    Best thing about these videos is that you simplify and make them so precise that they are so easy to remember and understand the concept. They extract the confusion out of the topics. Thanks so much

    My teacher focuses heavily on origin and exits of the cranial nerves. I’ve probably drawn it three times but this 3D run through finally connected the dots for me and reinforced my knowledge on their purpose. Thanks!

    Thank you for this video. I was able to quickly recapitulate what was learnt in the medical school. I'd recommend this for anybody who wants to revise the anatomy of Cranial Nerves.

    This is a very refreshing method of teaching; I really enjoyed being shown the function and location of the cranial nerves on this 3D digital model. But also, very detailed tutorial. Much appreciated. Thank you.

    I usually use "oh, oh, oh, to take a family vacation go vegas after hours". It helps me better as vegas means vagus nerve and I always mix vestibulocochlear and vagus nerves.

    lol at the mnemonic. Here's another one: On old Olympus' towering top a finely vested German viewed a hypo.
    Great 3D vids, it really helped with understanding the relationship between structures.

    Wonderful! I am a plain Italian worker but I am fascinated about this video. About two thousands of years of studying anatomy with many difficulties along centuries of efforts sectioning a lot of corps.Many technical words are similar to Italian because they are from Latin.

    The olfactory nerve cells are dipole neurons, so they have one peripheral dendrite, which receives the sense of smell, and one central axon, which constitutes the olfactory nerve fiber, that goes through the foramina of the hythmoid bone and synapses indeed in the olfactory bulb to transmit the sense to the brain. So, the initiate sensor nucleus of these cells is in the mucosa of the nasal cavity and their terminal sensor nucleus is the olfactory bulb, which is in the brain.

  • @okjhum
    @okjhum 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent tutorial! And it's good to hear the English pronunciation of all those names that I (a foreigner) have tried to learn from books only. Just one thing: As far as I know, the acoustic nerve, surprisingly, contains far more efferent fibres than afferent, seemingly for assisting in focussing our sound perception by affecting the outer hair cells. So shouldn't it be called a mixed nerve, rather than pure sensory?

  • @KarmicBeats
    @KarmicBeats 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been searching the net for a long time looking for a diagram that show the trigeminal nerve and its exact route to the face and were it emerges from the skull. Everything is about the back of the head. WHY?

    From an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) perspective, if one was to aim for the vagus nerve, unintentionally hitting the accessory nerve first, would that suddenly stimulate the sternocleidomastoid muscles as a reflex and automatically protect the vagus nerve?
