" I Love China " is a military anthem of the Republic of China . Lin Junchang wrote the lyrics and Cheng Jiezhong composed the music. During the period of mobilization to suppress the rebellion , the last two lines of the lyrics "We want to eliminate the Communist bandits and revive the Republic of China" were changed to: "We must be respectful and self-improvement, and we must revive China " during the Chen Shui-bian government .
Influenced by its chief of staff, former Republic of China Army Special Warfare officer Zhang Suquan , and the remnants of the Thai-Myanmar lone army, the Mongtai Army of Myanmar drug lord Khun Sa rewrote the lyrics and wrote it as "I Love Shan State" as a military anthem. After the Wa State, which broke away from the Communist Party of Burma, absorbed Wei Xuegang , the remnant of the Thai-Myanmar lone army from Khun Sa in 1995, he also rewrote the tune into "I Love Wa State" as the Wa State anthem. Artist Xu Xiaoshun also rewrote the lyrics to the spoof version "I Love Winter Melon".
