Cornell and Gnecco are two of my favourite vocalists, it always freaks me out when someone reminds me of this connection between them! This live version is fabulous! Which bootleg is it from?
This was most definitely NOT a Chris Cornell cover. Cornell did a rough draft of this song for the Spiderman 2 soundtrack, but the "powers that be" ultimately went with a different direction (Jimmy Gnecco.) If you get the chance to check out both versions they are both really good, though!
I called it a cover because on the on the intro to the song that I cut out, Jimmy talked about how it took him forever to record this version of the song because he could not get the Chris Cornell version out of his head. He even did a little impression of Chris Cornell singing, it's cute.
Joe Herbert Oh ok, I bet the impression was awesome! Lol, I'd love to hear that, actually. Haha. Honestly, both versions are really good, and while I am a HUGE Cornell Fan, I think Jimmy's is slightly better for obvious reasons. :-)
It my pleasure. As time permits I plan to continue to post the best recording I can find of each song.
This song reminds me of my wife. I love you so much Sarah 💗
I'd die 4 her
Thank you so much for posting these songs!! One of my favorite artist of all time. Especially LIVE
