Candy Dulfer is a saxophonist that performed with stars like madonna and prince. Prince actually said:"if I want sax, I call Candy."
For me, this is the best cover of Whitney Houston's I will always love you, ever. Ever! Awesome. She is from another planet. Wow. Candy Dulfer oh my goodness.... goosebumps all over my body.
Love Glennis Grace's voice! And don't forget Candy Dulfer.... that woman can play the sax like a bomb! She had often perform with Prince at his concerts.
Candy Dulfer is a Dutch Saxophone player, but worldwide known and she performed with great artists like Prince.

Glennis Grace is a Dutch singer and have her own albums and is an artist here in the Netherlands for over 20 years.
She has a black Father from
The Dutch Antilles Islands in the Carribean region a former kolony off the Netherlands.
Her mother is a white women from the Netherlands. She grew up in Amsterdam and Still lives there till this day.
Amsterdam is the Capitol off the Netherlands.
So Amsterdam has a lot of venues where she gives her concerts.

Goosebumps! Undoubtfully this is the closest cover of Whitney's 'I Will Always Love You' I have ever heard till now. It comes to my attention that most of the time, Glennis Grace uses the same vocal technique Whitney used in all her songs (head/chest voice, falsetto, vibrato, adlib, dynamic, arrangement), which we all know, is not easy at all, given the fact that many singers has failed in attempt to do it. Glennis just knows 'how to do it correctly'. I know we have different opinion bro, but in my humble opinion Glennis Grace deserves not only the respect for her attempt to follow Whitney's style faithfully, but also our praise for her achievement to do it flawlessly!

To say she doesn't sound that much Whitney PROVES you have no ear. Anyway, look for her "Afscheid" video (Dutch for Goodbye) She sings it in her first language which is Dutch.

Maybe we all can agree on the fact that the question who sounds more like the great Whitney is kind of irrelevant. There was only one Whitney , god rest her soul ! Both Christina and Glennis are amazing performers in their own way. All music that people sing from there hearts and soul makes me smile and that's what counts. I love Glennis and I hope she gets a chance to shine big in the states because she deserves a huge stage to bring as much joy to people with her voice as possible . Keep following her and keep enjoying her beautiful voice.

Actually Glennis can sound like Whitney then switch right over to sounding like Mariah Carey or another Artist when singing their tunes. She is so gifted. I'm rooting for her on AGT. The duo who wrote the song: Run to You, that was used in the Bodyguard movie soundtrack actually had Glennis Grace come to Los Angeles last summer to put on a special performance for them!
Professional musicians and singers have remarked that there is virtually no difference between her and Houston'\s voice and there is even a video online doing a side by side comparison, where if you close your eyes it's hard to tell them apart.

1. By stopping the performance every few seconds to criticize her for performing a song that that has been signing since she first heard WH when Glennis was only 6 years old.
2. You admit to not being a vocalist and that it has been YEARS since you heard WH sing that song, but still you are going to claim that GG sounds NOTHING like WH. Despite her tone, tambre and timing being EXACTLY the SAME!
Oh whoopee you congratulated Candy Dulfur for doing a good job, she should be doing a good job considering that she is a Grammy Award Nominated Musician, who started playing the saxophone at the age of 6!

If you watch the video ONCE MORE you'll see that I DID NOT claim that "GLENNIS GRACE SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE WHITNEY HOUSTON". If you go to Part 1 of this series of videos you'll find that I DID in fact state that Christina's Timbre/Tone sounds closer to Whitney's, IN MY OPINION.

By the way, I like your comments, I only don't understand that you, being in the music business, do not know who Candy Dulfer is. She toured with Prince for several years, played with good friend Maceo Parker, also with Aretha Franklin, Van Morrisson, Rosa King, The Time, Blondie to name a few.

I hate when people pretend to be something that they obviously aren't.
The music industry only has approximately 45,000 musicians, singers and
even with those in the role of 'Producer' (Meaning that they provide
technical expertise) the number barely reaches 90.000.
I give those figures to illustrate that relatively speaking, at least in
the U.S. The music industry is relatively small. It's no wonder that
information on members is easy to get.
So there is virtually NO reason for someone who claims to be a music
producer to say something like: "Candy Dulfur, I never heard of this
person." I mean WTF?!
Then I ask him what he has produced and I get NO response.
To me no response means that he hasn't produced anything.

I assume most of people who show hate on Christina Aguilera here are black, just because you usually tend to discriminate and underestimate white singers.But Christina is one of a kind: 'white as snow' but with the most absolutely awesome, powerhouse and soulful vocals that not even Glennis may have.Christina's vocal colour is exquisite too and she can easily win the battle against any black existing singer.All my love goes for Christina of course, the voice of the generation ❤🤩

I actually think you're review was great. Nothing wrong with expressing your views at the time you hear it. You were honest and argumentative about it, so yeah… I agree with you that the beginning was somewhat underwhelming, considering her talent she could have put more into it. Having said that, I think she maybe just wanted to build up the song to create a bigger "wow' moment when she hits those hard-to-hit notes.,

Frankly, i never felt she sounded like Whitney, she enjoys singing Whitney songs, and she's in that 1% of singers, who can pull it off, but she's her own voice so to speak.
We got another dutch singer, who stars in the Whitney Houston musical, her name in Romie Monteiro, and i think her voice is more alike to Whitney, than Glennis' voice is.
That being said, Glennis is one of our best singers for sure, maybe even the best we got, but that would not be a fair statement to make because we got some serious talent running around as it is.
Another talent in this song, is Candy, and most will likely not know her, or maybe have a small recollection of having heard that name before, let me elaborate on her background as a musician.
She's the daughter to Hans Dulfer, a world renowned sax player, and Candy followed in his footsteps, she got noticed by a few major artists of the time, one being non other than Prince, with who she toured and recorded, she also had a massive hit by the name of "lily was here".
Other acts she performed with and recorded with, are of the same caliber as Prince, name van Morrison, Pink Floyd and Dave Steward (Eurythmics).
She's also part of "the ladies of soul" of which, Glennis is a member as well.
(Edit * People compare to easily, if it sounds like, it is like, that kind of thing, and for that i have another example lined up, Greta van Fleet vs Led Zeppelin, people claim they sound exactly the same as well, but actually they dont, but they are darn close, and thats Glennis for me, like the singer from Greta van Fleet, inspired by a certain singer, but very much their own voice, and that, having the ability to do these difficult songs, plus their own voice, gives them the freedom to change things a little left and right, make it more their own, and that way, giving these songs a new presence and maybe even a new meaning)
voor mij is het meer een kwestie van "hoe goed ken ik een stem" die van Glennis kan ik dromen, dus ik hoor nooit whitney in haar stem, en toegegeven, ben in minder bekend met Romi, buiten de paar tv optredens die ze gedaan heeft. kan een gevalletje zijn als dat van Glennis, de meesten horen Whitney als ze zingt terwijl ze toch echt als Glennis klinkt, wellicht ervaar ik Romi op een vergelijkbare manier.
In elk geval kan Romi ook zingen als de besten :)
