Back then the National League and American League balls were different made by different companies. I would have thought a key issue would be the ball itself. It would have been a Natioal League Warren Giles stamped ball, one would think.

Look. I’m not saying I have the ball, but I’m saying that I saw an old ball in a baseball park.

one thing I think is certain, the Sister had the ball. If the thing ever surfaced, it would have no signatures on it.

Agreed. It's possible she could have given it away at some point, but she would have still kept her vow of silence about its significance even when giving it away so someone could have a ball without knowing its significance!

Only problem-- The LF wall at The Polo Grounds was 17' high.... How did Tommy Holmes bump into Sister Rita when she was 17' above ground?

All he had to do to get there was hop the rail on the third base side toward left field and make his way over. Or he could have gotten there via the centerfield clubhouse since there was a stairwell leading to the clubhouse that would put you in the left-centerfield seats and then he could have made his way over.

@@epaddon How would he know she even had the ball to make his way up the 3B boxes and then up the LF ramp and then out the seats to find her in all the excitement?

@@epaddon One thing supporting Sister Rita did get the ball.... If you look at the photo, a lot of people think the ball was headed over the wall at a close to 90-degree angle-- Like most stadiums. But b/c The Polo Grounds had suck a unique design, the trajectory of the ball is actually headed her way.

@@bklynusa2213 There is also this picture taken afterwards where you can see her plain as day and in contrast to all the other fans who are looking straight out at the field or who are looking in her direction to where the ball landed, she has resumed her seat and is looking down to one side as though she is looking at something she has just picked up or is holding. media.gettyimages.com/photos/jubilant-new-york-baseball-giants-fans-toss-confetti-and-throw-their-picture-id51810263?s=2048x2048

@@epaddon Is this the same pic where the detectives deciphered the Ball? If not, it looks like another Ball Sighting-- There's two guys in Section 35 raising their arms.... The guy on the RIGHT; right above his head.
