Out of all his Chelsea seasons, he underperformed in only one season and that season, Chelsea as a whole were absolute shit, not just him. Every year except for that 2015-16 season, he performed outstandingly. Every week, almost every game. He was the closest thing to Messi/Ronaldo after Neymar. He created goals and assists out of nowhere, dribbled past defenders like they were nothing, had vision comparable to the best midfielders, could play one touch passes and link up with any striker. Man was he complete. He was the best player in the 2018 world cup hands down, his performance against France is definitely in the top 5 best solo performances in a world cup game. They were just unlucky that day. The comparisons with Salah are so unnecessary. Salah is a great winger and finisher no doubt, but this man, he could create magic out of absolutely nowhere and win the game for his team. He could beat you with his close control, skills, passing, heck he even has the pace to just burst past you. His gameplay can't be measured with stats, you just had to see him. If messi and ronaldo were not born, him and neymar would have run riot.
