@@marilynweaver4331 how awesome! I have family in Cherokee County. 😊 Love going to the creeks to rockhound. I grew up swimming in those creeks. Such beautiful scenery. 😊
Those are sheets of shale that washed down from a few hundred feet up the river. One of the walls is a long stretch of shale. There is some pyrite in a few of those pieces of shale, too.
can you help me with a couple pieces I have found in Georgia with some native artifacts i believe they are gems but not sure its the video with the rock held to the light thanks in advance BRYAN
Hello! To be honest, the bulk of my mining experiences has been in Arkansas, and I have only ever really done and rockhounding in creeks/rivers and lakes here in Oklahoma. There is the Salt Plains for the hourglass crystals, but I have yet to go there. There really isn't anything else coming to mind off the top of my head at the moment... If I think of something, I'll be sure to respond. www.fws.gov/refuge/salt_plains/visit/dig.html

There aren't really any mines left to hound in OK. Rose rocks are fun and you can hound them. In OKC at the lake 🥰
I few of them had skull shape
😦💩 🤣🤣
I know, right!?! I debated on whether to leave it in there or not, but I figured it was a little more "real", kind of like a blooper, so I did. ;-)
