I love your videos, I love these flowers but I discovered that I'm a ham fisted klutz! It took me 4 miles of wire ( ok that's a slight exageration) and 5 attempts to make something that didn't look like the dog had been crafting. I'm deleriously happy now I have a proper looking flower!
These are stunning Samantha! I understand how therapeutic it is to make beautiful things. It's been eleven months since my husband passed and it was quite traumatic for me. Long story but I'm fine, very grateful for my craft and So happy to get to know you thru youtube. I hope you are doing better Sam, Hugs.
I’ve watched several tutorials on similar flowers and had minimal success. This is by far and away the best for me. Success! You explain things so well and take your time. Thank you so much! Greetings from 🇨🇦
This will be a challenge for me but I will try this! Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into making your awesome tutorials, dear Samantha!
I just found you Samantha and I am so impressed with all the amazing designs you come up with! I too handmake jewelry and have a website but have been wanting to incorporate new designs. Thank you for inspiring and sharing your gift! Blessings and love your way!! ❤
The flowers are so pretty!!!!! And wouldn't you know it I already have those very mandrels. I bought them 5 or 6 years ago and I don't remember why. I never used them. I will now though. Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial. I love how they look difficult to make when in reality they aren't. It might take me a couple of go around with them, but I feel sure that I can do this. I hope you and your family are doing well.
We’re doing good, Jeanetta. And I hope you’re all well too. I always think it’s a great idea to hang onto everything! They will always come in handy one day 😍
Sensational !! What a beautiful component and design … love the explanation and careful demonstration of how you get that precision of size and spacing in your work .. gorgeous pieces , versatile component . 🌺 you have a weird fridge 😀😀
@@samanthalatimer1 awesome demos … some of the best I’ve seen… you’d be great at teaching little classes too , maybe you can gather together some locals there and start a group … I’d love to do that too , maybe like three or four women , get the stuff together , you have enough tools too , serve a little tea or something and charge something per head , that covers the cost of the materials , your time and etc … you WOULD make an excellent teacher … you have the skills , the humor , the warmth . Thanks again for appearing in my TH-cam feed a few months ago !
I absolutely love this necklace and earring set and have tried several times to form the petals. Unfortunately, I have neuropathy in my hands from a combination of (past) chemo and insulin-resistant diabetes, and my fumble fingers aren't cooperating. Alas, I'll have to admire these pieces from afar! Luckily, I haven't had a problem with your necklace links and have made a bracelet (lots of compliments) and am working on a wraparound necklace.
Oh I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling with these. That’s such a shame, but you must protect your hands and your health 🥰glad you’re enjoying the links though 🤗
You may have better luck just using your thumb or finger nail to shape each side of the petals. My hands arent the best with juggling tools, either, so I just open each petal gap to an A shape, stick my thumb through it, and with myy fingers form each side of the petal to the curve of my nail. Do give it a try, Id love to know if this works for someone else!
If you put your nail of choice up through the petal-to-be, and pull/push the wire around your nail, then reverse to do the other side, it makes a lovely petal curve.
This is so pretty, Samantha! I think I’ve seen another tutorial for this type of design, but your teaching approach was much easier to follow. Do you think it would work to make a 5 or 7 petal design just by stretching a bit more? Also thinking that seed bead/centre bead could be used for rings and other focals. Thank you SO much for that!
Hello - I'm so glad you found the tutorial easy to follow! I think it would be fine with 5 or 7 petals for sure. Just alter the length of wire and you'll be fine! Funny you should mention a ring... as I have a tutorial coming out this evening for a ring using the centre focal :)
This flower is perfect for a bracelet design I have . I have seen ladies using bare copper wire ,but I cannot find it . Can you share where you found your wire ? Please and thank you !😊😍
What am I doing wrong I get to shape the petals then when I come in with the mendral it goes belly up. I zoom in and I still struggle to see how you do it. help😢
