So I’m 40 and plan to retire between 67-70 I have about 30 years to play - I have a roll over IRA at fidelity and would like advice. I’m thinking of this FXAIX at 60% FSGGX 30% FXNAX 10%
FXAIX is a good one to go with. Very similar is FFIDX. This has been in my wife's Roth IRA for over 20 years and it's done very well. Either way, good picks overall.
This is great and all, but how do you ACTUALLY fund these once you choose your allocation? Say you do 50% us stocks, 30% international stocks and 20% US bonds. Does each deposit you make have to be broken out into 3 categories and you have to do the math of whatever you’re going to invest by .50, .30 and .20??
Correct. Or you could use one of Fidelity's "baskets" and it would do that math for you. I might do an over the shoulder video at some point to show the entire process.
Just be extremely mindful of investing in the ZERO funds in a taxable account. They use proprietary Fidelity indices, so if you ever want to move to another platform, you will be forced to sell those positions unlike the equivalent fee-based index funds, and that would of course be a taxable event. I think the ZERO funds are a great investment in tax advantaged accounts, and for taxable accounts, you’re likely better off sticking to ETFs for tax efficiency anyways.
Hey can you discuss options or ways in rolling over multiple 401ks? I am planning to roll it to my new employer that has VINIX but I would like to know more. Thanks for everything I am learning a lot from your videos! I started my ETF too because of you!! :)
@@korndawggy1801 That basically means nothing for us in terms of stock market diversification, as I explained here: th-cam.com/video/fmhZb0hODNo/w-d-xo.html
What does your Fidelity 3 Fund Portfolio look like?
FXAIX, FNAX and FZILX
@@audiolego Thanks for sharing!
FSGGX does not have exposure to small caps whereas FTIHX does.
Thanks!
I currently hold FNILX
🙌

I can't provide personalized advice here.
Great video sir. What about the FIOFX? I mean doesn't that fund basically contain those 3 same funds?
FIOFX is a target date fund.

I can't provide personalized advice and I don't think I have any existing content on 401k rollovers.
FXAIX for now but will add the other two
Thanks for sharing, Mark!
What about just 1 fund like FZROX? I have this in my Roth IRA.
FZROX is just the U.S.
@@OptimizedPortfolio Is this good or bad?
@OptimizedPortfolio some of the companies in it have business outside the US too.
