I'm so used to being negative on this channel and criticizing the dolls, so hopefully this positivity shows that I still enjoy AG and their products. I was 13 when Chrissa released and ironically was getting bullied for "still liking" AG, so my parents bought her for me and reading her story made me feel better. Now I'm 26 and still "still like" AG, so take that, bullies (lol).

My favorite girl of the year has to be Blaire, I do feel like I actually like Joss more, but Blaire will always be my favorite GOTY because she was a doll I had my eye on for months, and she was my first AG doll ever

I totally agree with most of these! I love Joss, I think she’s super cute, I loved her story and how she has a hearing aid and I love her collection as well. I also love Lea’s appearance I think she’s so pretty and photogenic. I definitely agree with Chrissa I think her story is really important and interesting since it focuses on bullying and homelessness. I love Jess as well! amazing video!

Tbh my favourite GOTY ever must be McKenna Brooks of 2012 i was surprised she wasn’t on here because I remember her being very popular! I wanted her since I’ve first seen her and actually got her even though I’m not even from America and the shipping was the worst. I’m still so thankful to my parents for going through this and gifting her to me. She has a special place in my heart
My favourite girl of the year is kanani, the doll was so unique and her story is well thought out . Her collection was amazing and I really hope one day I can get kanani

I was out of collecting AG from 2015-2019, feel bad that I missed out on Lea ! 😭 she’s beautiful. Love Joss too. ❤️ It’s weird that AG is still keeping GOTYs around, but hopefully I can get Joss before she goes into the archives!

People always hate on Blaire and even though from what I hear, her story isn't the best- she is so unique in the GOTY line and beautiful
@@AllycatlovesAG I am always going to like the girly dolls. Like Isabelle. PEOPLE DESPISE HER just because they find her boring. What is wrong with liking ballet and fashion? On the other hand, I don't like Luciana because I find STEM and anything to do with sports boring. I hope they can do a GOTY who is a model or maybe even a beauty queen.

So I was wondering if you get your joss and 59 mixed up and If you think I would get them mixed up. Thank you!!! Btw I love your TH-cam channel so much!!!!
I have Joss and 59 as well. I don't mix them up, but since my 59 was my first doll, she's not in the best condition and I don't use her as much. If you want a diverse collection I wouldn't get her but if you absolutely love Joss go for it

Kailey is a unique choice. May I ask why? To me, there isn't anything special about the doll (other then her turning orange), she had a small collection and the beach theme has been done so many times. I'm curious to know why you like her

Everyone's opinion is different. I see the potential in Kailey and give AG the benefit because she was their second goty and they've advanced ever since. I relate to Kailey as she loves the ocean and body surfing- just like me. I think though her collection is small, that it is cute and gives off beauty vibes. Not sure why people hate on Kailey!

I love Joss’s face mold. She is a great girl of the year. I only like her jumper a lot. I don’t have the doll. I never would have bought the van. I can’t relate to science in Luciana’s collection. If she was into medical studies, I would be able to relate to her. I love Gabriela, despite the things collectors don’t like. I could relate to Chrissa due to being the victim of bullying and suffer from anxiety due to this. I am glad there was no internet when I was bullied. I like Grace’s freckles. I love Leah so much. She is so pretty and has a great collection. Kira is very similar to Leah. She is very pretty, as well. Lani is very pretty. I like her wig and outfits. I live Mia’s hobby of ice skating. I wish we had a roller skater or a doll who wants to be a nurse. Especially with this pandemic. Then collectors would complain about the female type career.
A nurse doll would be so cool, but I don't know how AG could tie it in as there isn't much Kids can do to be nurses
@@AllycatlovesAG It would be more like Kira. The doll could go to health class and have a true want to help others. Kira’s collection has a stethoscope, blood pressure machine and other items that I wouldn’t expect her to know how to use.
I never had Grace she is my dream doll and I hopefully I want to get her one day but I don’t know if she still in American girl doll store
I definitely found myself more interested in reading the Historical Character books instead of the GOTY books, so don't worry about it😄
My favourite GOTY dolls are probably Kanani (She was my first AG doll and is very photogenic), Lea (Also photogenic and more unique in looks than a lot of the GOTYs), and Kailey(She had an interesting book about her trying to save her beach's environment, and she kind of shares my name lol). I also liked Blaire because I felt like her interests were more unique and her outfits were adorable!
I find the historical books to be more memorable and high stakes compared to goty ones

I don't have Mia but I always wanted to get her. I love her hair color and freckles. My favorite that I own would have to be either Saige or Grace. I just love freckles on dolls.

My daughters personal favorite has to be Kira and Lea
I really really love Chrissa I love her eyes and she is so beautiful the black hair in the blue eyes combination is amazing I also really like Grace they look like sisters to me

Mia is handsdown my favorite. Her story is odd but at the same time she seems really fleshedout. From her outfits to the look of her. She's so unique verses the other dolls. ALSO HER NAME OMG

Tbh this is kinda funny but one of my TOP number 1 reasons I wanna buy grace is because I want to dress her in outfits inspired by sour pictures like the album cover etc. why? (only og Olivia fans know) because she played grace in grace stirs up success

Grace is my first doll. I did have to get her head replaced because I cut her hair.
Lea is so pretty but she also needs her head replaced. I was horrible with my early dolls before I was a teenager.
I still want her accessories. I really wanted Lea’s tree hut so I got Kira’s Platform tent.
I’m reading Kira’s first book right now. It’s really good! I am thinking about getting her for Christmas. It’s ether Kira or Samantha.

I would definitely recommend reading Joss’s books if you haven’t. It’s amazing and I 100% recommend. I’m still trying to get the rest of her collection.
Luciana is actually the reason why I’m back into American Girl. She is also my younger cousins favorite doll from my collection.
I agree with your list...I love Joss, Lea, Grace, Mia, Kanani, Lindsey, and Lanie. I'm kinda meh on Luciana, Gabriela, and Chrissa. I need to watch Chrissa's movie. I also love Blaire, her story isn't the best, but she's so pretty. I love that they gave Kira's story some LGBTQ characters.

Well Chrissa gets cyber bullied too in the last book. No offense I love your channel and was so excited when I saw you posted this amazing video! You probably shouldn't say some of these thing with out reading the books coming from someone who read all the Goty books except Kira's and Marisol because she is never talked about so I always forget to get her books used because my library doesn't have it and being one of the very first you don't see it in stores.
There are more to the girl of the years than their books. I don't collect dolls based on books, I collect based on appearance. A goty can have an amazing book but be boring appearance wise, or have a generic story but be a unique doll. Plus I got a lot of help from instagram in terms of why each doll is the best, help from people who read the books.
@@AllycatlovesAG Of course I totally agree that's what I look for in a doll too i just meant like saying that you shouldn't say things like it would be nice to have a doll that gets cyber bullied because Chrissa does. :)
@@kianithemermaid I wasn’t aware of that as I don’t think it was as common of an issue as it is nowadays. I got bullied and part of it was cyber bullying in a way I’m sure Chrissa didn’t experience as social media wasn’t as big in 2009. Someone made an Instagram hate account about me making fun of me and the bully wrote hate comments on my videos. I will look into her 3rd book though
