    In examining a large number of cases in which people were convicted of crimes and later exonerated by DNA or other solid evidence, it turns out that in nearly every case the person wrongfully convicted cooperated with or spoke with police at the time of the original investigation. What that should tell every single innocent person is to NEVER, EVER speak with or answer questions of police unless advised to do so by an attorney representing his/her interests. Period.

    I’m located here on the East Coast and don’t know the
    logistics and locations of these inland checkpoints so don’t know if my
    suggestion is practical, but protesting these unlawful stops one car at a time
    is counterproductive. What is needed is to organize a large group like 25 vehicles
    in a row where everyone refuses to answer any questions and they all get pulled over for
    a secondary stop. This would jam up the check point and bring attention to
    these fourth Amendment violations.

    • @Jimfundercover2
      @Jimfundercover2 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Billy Lowe And just how is that going to do anything? The agents don't get paid by the car count and will be out there regardless. Instead of 25 cars lined up to protect your 4th amendment why don't you 25 drives take the Border Patrol to court saying these checkpoints are unconstitutional? FYI: the Supreme Court has ruled that inland border checkpoints are constitutional.

      It is still legal to drive within my country without interference from my government and i still have 4th and 5th amendment rights. BP has no right to compel me to answer questions or detain me without reasonable cause

    DHS said the fifth amendment does not apply to them and detained us for over five hours before setting us free, while intimidating us with guns and dogs. Why do we US citizens have to go through this traveling down the road? Further they need more lessons in communication in English language, as they kept screaming and threatening us... our family is very happy to make it out of there without injuries..

    • @lennox5150
      @lennox5150 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What was effected was the officers lazy afternoon of slacking and harassing. All off a sudden they took things from 1 - 10. Meaning you effectively got them so upset that they crossed the line and you didn't say anything. It didn't fix or improve anything but definitely seemed effective for the moment. Does that explain it better?

    This video is useless, it's just a guy not rolling down his window and taking photographs; taking photos is not intimidating. I understand invoking the right to remain silent, but this video makes him look like a crazy person who after a psych evaluation would be proven mentally incompetent to operate a motor vehicle and have his license revoked.

    • @TimTVOfficial
      @TimTVOfficial 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      UrbanCrunkMovement Apparently I know more than you... I believe in freedom of movement, but it's not what you think, unless you have proof to back it up. The freedom of movement is not in the constitution, with the exception of the section that says that a person has a right to choose his or her residence; it's in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Section 13. My comment was about this being 13 minutes of nothing but a crazy guy taking pictures while thinking it's intimidating, not a comment about lacking freedom of rights.

    • @TimTVOfficial
      @TimTVOfficial 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Trudell Just roll your window down 3 inches and be a smartass instead, that's what I do, except if it's a DUI Checkpoint I usually hold a sign to the window with "I remain silent, no searches, I want my lawyer" and a few penal codes to back it up. Having cameras everywhere and taking photos does not intimidate them, it's just makes you look ill. I arrested a cop in Newport Beach, CA who detained me for refusing to take a sobriety check (my blood test came out at 0.00%) while pleading my case in court; it's our right to place law enforcement under citizens arrest if they threaten for the purpose of intimidation while acting under color of law (which happened to me), and have a peace officer come to take him into custody without unnecessary delays.

    • @yuma310
      @yuma310  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I left the window sealed as part of not consenting to a sniff search and remained silent so I wouldn't reveal my accent.
      Doing as you suggest is the worst case scenario as the tightly cracked orifice amplifies and enhances odors.
      Its better to roll all the windows down all the way if any at all.

      Here's a video of the incident that follows it over 22 days: DHS Inland Checkpoint Search and Seizure - Campo Border Patrol Station, Pine Valley, CA, 31 May 2013
      They broke into the car, held me handcuffed for 6 hours and detained for 10. They seized everything I owned and set me on foot at 10:30 that evening in El Cajon, California.

      They called the cops who told them it's out of their jurisdiction, so the Agents lied and claimed I refused to go to Secondary and used that as justification to break in the vehicle and seize everything indefinitely.
      Next they had a cop call the Terrorism Liaison Office where they arranged a fake Whistleblowing Agent and CheckpointUSA's Terry Bressi direct me to an ACLU lawyer for further investigation.

I don't think a normal person has time to sit there especially the journey/trip from A-B is already time consuming. You never on a rush to your destination? I guess in the west coast people are lay back... In the east coast people are running.. In NYC people can't stop and sit for that long. You will gain weight if you sit around too much.
