After getting a green card in exchange for assassinating a Cuban government official, Tony Montana (Al Pacino) stakes a claim on the drug trade in Miami. Viciously murdering anyone who stands in his way, Tony eventually becomes the biggest drug lord in the state, controlling nearly all the cocaine that comes through Miami. "Hey ernie, want a job" the most intense job interview ever
Like he had a choice
@@nickcox1408yeah i think he realized that
All he had to do was picture Tony Montana naked. Works every time.
& didn't outlive his contract
And you know what was the best thing about Ernie? He always had Tony’s back after that.
I always loved the tension and then "Hey Ernie, you want a job?"
"Oh, Hi Mark".
Scariest interview ever
one of the funniest subversions in film history
Ernie is a good actor. I really felt his anxiety.
A great, great scene and great ending to that scene
Tony isn't a good person but he does have a sense of honor and morality that still makes him easy to root for. He knew Ernie had nothing to do with Frank's scheming and wasn't about to punish him for it.
he is a good person if he sends any people to the dirt
He is only in the fact he didn’t want to kill the kids in the car which leads to his death.
@@dxxgx6713he is a good person. He left his drug empire to a charity.
Yo. Marketing puts him as THE main villain, even though he’s anything but. I would say he’s more in the area between mid and bad. Yes, he has the code “No women. No kids.” But, let’s be honest. Have there been any women working in the drug business. We have Elvira, but, all Tony was about to do was beat her up in the restaurant. However, Manny held him back. And, Tony killed those men out of self defence (mostly). Emilio had beaten up some other people while in jail, I think Manny said. So, Tony killed him to get the Green Card. Then, he killed the Colombians because he was defending himself. Hector because he probably didn’t want this toad to go causing any more trouble. The Babylon hit men, same as before. And, then, he killed Frank because of it. Yes, it was really Manny, but, he gave the orders. Alberto because… the only major “good” moment he did… even if he could’ve done anything else; either ignore Alberto and drive out of range of the bomb, or used his fists to punch Shadow in the face and presumably knock him out so he didn’t need to detonate the bomb. Manny: He didn’t listen to Tony ordering him to “stay away from Gina.” Tony was coked up, and couldn’t think properly, so, he shot his best friend. Then, Sosa’s henchmen, for obvious reasons, before getting shot in the back by Geno Silva. Thus, he’s bad, not evil.
"Maybe you can handle yourself one of them first class tickets to the resurrection"
Damn that was badass
so long mel hab a good trip
love the foot on the table
"hey man, you got a job"😂😂🤣 that part is underrated
Especially when it’s Bruno mars
RIP Chi Chi
Probably the best drink Ernie ever had in his life!
Robert Loggia (Frank) owns this scene. His downfall from "I don't care" to "Please Tony don't kill me" is amazing.
RIP Robert Loggia.
Naw Mel killed this scene
I like to imagine that he somehow survived the shot and he escaped to New Jersey living under the identity of Feech LaManna.
@@carlchong7592 🙂Indeed, that would have been intriguing.
The way manny smiles when Tony says "you want a job ernie?" Like he was hoping he would give him a pass
Al Pacino should have won more than just one Oscar, every single performance of him is out of this world
Especially the godfather part 2
@@Karlebow571Even the first, even though Marlon Brando was the main star.
Even when he's phoning it in like in 2003's awful Gigli, he's entertaining!
@@TheMrHavish Al Pacino is very talented. He can play any role he's given perfectly and no one will say anything negative.
Nicholson and Deniro are better.
I love it when says ''So long Mel, have a good trip''.
And Mel goes down with his honour intact. Still defiant. Gangster
no, he should have said: instead of a trip to London with your wife, it will be a trip to hell for you Mel!
“You too Mel, you fckd up.” It was at this moment that he knew he fckd up. 😂
´don't go too far Tony´
@@bramjoosten4770 "I'm not Mel, you are." (shoots gun in stomach)
😂😂 this is the funniest part of the whole scene I swear
@@gokuuu6 Indeed. 😂
@@QUEENSBRIDGE_10TH_ST231mel thought he was home and dry😂😂😂
Scarface is beyond a classic film!! Al Pacino’s top of his best performances ever & he is a legendary actor💯
It’s funny how Mel is completely oblivious to the danger he’s in even though Tony is sat facing him with his gun pointed right at him
I really don't think that is the case. You can see his fear in his body language. Tense, arms folded. From the moment Tony come into the room he is very much aware of the danger.
There is not much he could do at that point. There were three separate weapons ready to engage on him so no chance for him to draw or escape.
@@LPCLASSICALI agree with you. He knew damn well what was happening and why he started deflecting blame to Frank. Spot on analysis.
He's completely tensed up and defensive/evasive. He just wants to try and talk his way out of that room so he can hopefully call for backup and escape. He knows that begging isn't going to work so he has no other option.
It's your tree, Frank. You're sitting in it...
When I first saw this movie as a kid, I thought that the movie was almost over after this scene. Didn’t know what I was getting myself into haha. Glad I was wrong.
What kind of parents did you have allowing you to watch this violent movie? Geewiz!
just like vice city
when i thought killing diaz was last mission
Ernie's sweating bullets, but standing there trying his best to look confident. Didn't grovel or bargain like the other two.
The cop didn't grovel either
@@jotarokujo5132he did try to bargain tho

Ernie stared death in the face and didn't blink we need a spin off prequel telling his life story fr
I love how Mel is trying to act all cool and not bothered
Tony gave Ernie a job offer he couldn't refuse.
Ernie saw his life flash before his life
Hey man you got a job 😂😂😂😂😂😂
1:01 he all chill acting like it was part of the plan 😂 Harris always a crooked cop he was one in training day too 😂
You right! 🤣 "I'm gonna find this guy on the street and I'm gonna do him"
@@bbryant9455 🤣🤣
I like how Tony enjoys toying with Frank as he grovels at Tony's feet!
Every time someone tells me they got a new job, that's way I say. "Hey mane, you got a job!".
"You never did nothing to nobody"... Then gets his buddy to do the dirty work.
Well he did say "he" wasn't gonna kill, him as in tony himself, so Manny did the deed
There's fantastic acting in this scene and throughout the entire film in general! This movie's an easy 10/10 for me. It's a great experience from start to finish! 🤘😎🎸🤘
Rip Mark Margolis, Paul Albert Shenar, Salvatore Loggia, Richard Jay Belzer, Míriam Valle Colón, Al Israel, Lana Jean Clarkson, Richard Delmonte, Geno Silva, Arnold Santana, Roberto Contreras, Lois Marie Tlustos, Michael Patrick Moran, Juan A Alonzo, Santos Morales, Manuel Padilla Jr, Martin Leon Bregman, and Joesph Brown, you will be missed
don't forget Ángel Salazar
"shoot that piece of chicken." LoL
That was the best tasting whiskey Ernie has ever tried.
Tony's entourage is so righteously vicious.
The fact that frank was right about everything but tony still decide not to listen to
Damnnn fr? That makes tony look to dumb
Poor Ernie probably had to go change his pants after all that was over. I know I would've needed to. 😆
Tony shows everyone who's the boss
Earnie end up dying later cause of the job he was doomed anyway 😢
You're screwed the very moment you decided to enter thug life
Is anyone going to watch “Scarface” for its 40th Anniversary tomorrow on November 12 & 15th in theaters? I am. I got my tickets. I’m excited to see it in theaters. Woah!!
That was one of the most dangerous Job interviews ever.
Yooooo😂😂😂😂😂
At least it was quick, have you tried applying for a job in the 2020s?
"You too Mel, You fukt tut".
" Don't go too far Tony "
Mel stood on business tho
"Malone, shoe dat pizza chip"
Ernie's interpretaTion was superb
Tony Scared Him To Death 😂
Great acting from Ernie, he looked really scared! 😰😜👍
Ernie got the job!
That sip of jack probably tasted better than any drink Ernie had in his life
the best 5 seconds of this movie is earnie realizing hes gonna live, shaking drinking out of the bottle.
Proverbs 15:17
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
´Hey man you got a job´
Ernie Job interview is how you keep the candidate that like from looking elsewhere, you simply make a kind offer, Job or Death. You will always win as the employer. lol
I always thought that the way he sips from the bottle and wipes his mouth was grade A acting lol
2:02 So long Mel have a good trip
Ernie never messed with Tony.. called no shots, why not employ him.
Frank went out begging for his life, Mel went out cursing Tony.
I moved to Miami, early 80's, this film came, saw it at the old Riviera Theater in Coral Gables, at the intermission, people were freaked, and walking out..
"Hey man, you got a job!" RIP Angel Salazar
Ernie needed a swig of Jack after that and I don't blame him.
When you’re a cop without backup.
When you are a cop without principles.
“What positions do you hav- 🧠💥
I love this Scene 🎬
Ernie was like what your going to do? I can stare down death and not blink.
Al pac is the chef in this scene 😊
But the other boys should listen and just be friends. Be honestly
Can't believe one of the Wise Men (Doug Rosselli) from Training Day was resurrected 18 years after this movie.
He says "dog" and "day" in the same sentence.
Before this film, he was in Dog Day Afternoon.
1:01 Grand Theft Auto Libert City Stories Final Mission Dialouge Scene.
THE WORLD IS YOURS
This is sooo good even tho god said vengeance was his…this the best revenge ever man I love this scene
Want a job Ernie?!?!
that cop was so proud even until the end !!!
"Shoot dat pizza chip"
A job ? More like a life.
1:29 Al’s cool as ice
I had it pointed out to me that the show Sopranos is violence pron and is indebted to Scarface. That makes sense in this scene
1:05 why would you open your mouth Mel jeez
Everyonei that room was Murdered in the end.
Revenge is sweet but the best revenge for me…is through god

Good. Some people have agreed they have the character of dog. Sniffing and barking at strangers.
Feech La Manna begging like a cockroach
Ernie the bodyguard stands there and lets his boss get shot. Then Tony goes and hires Ernie as his bodyguard. Go figure.

Ernie was a thug just like the rest of them but somehow, I felt sorry for him.
Welcome to the limit!
I always wondered if Tony killed Mel because hes from Cuba and hes had it up to here with corrupt officials.
:D he said what e_e okay we have to act
