If there was a way around it I wouldn't put an extended shaft on it but I have to have the gear box centered on the chassis to accommodate the pulley/sprocket and since its in the center of the chassis if I put the sprocket that runs the chain to the rear on the gear box then the chain will ride between my legs! So you have to build a jackshaft to move it to the side. Thanks for watching!

looks great wouldn't it be better to not extend that shaft off gear box less rotating mass an less chance of things to go wrong
