I agree. Let’s see what you can do to a smaller displacement “beginner” bike. Sure you won’t be having any 200 mph smack downs but we’re not all ballin with a 70k budget.

I would recommend a "hot knife" for trimming plastic... cleaner, quicker, easier...
hot knife, like a heated utility knife with a propane torch?

I saw you said your doing a smaller displacement bike. If it’s a 600cc sport bike I will be all over it. The only thing that has stopped me from joining patron with the r1 is because I’m not ready for that size of bike at that high level.
Do that New Aprilia 660. R6 zX-636 or cbr600
but if you won a 1000cc you could just sell it and buy a 600 with tons of money to spare...

Hey ib an other great upgrade would you every consider putting a Lazer jammer on the bike radar detector when it's so strips down then the winner be able let's just say use the potential of the bike and not worry as much about the men in blue/black😁

Quick question, what if the cutout isn’t aligned with the line on the shifter? I changed mine to GP shift so I had to move mine to get a 90 degree angle.

We are doing a smaller displacement bike in this build series and will include a smaller bike in future builds.
With a 2020 R1, can the battery just be swapped without and ECU issues? Someone told me the security system would lock it if the battery power was taken off?

Any suggestions on why my 2018 R1 is clicking when I go to start? Only 3300 miles on it? I got bought the Super Start battery from O’Reillys & can only jump it to get started. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is there not a proper sized battery available that fits the bike, instead of making the motorcycle fit the battery?

You should have the swing arm painted black.
Is the only advantage to the speedcell to other lithium ion batteries the quick disconnect?
It weighs less and doesn't require as much maintenance.
Compared to other Lithium based batteries, no. Shorai batteries also weigh around 2lbs.
The battery change was unnecessary in my opinion
It saved weight, doesn't require as much maintenance and lasts longer.

As much as I like these videos, I agree with this. If the battery doesn't fit, should go with one that does. That quick disconnect is nice BUT I wouldn't hack my bike to make it fit.
No need to change battery unless it’s a track bike and are at very high level racing.

1 question 650ib? Do you loose any of your ecu settings when you exchanged your battery? And also your flash memory. Does it hold?
Hey man. Great question! The R1M has an internal battery that saves the setting within the ECU and we didn't lose any settings during the battery swap.
Ecu wouldn't erase just on a battery disconnect as the software is written into memory. Otherwise mail in flashing wouldn't be a thing.

Your Lithium Battery is pretty awful, it doesn't even fit in the
compartment. There are so many other Lithium Batteries for the R1M on
the market, and they fit perfectly. You can swap the batteries in minutes and don't have to cut anything..
