We got our first foster placement!!! What a whirlwind it’s been!

Here is the look into our life from the first call telling us we were getting a placement, setting up her room after getting home from a weekend out of town. And then into her first day with us! Foster care is full of ups and downs. I have so many feelings about it, but I’ll save that for another vlog!

You are doing great! It’s really scary and just overwhelming at first but you will get used to it.
We opened our home 3 1/2 years ago and it is hard work but so rewarding. ❤

I hear other stories of people getting licensed and literally getting a call the next day. Is it because your foster system i your state doesn’t bounce the kids from home to home to home?!?

Sometimes people get calls right away because they have a wider age range or they are taking older kids or they can take larger sibling groups
