Sshhhhh, when Kanami The Riff Goddess, and MISA, the barefoot assassin on bass are speaking, we listen and never stop until they are done ripping your face off.

Cool reaction. 1 piece of constructive criticism... when you pause, go back 5 -10 seconds when restarting. It is very jarring for us viewers. Plus going back ensures that you are not missing anything. Timing with comments. When you re-did "the drop"... that's what I mean. Going back to re-start. Love the "11".
As a 1st gen Japanese American, our household seamlessly blends both English and Japanese into our daily convo. I think most multi-lingual folks do this. However, the magic with Miku (2nd V, Rhythm G, main lyricist, Head Pigeon) is that she has to deal with syllable differences when pronouncing English with Japanese mindset, i.e. "Pan" in English is 1 syllable but 2 in Japanese (Pa-n), then mixing that with musical bars, Po! It's also evident in their latest all English song "Bestie." You can hear some words pronounced a bit differently than an English speaker would, but it could be how vocalist shape vowels and consonants (in a classical vocal training sense). All n all, that Little Pigeon has a lot of energy, Po! 🕊🦍🍌 Btw, was at this show (from LA), and the tix was around $80 US, 4-star hotel around $75 per night, food is cheap (7-11 is a must for all things food and drinks). Flight from LA was around $1K. Highly recommend, Po!
Welcome to the "pigeon-hole" of Band-Maid! They just celebrated ten years together, and all original members. You can't go wrong with any of their videos, especially live ones! But they MVs are also superb! I think Freedom - Live would be a good next step: th-cam.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/w-d-xo.html But if you want some MVs, I recommend Dice (for the bass) th-cam.com/video/ZpAYnVJX9CY/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUOYmFuZC1tYWlkIGRpY2U%3D And From Now On (it's an instrumental but you really see how technically good they are!) th-cam.com/video/a6ZSvmnkS00/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUVYmFuZC1tYWlkIGZyb20gbm93IG9u
Bass - MISA the Barefoot assassin Lead Guitar - Kanami the Princess or Mincho Rhythm Guitar & Vocals - Miku the Pigeon Drums - Akane the Gorilla Vocals - Saiki the Ice Queen
Great reaction. Band Maid is one of my favorite bands, just have to warn you, there is rabbit hole of Japanese all-female/female fronted metal/hard rock/punk bands and if you trip into this hole there is no escape. Just start with Hanabie, Nemophila and Lovebites. After those, continue with Aldious, Bridear, East of Eden,Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, Dog-Mag, Show-ya, Hades, Unlucky Morpheus, Paradoxx, Sirius, Rie a.k.a Suzaku, Cross Vein... the list is endless
This call-and response- has MISA giving the 'call' on her bass and Kanami 'responding' on her guitar. They do it the other way round on the live version of the song DON'T YOU TELL ME from this same concert. Both times, however, due to the blinding display on show, Akane the drummer's subtle and precise work often gets lost in the light. 🤘🤘PS Don't take this the wrong way, just some advice: The volume on the MV is very, very low - it was barely possible to hear the call and response section - and needs turning up from 3 to 11! Also, as you paused a LOT and spoke over the music a LOT and never rewound at all, together with the quiet volume it made it hard to watch. I was glad to hear you were going to play it again to enjoy it in full but hopefully you haven't taken my comments as anything but advice and will make more Band-Maid reactions that we can all enjoy fully.
@@ThisGuyReacts85 Tell me about it! I have lots of stuff I made on my YT channel, especially Band-Maid rarities, and getting things right can be hard sometimes. I always post my videos as Private and then watch them on YT like a viewer would before I post it publicly, just so I know what they're hearing and seeing. Band-Maid fans - and a few others too - will never mind you rewinding a great or impressive section!
part of the YT thing is we cant just show the whole video without some unique bits as a reaction channel. every video is already copywrited as is. ill see what i can do :)
Sounds levels get fixed in later reactions :) Enjoy!

Nice shout out to the supporting drums during the "converstaion" between MISA (Bass) and Kanami (Guitar)!
Indeed!
The lyrics on this song cracks me up. The Maids were pissed and someone.

I paid $25 for both my tickets to their shows in DC in 2022 and Atlanta in 2023, and onky had to share them with about 400-500 people.
the venues do look like mid size, really able to enjoy a show like that
The Maids are the best band on the planet.

thanks for the insights. ill def look into a live show myself
My favorite “drop” is in their song Don’t You Tell Me. It’s after the guitar solo. Listen for it. 😃
ill be looking for it :)
*BAND MAID!*
killed it on this one
Miku decides what language to use just depending on which sounds best, like you guessed.
having 2 languages to pick from is either easier or harder, still rocks regardless!!
I believe Misa's bass is a Black Cloud Private Reserve, and she has had one or more custom made.
i would love to have a custom made bass :)
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
=) =)

def trying to react and edit and produce a good video is more than it looks, still working on the kinks
