    The problem I had with taking Caleb was that other QB experts openly criticized the Bears coaching staff and that they were not coaching JF for success last year. I was pounding the table to fire Flus, but since they hired a new OC I thought maybe there was a little hope . That hope is gone. Waldron is not the big reason Geno Smith became a success. He seems like he’s way in over his head. Same with Flus. People even exaggerate how good there defense is. They have collapsed in the 4th quarter more than mediocre defenses. I can’t believe people bought into that it takes two years to build a new culture. Texas turned it all around in weeks last year. Washington turned it around big time this year overnight. It takes Flus 2 years to teach these guys to play hard?? What complete BS. The technique for the offense is not very good. Receivers not hustling, o line falling down blocking air, 180 lb. receiver blocking a D end?? These coaches suck and now the players are realizing it….

    Courtney is wrong. Fields has turned into a much better QB. He relied less on his legs and more on passing which is what he did in college. Fields turned the ball over less and scored a good amount of total TDs. I mean how can you genuinely say he is the same QB? He finally has a real coach. Even Caleb Williams father has questioned the coaching. The coaching has always been the issue but many of you media personalities all pinned it on Justin and thought replacing the QB was enough. Poles has failed to address the o line and its showing that it can stunt the growth of any QB no matter how talented they are. Playcalling is not good enough and the leadership from flus is not good enough. We wanted to replace a mediocre QB with a great one. Why couldn’t we do the same with a coach?

    There has never been a clearer A/B comparison opportunity than what is happening between the commanders and the bears. Almost identical situations, and the commanders are clearly superior, in almost every facet. That isn’t luck, that’s a clear distinction between effective corporate governance and lack thereof, from the top down. It’s a glaring example of what the bears could be if their owners had earned their roles aa owners instead of being born into them, as they are. This will not change as long as you have leaders who were handed their leadership role instead of earning it, full stop,

      @@UR_Right24 The Bears have a terrible loss to an inferior team on a hail mary pass. The team is not allowed to move on because the Chicago sports media needs public humiliation (they call it "accountability"). The Bears were in the playoffs, according to these hacks, two weeks ago after only 6 games. They lose two games and the media says that they need to fire the entire staff. This happens every time. This team is always affected by the media because they never have the people to tell them to f--- off. Flus is dead man walking instead of a third year coach trying to find his way. The media spins everything so negatively and the team, for some stupid reason, follows them down that path every year. It does not happen for other teams. It's an obvious negative force that is unacceptable, yet always tolerated.

  • @TheDrosul
    @TheDrosul วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    The other factor differentiating between Washington and Chicago is one team effectively revamped their offensive line, the other keeps trotting the same dumpster fire out every year (including coaching) and the moves they make nearly universally fail to improve the situation.
    Waldron hasn't looked good, and frankly his personnel usage decisions are bad enough to fire him over (why the hell is Keenan Allen our team's deep ball guy, when he's slower than most of our TEs?). THAT BEING SAID, what offense ever looks good without good offensive line play?

    • @carlosallen4616
      @carlosallen4616 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Commanders didn’t revamp their o-line. They only replaced the center and guard. The other starters ere there last year when they gave up over 60 sacks. Howell held on to the ball too long. The qb does have something to do with the o-line being affective too.

  • @jasonjanisewski78
    @jasonjanisewski78 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

    The answer is simple. Once again CHI drafted the wrong QB. You can see special immediately. It doesn't take years to see true talent. Daniels shows specialness that transcends an organization and uplifts.
    By contrast, Caleb's ceiling is the Dak/Baker tier. Those QBs are ok, but they need talent and scheme to lift them, they don't raise everyone else.

      @Ep1cRainbow Josh Allen is a perfect example to show that CHI drafted the wrong QB. Josh Allen did struggle early on, but within 2 minutes of watching him you could see elite traits. Allen displayed elite arm talent and running ability + has elite size.
      By contrast, not only has Caleb displayed 0 elite traits but actually has shown to be less than advertised. His arm strength is worse than hyped, same with his elusivity/playmaking.

    I am sure these journalists love the bears and it must be as hard on them as it is on us fans to watch them circle the drain..... I was never comfortable with Eberflus after those terrible 4th quarter collapses last year... and I simply don't think he is a critical thinker just hearing him speak publicly (in simple terms, he is simple). I was hoping that the new OC would hold up his end of the bargain but the Seattle people were happy to see him go (a subtle clue). It is pretty clear it takes a coach too. We were all seduced by the trades that have been made but there were 2 areas of critical deficiency: OL and coaching..... ouch..... My 12 y/o son and I have a heart to heart talk last night, and we have decided to flip to the Lions... they are what the Bears should be...... my days on this earth are limited, I desire a winning team to follow...! And I am not sure my 12 y/o would see a divisional title in his lifetime....

    Eberflus never ‘worries’ about the number of hits his QB takes. He figures it’s part of the Eberflus process. Exchange the word process for the word deflection. As long as there’s a rookie to blame, he thinks he’s clean. Behind that is Poles’ difficulty admitting he was wrong to keep the guy and McCaskey believing Flus is the right kind of guy. Give McCaskey what he wants to start the new Stadium if he makes R. Rivera interim and hires Ben Johnson at seasons’ end, and Flus is gone tonight. Poser Warren doesn’t figure in any of this.

      if he feels in this manner ...he's a fool. expectations were for a competetive team this year. yeah we have a rookie QB but he's supposed to have a talented supporting cast to mask that. seems like the defense quit on the team last week. first time i've seen them do that all season. they should not let their frustrations with the offense effect their play. just be awesome and keep it up. offense is not their department. but that's not how they feel apparently. there's fracture beneath the surface emotionally with the players that's for sure. but what it it? that's the question that i'd love to know. I know. It sucks! I was so excited. Hard Knocks they seemed fun and so genuine with eachother. Regular season comes and we can't beat anybody better than the Jags/Titans type of quality. Rams game was just weird and the Rams were in flux so hard to give the bears much credit for that one. Main concern is we are trending DOWN .....(((( GOD I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE (((((

    Justin Fields was a better QB, Justin changed his footwork in year 2 and 3 with Luke Getsy's offense, who by the way just got fired as an OC in Oakland, then went to Pittsburg and changed his footwork back to what it was under his first year with Nagy, that takes time, its a process

    • @Ocelotmaniac
      @Ocelotmaniac 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Footwork takes time to change. Getsy tried changing him so much to the point that the guy just lost all his confidence. Fields took too many hits to build good habits. Caleb Williams is going to experience the exact same thing. From what I’ve seen so far, he is not generational. His deep ball is actually awful. Instead of building the o line, we got him weapons. Without an o line, how can you expect a guy to do great?

    • @jontelmurphy5996
      @jontelmurphy5996 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Ocelotmaniac , I agree, im not even judging Caleb on the line, when he does get time and the line holds up his throws downfield are going out of bounds there not even in the field of play. He also compounds the problem when he takes sacks because he's not athletic like Justin, Ive counted at least 4 times the Bears were in field goal range in the last couple of games and he took sacks trying to run around on 3rd down and make a play that put them out of field goal range
