manny williams yea they are great companion animals but you have to remember that they are truly working dogs so they need plenty of exercise and you're going to have to train your kids not to get the dog too worked up because getting a game dog worked up can be dangerous.. its not an aggression thing it's more that they can hurt someone inadvertently because they are so strong.. if you're looking for a house pet I would suggest getting a well-bred bully or American Staffordshire or a Staffordshire Terrier or something like that.. the game dog that doesn't have anything to do but can become destructive and it literally can destroy your whole house if not entertained buy some kind of means.. you will never be able to take the dog to the dog park because a game dog cannot be trusted no matter how much you think you know your dog around other animals especially dogs of the same gender! If you have any other animals 4 months would be too old to try to have them live together without your Pitbull killing it. Make sure your game dog was bred by a reputable breeder or someone that is experienced with these type of dogs. Having a game bred pitbull terrier that is not bread well is like keeping a loaded gun around a whole bunch of monkey's one of the Monkees isn't going to make it and it's probably not going to be in pretty.. are you planning on keeping the dog inside or outside because that makes a difference if you keep the dog outside by a chain a nice thick chain and secure the dog extremely well,, a loose game bred pitbull is going to kill something most likely some kind of cat or raccoon or something but it is going to kill something.. if you can deal with all that and none of those things I just said scare you you're the perfect pitbull owner..
Marcus Jordan I own many dogs backyard pitbulls and Rottis and bullies. I been around many he dogs in my life and always wanted to purchase one. The dog will be inside is that wrong? What do u do for your dog to work it? Do ur dog stay inside? Is long walks good to tired them out and spring poles?
