It takes Flus 2 years to teach these guys to play hard?? What complete BS. The technique for the offense is not very good. Courtney is wrong. Fields has turned into a much better QB. He relied less on his legs and more on passing which is what he did in college. Fields turned the ball over less and scored a good amount of total TDs. I mean how can you genuinely say he is the same QB? He finally has a real coach. Even Caleb Williams father has questioned the coaching. The coaching has always been the issue but many of you media personalities all pinned it on Justin and thought replacing the QB was enough. The answer is simple. Once again CHI drafted the wrong QB. You can see special immediately. It doesn't take years to see true talent. Daniels shows specialness that transcends an organization and uplifts. By contrast, Caleb's ceiling is the Dak/Baker tier. Those QBs are ok, but they need talent and scheme to lift them, they don't raise everyone else.

Yes. This team is very attractive for a HC it’s got young talent a dominant defense and franchise qb. And it has a very healthy salary cap and draft pick situation. When poles took over none of this was the case. Poles also had shown restraint in the building process not chasing bad contracts but he’s going to need to fix the oline.
YES. BUT answer should be no. he's done enough with crafty draft maneuvering to buy himself some time. problem is there's more to the job than fleecing foolish teams like the panthers. Good lord I'm depressed over this.. (
@JJ-zr6fu This is not a dominant defense . Without Sweat and Billings they get pushed around versus the run. Get ready for every team to run on the Bears and get ready for every opponent to blitz every play.
If the bears fire Waldron or even remove play calling from him, how do you keep Flus? What are they going to give Waldron play calling duties back next season? Allow Flus to pick another OC? No way, he’s gone if it doesn’t work out with Waldron.
Eberflus never ‘worries’ about the number of hits his QB takes. He figures it’s part of the Eberflus process. Exchange the word process for the word deflection. As long as there’s a rookie to blame, he thinks he’s clean. Behind that is Poles’ difficulty admitting he was wrong to keep the guy and McCaskey believing Flus is the right kind of guy. Give McCaskey what he wants to start the new Stadium if he makes R. Rivera interim and hires Ben Johnson at seasons’ end, and Flus is gone tonight. Poser Warren doesn’t figure in any of this.
if he feels in this manner ...he's a fool. expectations were for a competetive team this year. yeah we have a rookie QB but he's supposed to have a talented supporting cast to mask that. seems like the defense quit on the team last week. first time i've seen them do that all season. they should not let their frustrations with the offense effect their play. just be awesome and keep it up. offense is not their department. but that's not how they feel apparently. there's fracture beneath the surface emotionally with the players that's for sure. but what it it? that's the question that i'd love to know. WHY???
@ Yes i don’t know what Flus thinks. But i know they win this week or he’s in for disaster. He has to win with the guys who can play. This was supposed to be a hard team to have a position on. Somebody should be able to fill in for guys that are hurt.
Courtney is right: Waldron didn’t have an amazing offense in Seattle At the same time, GB HC LaFleur also came from a terrible offense in Tennessee prior to getting the gig. Point being, it’s not as simple as it’s just Waldron’s fault. Honestly, I’m left uninspired by the WR play this year. I think they have the biggest share of the blame after the O-line.
It comes down to the players, missed passes, dropped footballs, bad pass blocking, poor body language. Just the way the players interact with each other feels like the cowboys. This is beyond coaching
Spent all that time naming off the weapons added and just mind blanked that it meant they did nothing to address a key issue from the last several years, the OL. And somehow these very smart football reporters are shocked that it's not working... Entire city has gone full football stupid.
One of the reasons I was excited about Caleb Williams was his group wasn’t going to put up with the mccaskeys bs and if they wanted to keep him they’d have to stop acting like a mom and pop shop
@@jasonjanisewski78 his accuracy is disappointing I'll grant you that. UNLESS he's on a the run and about to run out of bounds....THEN he's laser sharp! But only then! In the pocket this accuracy is shaky at best.
Question for you guys, what is a guy like Brian Thomas who is passing game coordinator doing during the games? Is he on headset in the box saying anything to Waldron? Like yo dude, this shit isn’t working
every week the chicago sports media is looking for a new drama to talk about,. first is was non stop about that lucky hail mary, now itll be about DJ moore for the next-12 weeks lol
Since you're having a roundtable discussion of the state of the Chicago bears i want to point this prominent aspect out that not many if any have... The" Prestigious Mccaskey's" sit a top of this franchise year after yeat , after year and directs these yes men ( just what they want) and what i call an abomination of coaching carousel and inept play on the field and then have the audacity to think its an honor of sorts to not fire coaches during season in which eludes to they care nothing more than the bottom line!! And until that train of thought and or attitude ends we'll continue to see this abysmal product on the field and sidelines continue to be well..... unwatchable!!
This team just isn’t fun and my pessimistic prediction for the team was 7-10 (mostly bc of the coach) now I’m not quite sure they get 3 more wins outside of “it’s football”
I know. It sucks! I was so excited. Hard Knocks they seemed fun and so genuine with eachother. Regular season comes and we can't beat anybody better than the Jags/Titans type of quality. Rams game was just weird and the Rams were in flux so hard to give the bears much credit for that one. Main concern is we are trending DOWN .....(((( GOD I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE (((((
Its like the 2004 Cubs, imploding and attacking the media, very unlikable. I gave up on the Cubs after that, hope I wont do the same for the Bears. C'mon guys, get it together!
Justin Fields was a better QB, Justin changed his footwork in year 2 and 3 with Luke Getsy's offense, who by the way just got fired as an OC in Oakland, then went to Pittsburg and changed his footwork back to what it was under his first year with Nagy, that takes time, its a process
Footwork takes time to change. Getsy tried changing him so much to the point that the guy just lost all his confidence. Fields took too many hits to build good habits. Caleb Williams is going to experience the exact same thing. From what I’ve seen so far, he is not generational. His deep ball is actually awful. Instead of building the o line, we got him weapons. Without an o line, how can you expect a guy to do great?
@Ocelotmaniac , I agree, im not even judging Caleb on the line, when he does get time and the line holds up his throws downfield are going out of bounds there not even in the field of play. He also compounds the problem when he takes sacks because he's not athletic like Justin, Ive counted at least 4 times the Bears were in field goal range in the last couple of games and he took sacks trying to run around on 3rd down and make a play that put them out of field goal range
It’s funny when you guys and your guests cry about the coaches/players coming at the media. Sports journalists take themselves way too seriously 😂. Good episode though
Because it shows the staff and team unable to hold themselves accountable. They get defensive and it’s cuz the media is asking genuinely concerning questions…questions that us fans and anyone watching the games are already thinking as they happen. Media didn’t make up Stevensons fuck up and flus not using timeouts
You guys did perpetuate this by buying the hype on Caleb. Now the team sucks, the players dont want to play for him and you could have gotten a ton of picks for the #1 overall to build this team up for years to come. This is what you talking heads deserve, a team that sucks perpetually
I don’t think hardbaugh was coming to the bears or worth going after. A better question would’ve been should flus have stayed and that was without out question no. He should’ve been gone
Fields killed both the Cardinals and Commanders with less talent and same online Caleb has to do better rookie or not Fields never looked this bad even as a rookie this was hard to watch then you didn’t scout no other Quarterback
I swear I don’t care what platform Courtney is on, she always takes shots at Justin Fields as if he’s a scrub or trash. Courtney you need to slow your role at always taking a shot at Justin as if he’s not a good human being and man. Justin was put into a bad situation just like every other damn QB we bring in and you seem to always take shots at Justin Fields and Justin only. He’s not the only QB that we’ve had that’s been in this horrible system, but yet “AGAIN” you “ONLY” take shots at him and him only and I wonder why? 🤔 You’re on your high horse today, but doesn’t mean you will always be riding high so remember that 💯
When the players are talking about the media being the problem they mean you hyping up Caleb so that Poles drafted him thinking it would buy him at least 3 years of job security. Caleb sucks, the team didn't want him, but you all hyped him up so much that Poles made a business decision thinking he bought job security drafting Caleb instead of building the team. You guys suck
I question the Bears approach. Eberflus (& Poles) wants himself and the coaches to be the players best friends/mentors. These are grown men and professional atheletes. Coach them. Coach them hard. Keep them to the standards you set, hold them accountable and call them out. Stop this soft, kid gloves approach. Players want to win games, everything else is a distant second.
how do these four have no mention about how eberflus promoted morgan to run game coordinator and coincidentally the oline has regressed severely and the run game is really mediocre at best. There are too many issues that fall at the feet of eberflus...he needs to be fired.
More than just Chicago. The national level talking heads all said Caleb was the best of them all. ALL OF THEM. Very few analyst actually had JD as better. Some didn’t even have JD as #2 but instead #3
that's an unoriginal and lazy thought at the moment. that's easy. he's not trash. he got drafted by trash. he's a rookie qb with loads of talent. his problem is that he's a chicago bear.
Courtney your assessment of Fields is terrible... Fields was a pocket QB before he got on our terrible team he was forced to become a runner... just like Williams is being forced to become a runner... you should probably use context when your trying to trash young QB's
i like caleb BUT "fields was a pocket QB"? When was this? I watched ALL his college games at OU and USC..."pocket QB"??? uhhh nope. not to say he COULDN'T BE but he's been in situations where's he's had to improvise more than not.
Same story for this franchise for the bulk of the last 30+ years. They are such a joke & embarrass the fanbase weekly. It’s insane that they can’t get it right just once. All goes back to ownership
Caleb Williams is not the guy, he is what people were saying, can't throw on time and is inaccurate with a weak arm. The only thing elite about Caleb is the enormous about of bloviated hype around him. Listen to yourself, you have the same blinders on that Poles had for Caleb. I know you guys have to cozy up to the front office but damn, get off da nutz.
They should have took cliff Kingsbury as oc 100000% they took shane cause oh wow Shane wasn't available but now hc fired so he is let's get him well shit idea 🙄 could took cliff already had relationship with Calab Willams also should have fired Flus in off season
well they didn't so we have to move on...didn't happen and it's not gonna. bears brass can't handle a powerful figure like harbaugh...he would scare the crap outta them...they like less powerful guys so they can stay in control of the house.
@ well until they can handle a powerful figure at head coach they aren’t going to win anything and I will continue to point it out till the end of my days.
Caleb sucks he’s not better then fields ever was we told you people sell Caleb he was terrible against good college defenses if the nfl the worst defense is better than the best college defenses he’s a bust he’s not half as better then Justin

@JJ-zr6fu This is not a dominant defense . Without Sweat and Billings they get pushed around versus the run. Get ready for every team to run on the Bears and get ready for every opponent to blitz every play.
Bring Courtney back she’s the best 🐻⬇️
Courtney’s coverage > everything
Courtney is right: Waldron didn’t have an amazing offense in Seattle
At the same time, GB HC LaFleur also came from a terrible offense in Tennessee prior to getting the gig.
This is beyond coaching
that's true but WHY is this happening? whey can't they be coached and get along? what's the underlying problem that needs addressed? they have talent.
Spent all that time naming off the weapons added and just mind blanked that it meant they did nothing to address a key issue from the last several years, the OL. And somehow these very smart football reporters are shocked that it's not working... Entire city has gone full football stupid.
Changing OC mid season would make issues worse....wait till off season
One of the reasons I was excited about Caleb Williams was his group wasn’t going to put up with the mccaskeys bs and if they wanted to keep him they’d have to stop acting like a mom and pop shop
Fuck it caleb should go rouge. Start calling his own plays via varsity blues
Call his own plays and he'll still throw the ball out of bounds. His accuracy sucks and he isn't a very special athlete
He would call his favorite play...a go ball to nobody in particular
@@jasonjanisewski78 his accuracy is disappointing I'll grant you that. UNLESS he's on a the run and about to run out of bounds....THEN he's laser sharp! But only then! In the pocket this accuracy is shaky at best.
Is CW playing because he is the best QB on the rooster, or is it because CW said he wasn't going to sign if he isn't QB1.
Question for you guys, what is a guy like Brian Thomas who is passing game coordinator doing during the games? Is he on headset in the box saying anything to Waldron?
Like yo dude, this shit isn’t working
gotta have courtney on more often
Wonder who the next GM/Qb/Coach is gonna be.
Doesn't make any difference they will be complete failures too because that's who the McCaskeys hire time after time !
I am in State of wanting Bears to lose AGAIN for better pick and Coaching staff change. Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH GAWD.......(head in hands) .... I just can't anymore with this team. They break my heart every damn day. I love them but I can't handle them.
every week the chicago sports media is looking for a new drama to talk about,. first is was non stop about that lucky hail mary, now itll be about DJ moore for the next-12 weeks lol
Mobile qb in the past have poor offensive line protection
And who is responsible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lincoln Riley would be a disaster. He also has like a 100 million dollar contract with USC. Unlikely.
Everybody was cool with letting a rookie QB grow until you had to watch him grow. This whining is soft.
Unfortunately the owner doesn’t have to answer to anyone so it’s not worth talking about. The best fans and media can do is demand better coaches.
@@JJ-zr6fu I agree and yes you're right there's a reason they stay out the public eye
No one is attacking these clowns
no shit, right!? enough already! pick yourselves up bears, while you still can. and they can! dammit!
Great episode
Caleb is a sober Johnny Manzel
@@jontelmurphy5996 yup! I like Caleb still but man, its the same story. We suck 😅
Justin is doing really well on the bench in Pittsburgh
Flus is starting to speak in these interviews like Kamala
It’s funny when you guys and your guests cry about the coaches/players coming at the media. Sports journalists take themselves way too seriously 😂. Good episode though
BECAUSE when coaches and players start attacking media that's when you know the ship is sinking.
Yep
we suck why blame the media for talking about the bullshit they got themselves into stfu
Because it shows the staff and team unable to hold themselves accountable. They get defensive and it’s cuz the media is asking genuinely concerning questions…questions that us fans and anyone watching the games are already thinking as they happen. Media didn’t make up Stevensons fuck up and flus not using timeouts
You got no idea how this all works, do you?
if they break caleb they will all be fired
You guys did perpetuate this by buying the hype on Caleb. Now the team sucks, the players dont want to play for him and you could have gotten a ton of picks for the #1 overall to build this team up for years to come. This is what you talking heads deserve, a team that sucks perpetually
Take the bottom of the north 😂
I don’t think hardbaugh was coming to the bears or worth going after. A better question would’ve been should flus have stayed and that was without out question no. He should’ve been gone
Fields killed both the Cardinals and Commanders with less talent and same online Caleb has to do better rookie or not Fields never looked this bad even as a rookie this was hard to watch then you didn’t scout no other Quarterback
It's funny to watch nerds talk about football
I swear I don’t care what platform Courtney is on, she always takes shots at Justin Fields as if he’s a scrub or trash.
Courtney you need to slow your role at always taking a shot at Justin as if he’s not a good human being and man.
Justin was put into a bad situation just like every other damn QB we bring in and you seem to always take shots at Justin Fields and Justin only.
He’s not the only QB that we’ve had that’s been in this horrible system, but yet “AGAIN” you “ONLY” take shots at him and him only and I wonder why? 🤔
You’re on your high horse today, but doesn’t mean you will always be riding high so remember that 💯
100% idk where the Justin hate comes from with her
This is so stupid and melodramatic. F off
Well.... 😂😂
Trubisky was attacked constantly and still is.
Guess what fields is a scrub and at best mid. Tomlin couldn’t wait to sit him.
Get Jon Gruden NOW!!
It does Eberflus no good this time because, he is getting fired either way, he's gone.
Atp I don’t care how it looks on Eberflus he won’t be here next year
This whole year is bogus.
All you Chicago sports writers were wrong about CW. He's trash
Oh the jf fans are still butt hurt 😭😭
@jasonmallerdino1844 Yea Caleb fans are mad hes garbage
@@shaheeddadream2742he's still way better then JF😭😭
Drafting Caleb was the worst possible decision that they could have made.
Fields was NEVER a pocket QB. Enough lying
Caleb Williams is a bust call it what it is, should’ve traded back for the haul he won’t ever = 4 1st round draft picks 🤣
Eberflus doing meaningless word salad drivel like Jordan Peterson.😂
The so called generational quarterback is 🗑️
They should have took cliff Kingsbury as oc 100000% they took shane cause oh wow Shane wasn't available but now hc fired so he is let's get him well shit idea 🙄 could took cliff already had relationship with Calab Willams also should have fired Flus in off season
Kingsbury will be back in College in 2 years
Should’ve got Harbaugh. No discussion.
well they didn't so we have to move on...didn't happen and it's not gonna. bears brass can't handle a powerful figure like harbaugh...he would scare the crap outta them...they like less powerful guys so they can stay in control of the house.
@ well until they can handle a powerful figure at head coach they aren’t going to win anything and I will continue to point it out till the end of my days.
@@charlesmoore8185 i dont disagree with you
Kevin Warren wasn't going to allow it. He hates Harbaugh
Caleb sucks he’s not better then fields ever was we told you people sell Caleb he was terrible against good college defenses if the nfl the worst defense is better than the best college defenses he’s a bust he’s not half as better then Justin
this is all poles fault. him not addressing the line is killing his QB
TRUMP 2024🎉🎉🎉
