Girl Issa bout time somebody finally posted a doable method so I can do these damn braids on myself. Got me over here questioning my blackness cuz I can’t feed in hair tight enough at the roots. My grip game just ain’t there yet lol😒😩 THANK YOU
Wowww, im sorry y'all. I honestly did not know this video had all these comments. I haven't gotten a notification about a comment on this video until today.. I guess yt picked it up. But thank you so so much for all the love. I really appreciate it! If you've subscribed because of this video Thank You! And welcome! I try to mix it up on my channel so hopefully you'll find something you like 🥰🥰 Happy Holidays to you all! 🤎
I like this method because since you braided your natural hair and tucked it in the braid, the style will last longer. No frizzies because your hair is braided underneath.
You just saved my life.... I wanted knotless without paying the ridiculous amount of $$$ people are charging. And I'm pretty good with crocheting my own hair, you're the GOAT for this one. Thanks so much. I did subscribe lol
I’ve tried this method before but I never braided my first braid all the way down which caused my ends to peak through. I like your method much better and the way you explained tucking the hair made a lot of sense to me. Thanks for sharing, great tutorial!
If I can recommend anything. Try using one piece instead of 2, it’ll give it that more knotless look. With 2 pieces it’ll look more like a box braid. I’ve done the crotchet method with one piece with smaller, and big knotless braids, and it does the trick! ♥️
If I were to do jumbo/large, how would one piece of hair make the braid proportionate to the parts? Take a large piece of hair and put it horizontally through the middle?
@@kjewelb7209 yeah that’s how I do it to me it’s better that way and looks more of a knotless look. Using 2 pieces in my opinion makes it look like a box braid
Thats a great idea. Another suggestion is start your natural hair as a braid for make a half and inch or so and then transition into a loose twist until you hit the end of your twist and then go a little tighter. This will allow for a flatter braid
Hello young lady! Was looking for easy box braid tutorials and yours popped up. Having hand surgery on 4/1 and was looking for a protective style to try to do myself. This looks like Something I can do myself and might last for a few weeks while I’m recovering. Very easy to understand and visually relatable. Thank you for teaching this more mature lady a thing or two. New subbie for more tricks of the trade. TFS ❣️
I gotta show this in depth tutorial to my hairstylist ! She's going to be amazed at the simple braiding method. She admits not being the best boxbraider but can cornrow really well. I'll definitely be doing this protective style. Thanks for the helpful tips and shortcuts 👍
Thank you for this video im a mother of 6 kids (3 girls 3 boys) we are thick natural hair family covid-19 has stopped us from going to beauty salons soo this is a nice style for me to do on them while we are home .
I learned to do braids in Cosmo class but in the last recent years they popped back in my life and have friends asking me to do them. I always look for videos as recap. Don't be hard on yourself you did a great job explaining and showing!! Love your braids girly
PERFECT, FINALLY I CAN DO IT ‼️‼️‼️ I GOT tired of adding hair then I see a knot or I could just never keep that thickness of the braid without adding hair.
I can do it... I can do it... I can do it!! I'm going to be trying this on my own head here soon! Loved the video, gives me confidence that I can save my coins and do this myself!
Hello, you gave a great example on how to do braids 👌 I'm actually doing my daughters braids today, that's why I was searching for a easy explained method of doing them& I'm choosing to do them your way😃I usually do her box braids the rubber band method way but I love your method way better. Thanks for sharing, God bless 🙌
Pure genius! I was feeling bummed because I really want to do this myself but I am a beginner for real and can’t do feed ins yet. This is very doable and I will be trying this out ASAP. There is hope! Thank you💗💗
Just a little tip from a hairstylist it is okay to softly rinse the products off of your edges im the shower let them air dry and re do your edges to avoid the “caked up” look, you’ll be basically doing fresh edges every or every other day
I totally subscribed. I been doing my own hair since I was 11 and I couldn't figure out a good way to do single braids without the rubber bands ....so thank you so much!!! I noticed after covid I stopped doing my hair as often (depression) and when I took down my hair the rubber bands would literally rip out my hair like chunks of it so thank you so much this is going to boost my confidence 🤗❣️
I’m new and watched this to learn. I’ve watched several video but yours was the best at showing an easy way to do the braid. Thanks for sharing, Sharii😊🌸😊
Hey, just subscribed and completed my hair. It was my first time adding hair to my own and this is a very beginner friendly method! I love it! Looks super cute! The only thing I did differently was rubber band the top of my braids because when I added the braiding it loosened my own braids and made it loose at the root. Its probably because I'm a beginner and my hair is kinda soft.
Thank you for this. This is EXACTLY the video I needed to see. I have bleached curly hair and want to protect it extra as well as use dark hair for braid without the peek out of my own hair.
I really like this method. I will definitely try it next time I braid because that feed in technique looks like a real headache and I don’t have good grip to make tight knots. Thanks for sharing.
Ok but youre literallly giving me the motivation and courage I need to braid. Your video makes braiding not look as scary as I feel like it is. I am very glad I clicked on this bc now Im kinda excited to braid my own hair! Ive been watching lots of videos but this is by far one of my favs. Thank you for sharing this!
New here, Awesome job! I was looking for some alternative methods to try for my box braids and I don't have time for feeding in hair so this was PERFECT! Thank you!
Guuurrrllaaaa soon as I seen this video I immediately did my hair! Thank you thank you thank you ! I love knotless braids but it’s so hard for me to waste money when I can kinda do hair. I cldnt quite grasp the knotless tho. This helped!! I tweaked it just a little ...but this video saved me!
Yes yes yes I love this thank you soooo much I was so worried that I would mess up my hair because I’m a beginner and the whole adding hair technique was stressing me out😭 but I love this and you can’t even tell ....definitely gonna do this
Hi luv!! It’s my first time running across your channel and I’m so thankful!! I’m trying to start learning to do some more protective styles at home on my own and I can’t wait to try this!!💗 thank you
Yes, I went a ahead and hit that SUBSCRIBE button cause this video was so helpful. I want these for my next protective style and the person that braids my hair HATES feed in. So yes girl I sent this to her before I even finished the video😉. Bout to hit your page and check out what else you got goin on!
Hey hunny, I just subscribed to you, I been on TH-cam for years but this is the year I’m going to start my own TH-cam, thanks you to I’m jumping out there, I’m loving your vibe, thanks for the experience, keep them coming boo
Lol, why'd I think I invented something new today..😂 I just did this to my hair before I watched this video!. I like watching videos about what I'm doing.
I subscribed, I appreciated that you didn't do feed-ins and I actually just chose to braid mine over the rubber band (working through fibromyalgia flare up trying to ignore pain). But I did enjoy your video!
Sis! I love this. I think feed in braids are too much as well. So annoying, but this method worked great!! Thank you for saving me on workout days. The crochet method was worth the $1.00, braiding my own hair was so much much simpler.
I badly want to braid my hair because I am growing it out 😌 I like your method it like looks really easy. I will give this a try tonight 😊 I'm not to keen on using rubber bands. ❤️
Haven't tried this method or any method was looking how to start and I to feel this method would be less time consuming compared to feeder braids.... so thank you for sharing🙂
I love this method! You make it look so easy. I will be trying this method this weekend. By the way, your hair is really cute! Thanks for sharing this video. ❤
Hi goergous, I'm new to tour channel and loved this tutorial....I used a similar method the first time I attempted knotless however this method seems a bit simpler. I will definitely be trying this method next. Thanks for sharing 💕
Crochet method is like the “microwave” for hair techniques and I’m here for it...great video. Lol

this!!
All of this, and I can braid my ass off, but haven't mastered the feed in method..
Here here sis!!!

Does your hair grow a lot with this method, im trying to grow my hair
What kind of hair did you use?
@@lvkp6443 that could depend on how long you keep the style in and also if your hair remains protected meaning doesn’t peak out the braids
Thank you for this! I did my OWN braids for the first time at 36. I appreciate you so much!
And I subscribed!
I like this method because since you braided your natural hair and tucked it in the braid, the style will last longer. No frizzies because your hair is braided underneath.
Good point!
Exactly
I was literally on the verge of giving up 😭😭😭;then I stumbled on your video...
Thank you sooooo much 😗
Me too😩💕
Guess I been under a rock. I had no idea you could crochet knotless box braids. These look really good. I like all your protected styles.
Lol thank you bestie sis! You can lowkey crochet anything 😂
I use to do this style in the 70s and now am still doing it .but didn't got the crochet needle ,I use to use sewing needle .
You just saved my life.... I wanted knotless without paying the ridiculous amount of $$$ people are charging. And I'm pretty good with crocheting my own hair, you're the GOAT for this one. Thanks so much. I did subscribe lol

Definitely an easy technique. Gonna try it this week.
