I am so grateful to those who have reached out to me personally and are praying for my brother Shannon. I got news today he is dying. My main concern is for his soul, for his belief in Jesus. He is of mixed up feelings with the Catholic Church and attended their services for awhile and is quite taken with their communion services and accoutrements. He is entralled with their pagentries and idols. This saddens me greatly. He even attended a breakaway church of the Catholic faith--and really became confused. Then he attended an SDA church, heard the truth, also about the Sabbath, and it made sense to him, yet because of his social problems, and personality disorder, rejected that particular body of believers, and chucked out the truth with it. I was glad he found the reformed Jewish Rabbi, teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ! My brother financially supported this group for some time. I know God has been attempting to reach my brother through any means with the gospel of Jesus! My brother being developmentally disabled and having an adult learning disability, has a very hard time. I know his soul is reaching for God, yet satan tempts him with pornography too. Please continue to pray for him. He does not have long to live, he is very, very ill physically. I desire him to die knowing Jesus Christ as his Savior, being totally forgiven of his sins as I am and his family too. WE love him so much. My thanks for your prayers for Shannon my dear brother. Not sure where you're getting this info from. He has stated that he lives on a pastor's salary like others. His father was indeed very wealthy, but that money is sitting in a trust, and he does not have it. His wife works, and from the stories and bits of info from his life he gives you can tell it's not the life of the super wealthy. He may be president of AF, but AF is a separate legal entity and he is not entitled to any funds of it. We know from his testimony that his family had wealth and fame, and that he found that the wealthy and famous were not happy, so he did not want wealth and fame. It makes no sense for him to change his mind suddenly. It's actually one of the reasons I think he's got to be the most trustworthy televangelist. He said no to extreme wealth and fame already. The only source I could find that suggests his net worth is anything at all is famouschristians website. A careful reading shows that they do not actually know and that estimates are purely speculative - wording in the article such as "most likely, he was left with a fortune..." It is clearly just guesswork. Pastor Doug has stated that he does not have the money - it's in a trust far away.
