It's actually incorrect. While the white death was indeed fearsome depending on how you look at it. His kill count is unimpressive when you look at the time it took him to kill 500. While 500 is the confirm number, it's unlikely they killed anything over 510. While he is one of if not the deadliest sniper in history, this is a low kill count for a feared Soldier. But nonetheless we salute him along with the Soviets who gave him his name out of respect.
