@@cardiacatsbrand jax have 3 receivers already (kirk, davis, jones) so he can work as a plug and play receiver and doesn't need to be the all down top receiver directly going into day 1. What a luxury to have a Davis and bring a fresh BTJ on the field on a 3rd down situation to have 2 deep threats while Kirk and engram can play the sticks and play underneath. Now we only need to hope that the O-Line is able to give T-Law the time to hit his receivers and not to force turnovers left and right.
Thankfully you’re not in the Jag’s front office. Thomas was highly considered by everyone…. The kid lead the nation in TDs. LSU has produced more than its share of great receivers.
Things worked out perfectly. In 2-3 years, BTJ will be our CeeDee Lamb. I double dip at WR in the later rounds and I do the same at CB, since we have so many guys on expiring deals at corner. This is an extremely deep CB class.
My problem is Baalke did the two things he's the worst at and that's drafting receiver and day 3 picks. I would've taken Verse over Turner but Turner would've been great too. You take the 5th best wr if you include Bowers when you had the top 2 edge, dt's and all of the corners, jpj, darius robinson.
You tired or something? Lol. I really wanted Malik or Rome, but we would’ve had to mortgage our future to do it. This pick really rounds out the room. And doesn’t he feel like a freakier Calvin Ridley? If we can somehow get Kool Aid…
wasnt the worse pick. but i was hoping for turner or verse. i know we need corner but i think it better to have multiple passrushers. u can never have to many. the game makes it hard for corners to cover and they can only cover so long anyway. even in the sb multiple plays got stopped because of chiefs pressure. i just feel like when we play top tier qbs, they have to much time. we gotta find a way to stop cj stroud. and de is the best and fastest way to do it. as i said before the offense depends if trevor take the next step. the offensive roster is good enough to go to playoffs with, especially with thomas now. we'll see.
Am happy with this with the trade back for sure. We could have taken him at 17 and that would have been questionable. Maybe trade up tomorrow? Atl was a huge surprise, even SF with Pearsall was some what a shocker.
My top 25 still available regardless of position.... 1. Jackson Powers-Johnson 2. Edgerrin Cooper 3. Jer'Zhan Newton 4. Braden Fiske 5. Cooper DeJean 6. Cooper Beebe 7. Renardo Green 8. Payton Wilson 9. Tyler Nubin 10. Brandon Dorlus 11.T.J. Tampa 12. Javon Baker 13. Dominick Puni 14. Ruke Orhororo 15. Khyree Jackson 16. Zach Frazier 17. Cedric Gray 18. Trey Benson 19. Christian Jones 20. Ja'Tavion Sanders 21. Adonai Mitchell 22. Christian Haynes 23. Kris Jenkins 24. Kool-Aid McKinstry 25. Zak Zinter
One thing I really like about BTJ, is how quiet he is. I don't think we're gonna be dealing with any "diva" like behavior that you see in a lot of top WR's. He seems very humble and I've seen interviews with his coaches and teammates that say what a nice, quiet guy he is. That would be refreshing.
Bro the corners have dropped Still have kool aid dejean rakestraw sainritil and tj Tampa renardo green available That tells me they believe the drop off between cb in tier 1 and tier 2 is not that large A nice corner is gonna drop right into there lap Great job
I love the trade back regardless if we would've went Mitchell, Arnold, or BTJ. getting BTJ will all the WR run in the late first makes it a better pick now as Kool Aid and Johnny Newton are still on the board and we might be able to trade up and get one of them in the early 2nd
Jumping into the top 10 was never likely fam. The fact that the top 3 receivers all went in the top 10 says we were screw on that end. The first CB didn’t go until like 20? The whole league seems to like these receivers more than those CBs. I had Pearsall low 2nd. The Chiefs moved up for Worthy, somebody we didn’t even want lol I personally wanted a DT or OG. But ain’t mad about BTJ considering how the board looks. Good talent left across the board AND at the other positions we need.
Something can be likely and also not happen. They were clearly making calls and trying, but the Falcons made a wild decision that derailed everyone. Penix was never considered to be likely there. I’m good with the pick and trade though, helps out the rest of this draft and the next.
Ranndy moss and justin Jefferson drafted in the early 20s. Fans finally got themselves a top tier wr since Jimmy Smith.
Slim Jimmy!!!!! Damn he was good
Hope so, it could definitely play out that way if we can have patience with him

I think he’s Tee Higgins +… I wanna see how press Taylor builds this offense now.

Oh yeah, it's stupid late, I'm about to finally sleep
Kool Aid think it's possible
Jags trade Bills Zay Jones, pick 48, 3rd round next year

I think Brian is maybe going to be like a Jordan Addison maybe or zay flower

Would be going nuts if we moved up for Johnny Newton
I love to trade back in theory, however its what you do with those picks, and we have a bad track record with those extra picks
For sure, the trade is great but we have to utilize the picks next year(and 167 this year).

I’m super pumped! To move down like that and get him at 23 is awesome! Can’t help but feel like this really pissed off the Bills too 😆
Yeah, it was a hell of a trade and makes the future mock drafts really fun next year!

I would go nuts if we took Johnny Newton, he was my choice at #23 for the mock rebuild.
I trust Chad Hall to get BTJ over the hump. Love the pick we’ve needed a jump ball guy since Marvin Jones left and BTJ can do that.
