  • Here just a simple tripod shape printing with with clay.
    This is only possible with a proper auger feed system and a solid and stable print bed.
    Total print time is 14 minutes.

    This is very cool. Can you tell me what version of arduino software you are using. I'd like to see if I can setup my small cnc to move like this

      Hi Ken, this was just arduino mega with Ramps shield. you can use the latest marlin to set up the movements.

    does the auger feed system wear over time since it is quite an abrasive fluid?

      It wears to the largest chamotte/particle size. Depending on that and the overall use you might need to replace the auger after a few years.

      Thanks Yao. I am building an extra large scale printer and I will be printing a two part polymer material.
      I am hoping to get similar results but with a different material.

    why print the outer wall?

    • @YaovandenHeerik
      @YaovandenHeerik  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At that time print clay was a bit soft. Printing that wall kept the lower part moist enough to stick properly to the plaster while printing the 3 different structures that converge higher up the print. If they dry during printing they would bend a little and result in an optically less perfect print.

      This is regular stoneware. but could be any clay. as long as the water content make it printable.
