It’s truly crazy how much we endure as Nigerians. People are born and live their whole lives in situations like this with no hope for a better future. I truly pray help comes soon.

Even in the worst of places you can still find beauty. Watching the children play and laugh and the colorful clothing was such a stark contrast to the environment.

Oh my goodness where do they shower, where do they go if they are in labor, what do the women do when it's that time of the month? So many questions. Watching this is very humbling . so many things that we take for granted like running water or being able to go buy bottled water. A stove a refrigerator... There are so many things. I need to be more thankful for the things that I have that I don't even recognize or acknowledge at times

I have seen slums but never seen such desolate and destitute place no where.
With all due respect, this is an utter shame to all those folks who are calling
themselves educated ones. Take care of these people at once: relocate all of them
    and have better place.
    Love and prayers all.

Who doesn't know about the situation in Africa? I don't think you can solve this problem by throwing money at it. People live like this in many countries and it would cost more than we have to even attempt to help. I think the only fix will come from Africa itself if they ever find good leadership.

I watched all your videos and they are great. I strongly believe you should create more content especially the ones around Nigeria/Africa. It's different from others I have seen and your approach is refreshing especially at the end asking for what the challenges are & also being solution driven at the same time. I hope it inspires Africans & friends of Africa to come together and actually implement those changes. Well done again and keep up the good work. (PS: I believe this is the first time I am ever commenting on a video on TH-cam). This particular video touched me different considering I have even visited Makoko myself.

@@ukgreat As so many believe in “voting”:
Masons are their father the devil, ans their deeds are to steal, to destroy , to kill:
      John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
masons created the schools and the teaching systems, time to come out from these all and search: BIBLE + FREEMASONRY.
Teaching for a test or educating our students? In our time? - nether the 1st not the 2nd.
      Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
There are no countries nor any reason to vote.
We all say, NO LYING, then why lairs you all go and vote for?
One lie needed, to be unable to trust. Politics lie, for it is their job. So, why you all still trust those who lie? A laying family member won´t be trusted, a lying friend won`t be trusted (example from real life) why the politics are?
      Politics = masons.

May God touch the hearts of our politicians so that they abandon their corrupt ways, ameen.

Government has failed these people, and the little that is provided to them is minimal at best. It is hard to tell people that they need to start taking more personal responsibility in how they live. I'm torn when I say that, but part of me feels that their situation can be improved with changes that don't come directly from a corrupt and useless government. They are strong and smart and can make things better. They seem like beautiful people. If it is one thing that I have learned in life, it's that you need to start doing for yourself when no one will do for you.

Also the government in Nigeria is very corrupt it is easier said than than done to relocate, the is a chance they could be exploited somewhere else is not impossible.
