of anime girls that look exactly how you'd expect them to look, but if you look at the gameplay the difficulty these games reach are insane. The Touhou games have lead to a massive series of games along with many games being inspired by them, such as rabbit and steel, most of them adopting the same aesthetic. You can see similar levels of insane difficulty in rhythm games. Looking at the charts in games like Osu you can see inputs requiring insane speed and precision to pull off. Hate furries and anime all you want, but you gotta respect it at some point, shit's crazy
i played maiden and spell by the dev which was like a bullet hell fighting game. same deal with this one where the aesthetic isnt for everyone but its an amazing game with alot of depth.
A guy on my Steam friend list is playing this and admittedly I was really curious about this game. I'll probably prefer to play Solo but I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the Review.
Solo is a great experience too. It's not just an afterthought. But if you decide to play co-op, even if you don't have someone else to play with, it's super easy to find people to play on the Lobby.
its actually not playing into a bit lmaoo, The game is based of another cult-beloved franchise called touhou which is essentially a very very hard bullet hell (literal) anime girl ver
"because it tells you who does the most dps"
Sold. Another game for my friends and I to shame each other in.
They also have a multiplayer bullet hell game, with the same aesthetics! I believe they are all about that cute life
Isn’t this a multiplayer bullet hell?
