    retaining an obvious lame duck defensive HC when you draft a new franchise QB 1st overall is a total clown move..... they even had Kliff Kingsbury in the building interviewing to be Caleb's OC and they let him walk out the door to Washington and Jayden Daniels so they could hire...... Shane Waldron?????
    absolutely wasting a year of Caleb's development

      Texans fan here, we thank Lovie Smith almost daily for winning our last game and pushing us out of the number 1 spot.
      And it's true, what these #2 qb's have accomplished in such a brief timespan is an anomaly. Expecting the same results out of rookie QB's is ridiculous and could cause harm to a rookie. That doesn't mean Caleb won't be better than both our quarterbacks eventually, but expecting it straight out of the gate can do more harm than good to a young developing qb.

    Eberflus is 2-10 in division and 3-18 on the road, he's a terrible head coach. He has lost the locker room by blaming players for the hail Mary, when it was heis and Waldrons fault. They quit on him vs the Cardinals. The Bears season has imploded.
    But the rot goes higher than this. Ryan Poles had Kliff Kingsbury for OC, and picked Waldron. He had the choice of Jim Harbaugh or Ben Johnson (who wanted to go to Chicago) and he chose Eberflus. He also picked a WR 9th overall instead of trying to fix their atrocious offensive line.

    • @danielcompton7597
      @danielcompton7597 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      He is missing throws but also his line sucks and the play calls are awful, so often they are 2nd and 3rd and long because of the inability to move forward and a lot of times they have receivers running routes that take 5 seconds to develop. He doesn’t have the time for them to get open so he’s getting sped up and his feet are getting bad bec he’s running for his life a quarter of the time. They can’t even protect him against a bottom 5 pass rush. He’s on pace for the 6th most sacks in history, there is no consistency around him. And he has a “stud” receiver who can’t catch the ball that they traded draft capital for

    • @michaelkearney1313
      @michaelkearney1313 8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@danielcompton7597 I agree the play calling is not great, but a lot of the reason he’s getting sacked now is because he can’t throw players open yet and anticipate routes so he holds the ball until he actually sees his players get space vs anticipating the separation. I think he has potential, but it’s annoying to watch because I can almost guarantee if Jayden had this team, they’d be undefeated because their skill positions are great and the defense is good.

    I agree the Bears looked awful last Sunday. In fact, they haven't looked good since the bye-week they took off. But can we blame it all on the coaches? Sure, the game plan was predictable, but the offensive line was a no show, and for the first time this season the Bears defense looked awful! It seems the team had no spark and no fight in them without Montez Sweat and Jacquan Brisker. This year was supposed to be the development of Caleb Williams and I think they are failing at that. Who are you going to blame? Matt Eberflus or Shane Waldron?
    Ryan Poles makes it a priority to draft players who have a passion for the game. Sadly, that was missing Sunday!
    Where do we go from here? In my humble opinion the rebuild isn't finished yet. They still need a better pass rush and the offensive line needs to be rebuilt. The offensive line is an important part of any good offense. Just look at the poor performance of Aaron Rodgers in New York with their weak offensive line.
    Hopefully the Bears are just a year away from the desired result we all want to see. I hate to see them start over again without having the right coaches and the talent that can take them well into the playoffs and win a Super Bowl.

    To talk about that game and not address the obviously biased officiating in the first half is crazy. The Bears fell apart in the second half after they were put in a 21-6 hole by officials that refused to call PI penalties and holding calls on the Cards while calling illegal formation on a lineman that was in the correct spot and an illegal leverage penalty for a guy that leaned over. Total BS. A team tends to play flat when the officials are cheating. That was BS!

Had he instead hired him & packed Matt Eberflus' bags the team would be in a different position. Would their record be better? Maybe. But their OC would likely be helping their young QB instead of whatever Shane Waldron is doing.
    Remember, the Bears settled for Shane Waldron because they hired Eberflus. OC's werent banging down the Bears door to work with a lame duck coach. There's no job stability in that & GOOD OC's know that when they hit the job market.
