You should always secure your work piece when cutting or grinding. The work piece moving causes your cutting discs, blades, wire brushes and grinding wheels to work less effectively. Imagine trying to use a bench grinder while it is sliding across your bench top, because it is not hooked down to the bench. Same concept. I do like the grill though.

I got a small truck rim for free from local construction dumpster, went to Walmart and bought a barbecue grate. Laid it on rim. Perfect fit. Done.

i rather have a grate with holes in it for the air to pass instead of solid brick bottom. the round bar top would be ideal to hold the charcoal with half size bars for the cooking surface or leave brick out and use 2 layers of wire which would reduce the air holes for the charcoal fire. thanks.

A sand blaster would clean it up much faster, or a pressure washer. The sand blaster would clean up the welds also.

I had this young guy from India as a means of medical transport. He told me every time I tried Beef it would come out tougher than Bullets. I tried to explain to him, you have to sear it on both sides. Wrap it in foil to let it rest turn the heat down & add moisture with a lid on it. Any kind of broth or onion soup. I really wish I would've had a chance to cook for you. Now it's that time of year, so cast Iron Rules !!!
