Glennis is also a diva in the netherlands and exceptional singer! Whitney lives on in her, no other singer in the world comes as close to Whitney in terms of sound, but Glennis does her own thing. Matching with Whitney is very difficult;-)

Because there are people who are very determined to ruin her carreer and her, I have decided to tell the full story, as is known now. Gossip media and haters are leaving out essential parts in their quest to harm her. In February this year, her son came home covered in blood and said he'd been beaten up by staff of a supermarket. Glennis made the mistake of reacting to that impulsively and she went to the supermarket, with her son and boyfriend at that time, 3 of her son's friends and another person. She still cannot talk about what happened there, but the statement by her lawyer said she went there to demand an explanation and she got laughed at. What happened exactly and what her role was, is not known yet. Security camera footage is there, but didn't come out to the public. But it turned into a fight. She got arrested and has to appear in court end of October. Immediately gossip media and haters started with gossip and their own version of what had happened. They started leaving out that her son came home, face covered in blood. She has publically apoligized for acting impulsively and not counting to 10. She acted like a lioness for her son. But she should have known better, she said. A few months after, she started her tour that had been postponed 4 or 5 times due to Covid restrictions. She didn't want to let her fans down. The gossip press and haters started calling venues, intimidating and threathening them, to try to get them to cancel her. In one case, that happened. Most venues didn't cancel her. The gossip press went to concerts to talk to the visitors and stir. For example close to the German border. They told them: do you know what she has done? The germans didn't care, they came for her voice. The same when the concert was in Belgium. A gossip team went there to tell the Belgians. But the belgians loved her anyway.
In the beginning of each concert there is an intro, before she starts with the song Running. On my channel, I have put the english translation of that intro in the descriptions of the Intro en Running videos. She still cannot talk about what happened exactly at that supermarket, but she said what she could. Including the indescribable hate she has gotten, that almost broke her. That her side of the story doesn't get a fair chance.
That hate is not new however. She has been fighting racism and any kind of injuctice for a long time. And has paid the price for it. For years she has gotten lots of hate, threaths and even death threats. Us as fans have gotten our fair share of hate and threats too, but nowhere near as much as her. It seems as though they are taking advantage of a mistake she has made, which she has apologized for already many times and she has to appear in court for it. But they seem to smell her blood and have wanted to ruin her for years already.
There has been a lot of hate for years, but since the incident almost 6 months ago, it has intensified. But, more importantly, the more hate we saw and got, the more love we wanted to give. The mutual love between GG and her fans was felt so much and also the love between fans. Hate messages actually were the reason for fans to come together and love and support each other. It's up to the judge to decide, not the people. We may not agree with her choices or actions, but we have seen her beautiful heart many times. One mistake doesn't make her a bad person. I hope people will show some extra love to her and her fans. After all the hate, threats and even death threats. She is not a mass murderer, yet she is being treated as one. Please leave the judging to the judges.
