Ever felt compelled to watch something over and over and over and still get goosebumps even when you know what's coming next? That is this video--his best version yet. He was in amazing voice that night--thank you so much for sharing!
ty awishedforsong i tried to search this on youtube but i couldnt find the original version! And yes! I agree with u, he has one of the most powerful voices and can be compared with Jeff... they were even good friends b4 jeff passed...
I don't think HamiltonFreitas' question was ever answered - Roy Orbison sang this song first. He and Joe Melson wrote it. Jimmy Gnecco has one of the most powerful and painfully beautiful voices the world has ever had the pleasure of hearing. I'm a hugely devoted Buckley fan, but wow... I will only say that if ever there was a man who could top Jeff's voice, it's Jimmy Gnecco.
I'm pretty sure we're allowed to compare if we want to. :) There's nothing wrong with that. There are similar things about them and their abilities and the ultimate vibe and feel they give to their music (and ability to belt it out & vocal range). There are also MANY *different* things. There's nothing wrong with saying Jimmy Gnecco is practically on par with Jeff Buckley. Comparisons are made with musicians all the time... People just seem to get uptight when Jimmy and Jeff are compared.

Sorry for my ignorance... but who sang this the 1st time?
Roy Orbison
How could anyone talk while he's singing?
They have their own diffrent unique vocals! But you can tell jimmy was greatly influenced by jeff buckley!
why can't they compare? they're clearly pretty similar. and that's ok.
