    Great comparison Mark! You always have something insightful to show and say about whatever you’re reviewing or comparing and it’s greatly appreciated. On a side note you made a Pontiac logo at the end 😂

    This choice is understandable and very good. Some will not agree, but from all the Bosch gear I have owned and used, you can’t go wrong with Bosch tools. They have given me great service and if you choose this router, you should be well pleased. Mark, this was a wise decision and you shall not regret it! Stay safe my mates!😊👍🏻😷

    you will probably never see this, but I have the same bosch router and was able to get a set of offset collet wrenches to make it easier to swap bits with it in the table. If you do not have a set, look into them!

    Perfect timing! Just discovered the aperature of my dainty little trim router is too small for a couple bits I'm gonna need to use on an upcoming project! Still slowly re-building my tool collection, since I now have a dedicated shop space with plugs. Cordless tools are handy, but as your projects grow, it's nice to not have things die mid-cut. LOL
    That benchtop router table you have listed in the description is pretty awesome, too! I feel like I could build something better, but for $200, I'm just gonna get that and be done with it!
    Thanks for the video, Mark! Merry Christmas!

    I use the DeWalt DW618 in my lift. It’s 2 1/4 HP with full feedback control and speed up to 24k rpm. It works like a champ.

    • @carterscustomrods
      @carterscustomrods 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Dewalts do NOT like being upside down. In the woodworking industry, the 616, and 618 routers never last long, unless upright.

    my pc is still going strong , that bosch does look like a close relative of it at a really good price too ... not a fan of door knob style handles but like handles that Makita RP2301FC has

  • @mikstr22
    @mikstr22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I personally use the dewalt cordless router. I don’t like having the cord pulling at the top of the router and it’s plenty powerful for basically everything I need. Paired with a whiteside 1/4 spiral flush trim bit. Bosch is fine but I don’t like the way the router slides into the base. After a few months the pins started to bind and it gave me all sorts of problems.

    • @PhiMobileSounds
      @PhiMobileSounds 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Best sound is subjective and depends on the fitment of your vehicle. However, Rockford provides the suggested volumes and example dimensions on the product pages and/or manuals on the site for ported and seal applications. If you bought new the info should be in your manual.

    • @_BAD_MERC_
      @_BAD_MERC_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That COMPLETELY depends on the type of vehicle, amplification, alternator output, installation quality, source unit, materials used, type of music... The parameters are endless. However, I am using three JL 10W3v3-8's on a single 500/1 and each sub is in the manufacturers recommended sealed enclosure (.55 CuFt). I have a baffled and braced enclosure assembled with cabinet-grade materials and the inside of the enclosure is painted with latex paint to prevent "breathing". It is punchy with a kick drum, will give you goosebumps with a cello, and will play pipe organ from Dorsey's Bachbusters.

    I just recently got a Parkside (from Lidl) as it was on sale. I saw the price and jumped on it...was reading somewhere that they are similar to Bosch...will find out. Hopefully it does have the same features. You are a great reviewer and communicator. Any reason why Porter Cable decided to stop making routers?

      Not sure why, but the quality of PC has been going down hill for years. I have a 890 that speed control died on at 2 years and PC ignored the 3 year warranty and told me good luck, used speed controls are more then the router was new. I was Done with the brand at that point. Sadly I have several PC routers.
