As a DELE preparator teacher and examiner you mentioned several things that clearly helped you: the motivation by the pressure of your circumstances, the consistency and the confidence. When we are under pressure we can do wonders. Again, I am amazed and really admire your determination and talent. Probably teaching another language also helped you a bit too 😉
@@englishwithnat It's a subconscious response to expressing yourself, often with passion. There's no harm in it as that passion can rub off on others when you're explaining things.
@maxillusionartist, If you read up on lecture presentations, hand waving gets the attention of the audience and the expression is more emphatic and genuine. You can actually research the more successful Ted Talks presentations compared to the less successful ones.
