I think if you fire ryan poles and replace him with another guy. You're just going to go in circles and never do anything. At least poles can scout. What other bears GM has ever scouted in the draft? You want another ryan pace? Phil emery? Or jerry Angelo? Those guys were way worse. Poles stick around and keep hitting on picks for another 5 years. That could be a Superbowl run.
This is the thing that irritates me. I'm not ready to call him a bust at all. But if he's really a generational talent, his impact should have been felt instantly. There should have been a clear difference in year one Caleb Williams over Year 3 Justin Fields, win or lose. Generational can not be looked at in the same way we grade normal rookies. Obviously I'm not saying he should be Brady right now, but can we at least not have the same problems they wanted to get rid of Fields for? i.e. holding on to the ball too long, being madly inconsistent, not scoring TD's in games, etc. Especially when his personel is supposed to be better than what Fields had.

It’s primarily because of the expectations around the bears. That’s kinda how it goes. Cardinals had very little expectations in the public eye this year. You had people saying Bears would make the Super Bowl. Lol
Orlovsky is wasted on ESPN, these guys are idiots and I am Packers fan saying that. Bears suck but acting like Williams is already doomed is oxygen deprived
I agree the Bears looked awful last Sunday. In fact, they haven't looked good since the bye-week they took off. But can we blame it all on the coaches? Sure, the game plan was predictable, but the offensive line was a no show, and for the first time this season the Bears defense looked awful! It seems the team had no spark and no fight in them without Montez Sweat and Jacquan Brisker. This year was supposed to be the development of Caleb Williams and I think they are failing at that. Who are you going to blame? Matt Eberflus or Shane Waldron? Ryan Poles makes it a priority to draft players who have a passion for the game. Sadly, that was missing Sunday! Where do we go from here? In my humble opinion the rebuild isn't finished yet. They still need a better pass rush and the offensive line needs to be rebuilt. The offensive line is an important part of any good offense. Just look at the poor performance of Aaron Rodgers in New York with their weak offensive line. Hopefully the Bears are just a year away from the desired result we all want to see. I hate to see them start over again without having the right coaches and the talent that can take them well into the playoffs and win a Super Bowl.
To talk about that game and not address the obviously biased officiating in the first half is crazy. The Bears fell apart in the second half after they were put in a 21-6 hole by officials that refused to call PI penalties and holding calls on the Cards while calling illegal formation on a lineman that was in the correct spot and an illegal leverage penalty for a guy that leaned over. Total BS. A team tends to play flat when the officials are cheating. That was BS!
7:24 Last year, Dan Orlovsky claimed Justin Fields would have a breakout MVP-level season like Jalen Hurts - and we all saw how that went. Safe to say he's the least credible voice on anything NFL-related.
Jordan Love has a career .500 record and currently leads the league in int’s…with a world class franchise, roster, and coaches No qb wants to be in Caleb’s shoes right now
That's why you can't listen to these analysis about anything. All i heard is that celeb would be the next Mahomes and take the bears to the playoffs. He would break so many rookie records and more. They even glout over his supporting cast and nothing negative about coach, oline, or defense. The sky was the limit for him and now all these excuses. Jayden didn't get those same glassey takes and look at him now, no excuses. This dude walk in the best situation that a first round overall pick could have get, it was a big thing since the draft. Stop hyping up these rookies and lot them play. He sucks but hopefully he'll get better.
I'd like to make a list of statements: 1) The Bears have a Rookie QB (no sane person expects post-season with a Rookie QB) 2) The Bears haven't had a steady team in more than 2 presidential elections, don't expect a 1 season turn around. 3) The Bears spent on offensive options, not on further bolstering the defense .... so what was anyone expecting? I expected them to blow a few games on bad defense, penalties, and rookie mistakes.
here here. Also, of you can't block you can't win. If your all world receivers can't get open, you cant' win. Stars on D are hurt and the interior D line is lacking.
No sane person expects playoffs with a rookie? Hayden daniels. Ben rothilisberger, Russell wilson, Matt Ryan, Mark Sanchez, dak Prescott, kyle freakin orton, i can keep going dude. All these teams are expexting tow win superbowls in the rookie contract window now lol. I spent all offseason listening to that restart the clock nonsense.
They lost the team when they traded Fields, not the Hail Mary. Williams wasn't the answer. They complained about Fields accuracy, but Williams has completed less than 60%., and its only going to get worse in November - January when the temps and wind conditions get worse. Best way to prevent these mistakes is to do what the Bears did when they had success...RUN THE BALL
Mike McCarthy is not a good coach..never has been really. His SB ring is because of Rodgers, not because he was a great coach. Rodgers carried McCarthy’s ineptitude.
Rodgers was accompanied by some other good players who played well and won a SB. They tried to win another but never made it. Shovel the blame on everyone but Aaron.
@ they were a really good team the year they won it, but that had nothing to do with McCarthy. Aaron called over 80% of the offensive plays himself that season, and yeah he definitely had talent around him and on DEF 👍
They didn’t see the stat where 15 different Cardinals players had pressures. In total, the cardinals had pressure on 45% of pass plays. The OLine coach needs to be canned yesterday
Watch 30 minutes of any Bears game and you’ll see drive killing penalties by the OL, missed assignments, and Caleb running for his life. He was sacked 6 times yesterday and pressured on nearly 50% of his snaps. Poles, a former OL himself, put this OL on the roster and was like - this is fine. Madness!
Change the coaching staff. Bring in lineman and an experienced tackle. Teach CW to read blitzes and how to identify potential hot routes Learn how to move the pocket.
Expectations are too high for rookies. I dont care how CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels look. They are rare occurrences. Rookie qbs need multiple years in a system to develop properly in my opinion. After this year, Caleb will have a whole a season of film to study his game and next season is when i expect significant progress. Not in his first year
I get that Caleb looks better than Fields, but IMO not much better. If the Bears traded the #1 pick away, I would guess 6 or more high picks for Caleb William, given all the hype. Caleb > Fields Caleb < Fields + 3 1sts and 3 2nds Also, dont understand why we didnt pick up Kingsberry. I thought he was supposed to be close to Williams. At this point, its really really hard to keep being a Bears fan.
It's funny that a year ago if any Bears fan dared to hint that Williams has some of the same issues as Fields (hold the ball too long, not always as accurate as he should be, etc) they would get blasted with "You never watched Caleb play" or "You don't know football".
Everybody is yammering about how the Bears players quit on their coach. That may well be true, but, I gotta say, this bunch isn't good enough to quit on anybody. The next coach might say "I've got a bunch of quitters here, I'm cleaning house." What goes around comes around.
Rex's veneers matching his hair. Also Rex....want a head coaching position? Chicago needs it. Otherwise reach out to your brother bob, will ya? These Bears are killin' me!
The Bears have only hired 2 coaches with previous head coaching experience within the team’s existence. George Halas and John Fox. Also, for these talking heads talking about Caleb needing to be better - Did you not watch how the OL protected him? THEY DIDN’T! The OL is abysmal and Caleb can only do so much with the protection that he has.
Man all this is on Caleb..he’s just not it..should of kept JF1 like DJ Moore wanted..it should be no way he’s not doin good with all the weapons he have and he’s soft..I’ll bench him put Tyson in
Yes we all knew they would only win about 7 games this year…. Why make it a big deal. They need more experience in time it will happen. How about you guys, are you guys deal coming up??? Or is it time for replacement on your part?? Tom Brady time replace someone
As a Chicagoan, I said as the draft approached that Jayden would be the better draft pick(especially giving the Offense awaiting)..as he’s more tested compared to Caleb, he had the better arm, clean scrambler, was about the football game n not the outside noise…now, it’s manifested. It’s Justin fields all over. At this point I’d take Bryce Young or Anthony Richardson over him
I’m not worried about Caleb Williams. He’s a rookie, and rookies usually make mistakes and take time to adjust to the NFL. Daniels and Stroud are anomalies. The bears coaching staff needs to be fired at the end of the season and they need to bring Belichick in
Caleb is playing like a rookie which is FINE. The glaring issues for the bears is coaching and their o-line. But please, can we stop comparing JD and Caleb? JD is an anomaly and has been looking like a 10 year vet. To say Caleb is only struggling due to the offensive line and coaching is such a lazy take. He has issues reading competent defenses and accuracy issues, he’ll get better with experience.
As a Bears fan, our organization is so incompetent it’s hard to even know anymore if it’s coaching, QB, or both. Wouldn’t be surprised if we trade Caleb after his rookie deal for a 2nd round pick or whatever and he becomes a pro bowler somewhere else. McCaskey’s fckin suck they need to sell the team
Ryan Poles killed any chance the team had by extending Eberflus. In doing so, he allowed Kliff Kingsbury to walk out the door. Had he instead hired him & packed Matt Eberflus' bags the team would be in a different position. Would their record be better? Maybe. But their OC would likely be helping their young QB instead of whatever Shane Waldron is doing. Remember, the Bears settled for Shane Waldron because they hired Eberflus. OC's werent banging down the Bears door to work with a lame duck coach. There's no job stability in that & GOOD OC's know that when they hit the job market.
Yall just sleep on Arizona, the bears aren’t a bad team on paper, the Cardinals are just well coached from top to bottom. They’re not contenders yet but they have the right pieces to build on.
Someone told me they’re year 2 Dan Campbell lions team(they’re in year 3) and I just can’t help but make that same comparison; although I view the cardinals as last years Texans.

Washington exposed Chicago for who they were. All the Chicago fans really cursed themselves trying to compare Williams to Daniels.
They were awful loud before that game especially when it came to Jayden only to watch him take their soul. Team and fanbase is cooked now lol. They should’ve put more respect on Jayden’s name.
JD5 is king
Bears need to offer Ben Johnson the world.
FIRE THE COACH AND G.M. WE GOT RID OF J. FIELDS, BUT KEPT THE SORRY COACH AND G.M. 💩🤦🏻♂️👎🏻👎🏻
The GM is doing a decent job. But he should’ve fired Matt E. Last season and hired harbaugh. So that’s on him.
Justin fields was the answer roster construction and coaches were the problem
Lot of people are gonna lose their job sticking with Caleb. Hes a future coach killer already in the making. Hes no where near "generational" and hes struggling to even be "average".
@@RoseCurry5 100%. We were oversold on the kid from the idiotic Chicago Media to the national level. Only generational talent from this draft is in DC. He went into a worse situation in particular for the last 20 years and turned the culture around in 8 games with worse weapons, a HC that no one wanted and an OC that the Bears didn’t want.
Peyton Manning played terrible as a rookie can’t judge it off half a season he has shown flashes with terrible coaching/play calling and a bad Oline
@@ReeseAnton21nobody wanted Dan Quinn? What are you talking about lol he hasn’t changed their culture getting rid of that toxic owner changed their culture Jayden Daniels is playing very good he’s not changing a culture yet though
@ so are you saying that basically the same talent from last year. You change the HC, OC, and more importantly the QB didn’t change the winning? Are you watching football or listening to podcast that watch football? Open you eyes man.
Unprepared for football, prepared for podcasts
That’s today’s athletes 💯👏🏿
Bears are in the most competitive division in the league. They are learning this year.
And haven't played any of them yet, its going to get worse going forward this season
Lol they haven't played a single division game yet you dope
They haven’t played a single division game yet lol they’re 4-4 after the cupcake stretch of their schedule. Patriots should be a free win next week but after that they’re lucky to win 2 more games

@@myrongaines6022If they lose to the Patriots and their Rookie QB... Oh boy, we're going to hear about it 😂
Bears should have kept J. Fields. You can't tell me Calebs better
Rookie quarterback in his 8th game vs 5th year QB that’s now benched. 😂 okay bro.
The numbers say he's better. The fact he's a rookie says he's better. Give rookie QBs protection and a run game, not WRs. Every play they show in this segment is Caleb running for his life. You can't give Fields a 2nd contract. You had to move on.
Justin got benched for a declining Wilson when he was winning games cuz the steelers coaches said 'nah, he aint it' 😂
@@RedHoodFHyall be yapping smh he only got benched because RW was healthy again, JF was winning, I’m sorry kiddo but Gayleb isn’t it cuz 😂
@@TheRealEarno bruh, dak kept his starting job when Romo got healthy. When you're winning and the coaches trust you, you keep your job. Steelers coaches saw enough from Bustin 🤣
6:45 Completely agree with Greeny, you don’t just get rid of Fields, Eberflus shoulda left as well….he already was a questionable coach but don’t start over with a New QB with a questionable guy at head coach.
Bears are who we thought they were
Same old song and dance
Why not draft the guy Caleb was familiar with???
can we talk about how good the cardinals are instead of making excuses for how bad the bears are ? why does the media refuse to accept the cardinals are legit..
Ay brooo lol, I’m a commanders fan and i noticed that too 🤦🏽♂️ they’re weird and don’t want to except how wrong they were abt this generational talent 😂 it’s actually sad but keep balling out cardinals
Are they? I watched their game against Green Bay and they looked absolutely out of their depth. And green bay hasn't looked great on multiple occasions
They're 5-4...They're just ok....and still beat the bears by 20
It’s primarily because of the expectations around the bears. That’s kinda how it goes. Cardinals had very little expectations in the public eye this year.
You had people saying Bears would make the Super Bowl. Lol
Felt that the Cards would be a lot better than people think this season.
I dont appreciate youtube not letting us read the full title anymore
I thought it was just me😂
Orlovsky is wasted on ESPN, these guys are idiots and I am Packers fan saying that. Bears suck but acting like Williams is already doomed is oxygen deprived
So many people in the comments have such low football knowledge. Jesus Christ.
@@joshuahodge8804 well you know what they say Those that can do,and those that can't teach😁
Poles messed up by not firing Eburflus and getting a decent lineman
Dan's face after seeing that injury is priceless like "oh man maybe this coach shouldnt have done that" face
One Hail Mary ended the season for the Bears? I didn't know Washington Football had this kind of power. 😂
“He’s generational” thank you Bears. We appreciate you
the bears are the bears
Goff and Detroit was also 3-13-1 in Dan Campbell's first year.
FIRST year. First year coach is one thing. This is another. 🐻 ⬇️
This isn't the bears coach first year tho
To be honest i knew the bears were going to loose Caleb is not that good at this moment he has only played well against bad teams.
The zesty 💅 QB cants throw accurate passes.
Chicago Bears can't develop a QB thanks for proving my point people blaming Calab but not point out his development there 😂😂😂😂😂
Jordan Love has a career .500 record and currently leads the league in int’s…with a world class franchise, roster, and coaches
No qb wants to be in Caleb’s shoes right now
That's why you can't listen to these analysis about anything.
Bears will never learn that bringing in a bunch of weapons won’t fix the offensive line lol
That guy sitting up there needs to be my cowboys next coach
Surprised they didn’t say anything about DJ Moore completely walking off the field mid play 😂😂😂
I'd like to make a list of statements:
1) The Bears have a Rookie QB (no sane person expects post-season with a Rookie QB)
2) The Bears haven't had a steady team in more than 2 presidential elections, don't expect a 1 season turn around.
3) The Bears spent on offensive options, not on further bolstering the defense
.... so what was anyone expecting? I expected them to blow a few games on bad defense, penalties, and rookie mistakes.
The bears have a playoff roster
I guess all the media isn't sane then because they were saying playoffs. Highly touted roster.
So the commanders insane 😂😂
Can't blame JF
Karma is telling Montez Sweat, 'Keep the Commander's name out ya mouth' 😂
Caleb had Bears fans gassed during preseason 😂
Ain't no way Dan said he ain't panicking over the Bears while ONLY watching the first half
Teach CW to read blitzes and how to identify potential hot routes
Learn how to move the pocket.
Rich Eisen had the Bears in his top 10 2 weeks ago which was absurd because all their wins are against 1 win teams.
Generational ?
Did you watch the game”I watched the first half “ yet gives analysis of the game.. sounds about right
I said the same thing😂😂 he just exposed his fellow sports analyst and didn't realize it
Good team bad coaches
Expectations are too high for rookies. I dont care how CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels look. They are rare occurrences. Rookie qbs need multiple years in a system to develop properly in my opinion. After this year, Caleb will have a whole a season of film to study his game and next season is when i expect significant progress. Not in his first year
The problem is Jayden could have been a bear
@@Secretarynotsure89but he’s with the commanders let’s goooo. Sorry for your loss 😅
Caleb could end up with a new head coach in Year 2 and forced to learn a new offense. That could stunt his development.
I get that Caleb looks better than Fields, but IMO not much better. If the Bears traded the #1 pick away, I would guess 6 or more high picks for Caleb William, given all the hype.
Caleb > Fields
Caleb < Fields + 3 1sts and 3 2nds
Also, dont understand why we didnt pick up Kingsberry.
He has no oline that’s why fields could make play. Hes a running qb
Imagine The Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys. DANG !!!!!!!!!!
The season is over. Too many question marks, too much quitting. The leadership is awful. No relief in sight.
Blaming the defensive HC for the offensive struggles is very Jets-like 😂
Everybody is yammering about how the Bears players quit on their coach.
Man all this is on Caleb..he’s just not it..should of kept JF1 like DJ Moore wanted..it should be no way he’s not doin good with all the weapons he have and he’s soft..I’ll bench him put Tyson in
Tbh that loss wasn’t really on Caleb Williams, the Cardinals outplayed the Bears and they were dropping everything thrown at them
Yes we all knew they would only win about 7 games this year…. Why make it a big deal. They need more experience in time it will happen. How about you guys, are you guys deal coming up??? Or is it time for replacement on your part?? Tom Brady time replace someone
They won 7 games last year with worse skill positions and defense. The princess is a step down.
They already won 7 last year!! They draft #1 generational talent at QB and can't even win an extra game??? Bears stink!
At this point I’d take Bryce Young or Anthony Richardson over him
You don’t know ball at all dude. He has one of the worst o lines in the league and the coaching staff needs to be fired.
Eberflus couldn’t hire Cliff Kingsbury because that would bring his replacement right into the building. Flus had to protect his job.
I feel like when they announce Eberflus at the games they should play the song by The Fray, Over My Head as his theme.
I’m not worried about Caleb Williams. He’s a rookie, and rookies usually make mistakes and take time to adjust to the NFL. Daniels and Stroud are anomalies. The bears coaching staff needs to be fired at the end of the season and they need to bring Belichick in
Hey Ryan poles,Bring lovie back!!
No O line…no coaching…anyone would be doomed! Don’t tell me things would be better off with Daniels!!
JD5 was the qb to take this past draft. Bears fumbled the bag horribly.
Season lost on a hail mary is ridiculous
Why doesn't these front office guys that are making horrible decisions ever get fired
Coaching Change Needed to Save Caleb Williams!
That should of happened before drafting Caleb sir🤷🏿
Caleb is playing like a rookie which is FINE. The glaring issues for the bears is coaching and their o-line. But please, can we stop comparing JD and Caleb? JD is an anomaly and has been looking like a 10 year vet. To say Caleb is only struggling due to the offensive line and coaching is such a lazy take. He has issues reading competent defenses and accuracy issues, he’ll get better with experience.
Rex’s chompers are out of control 😂😂
ESPN wants all coaches who aren't in the 1st year fired
Bears are done, and failed cw this season. Coaches are garbage. N poles did nothing to help the oline.
FIRE MATT EBERFLUS. We needed to fire him this offseason!
I thought Dan dropped the F bomb at first 😂
Ryan Poles killed any chance the team had by extending Eberflus.
