Of course there isn't ..a lot of people will NEVER see the original so not sure why continue to compare 🤔 .. these young artist can't win for losing ...
Expressing admiration for amazing performances from the original production doesn't mean anyone or anything about the current production is less than winning. To imply that it does is unfair... and wrong. As just one example, even this revival paid tribute to Hinton Battle (original Scarecrow on Broadway) but that doesn't diminish Avery Wilson's excellent performance. Remember, Geoffrey Holder's original production didn't have audiences already familiar with the show and eager to see and love it again. It had to be amazing to be a big hit and this revival wouldn't be happening if the original producing had failed.
Going in June and I can't WAIT!!!
I saw this production ...I LOVE IT 💕💕
Yay!!!
Thank you for easing on down the yellow brick road with us!
I saw it! Must see it three times.❤
Yesssss
Saw the show last weekend...Loved it!!!!!
I just saw you passing by today going to see the opening of that new show with Rachel McAdams
Great work Kandi and Todd.xx
Dee Dee Bridgewater won a Tony playing Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, not Addaperle.
Shout out to the memory of Clarice Taylor who originated the role of Addapearl (at a time when it was a significantly larger role than it is today).
The album is classic Broadway.
Truly!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A+Across The Board I Saw This On 8/16/24
Thanks for this. I can't wait next week. I wanted Stephanie Mills but I was too young. The movie wss was terrible.
