- We met Fan Bingbing who plays Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past who shared some insights on Blink, how she had a hand in the design of the character as well as being the first ever Asian face in the X-Men movie franchise.
Why does everyone have such a problem with her not being fluent in English? It's rude & at least she's trying her best anyway, it's hard to learn a new language so at least give her some credit.

As a fluent English speaker who is taking Mandarin, I totally agree. It is a difficult transition and both are hard to learn. I love her accent though. So adorable 😍

@@pinchuap well you can actually say that, but honestly there's no proof in that. You saw her speaking English right? I have met multiple Chinese people online and in real life who can speak English fluently. So that means Chinese people won't have any difficulty in speaking English. There are many people out there who know how to speak English properly but still they want to speak their mother tongue to honour their society.

Her english has improved so much since this interview and now she can speak better english that most english speaking people can. I can't imagine going to China and speaking Chinese or any other country and language for that matter, she deserves a ton of credit for her progress.
Wow. Every moment I see her, she gets more and more gorgeous. And I never knew she was Blink! I thought Blink was played by another attractive actress! And now I'm taken back by her! She's really great. I fell in love with her performance in the The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom. Beautiful.

I would say the first Asian character i saw in the franchise was Kelly Hu. Regardless, Im happy to see more Asians in the franchise.
Kelly Hu is an American Actress, she just have asian descent not Asian nationality
Kelly Hu wasn't an Xmen tho.. generally the xmen are the people on Profes X's side.. she was a bad guy in that movie. Blink was the first Asian xmen
My mom watched her shows and movies and I watched her and since we're Chinese we watch stuff and then I realized she was on Xmen and I was so surprised...she's so talented ♥️
Uh.... Kelly Hu as Deathstryke was the first Asian face in the franchise...
They mentioned asian face... and to me Kelly Hu, regardless of where she grew up, does have Chinese blood and an asian profile portraying a Japanese character. I'm not really being that nitpicky about it, its just kind of strange they highlight it that way. Other than that, the Wolverine film had many female asian actors involved.

I think she meant that Blink was the first X-MAN to be Asian in the movies, and that's true. Lady Deathstrike wasn't an X-Man, nor was anyone but Wolverine in the new Wolverine movie.

I think she means that she's not referring to herself as being the first oriental x-men, but the first actress/actor that came from Asia to Hollywood to be in the X-men.

His Daniel Henney, his half korean half American. Born and raised in America. He's stared in many asian films but spoke english in all of them. I think that's why Fan bingbing didn't mention him

Dark information: Many Asian women have a documented porn film or films in their Other C.V. Please don't refute that orthodox idiots, it's true. The Hong Kong film industry is known for it's nihilistic treatment of females. I had a conversation with an aspiring actress some time ago and that's what she stated. (I don't recall if the discussion with her took place in Australia or HK. The location eludes me now, but it was a number of years ago around 2008? I don't remember) I felt sorry for her, she was a good woman whom was passionate of dramatic arts.
But Fan Bingbing isn't from Hong Kong, she's a top actress. If she had filmed an AV before, she definitely wouldn't have made it so high up into the industry, she most definitely would have been dragged down before she got here.
She held her nose to pronounce English better.

She was born in China and she has no prior english education, to conduct an interview in English proved to be very difficult for her, yet she tried. Secondly, instead of asking her to learn English (which i believe she is currently), why not ask others to learn Mandarin? According to GOOGLE, Chinese is the world most spoken language, even above English. Thirdly and my last humble opinion, she was invited to star in that movie, we all know that her main attractions is in China and SEAs mainly. She doesn't do it to please anyone :D
its different if she come here but she was invited. thats why she dont need to learn english. she is not staying here. english speakers learn mandarin because they intend to stay in china and exploit the chinese market. thats why tons of americans speak mandarin making it the most popular language.
Lee Luda that statement kinda irritated me. I’m an American who is currently learning mandarin because the language fascinates me. I don’t plan to exploit anything or move to China so, let’s not jump to rash conclusions about why Americans wanna learn mandarin, okay? Thanks.
