Last weekend Fiann & I headed to Penzance in Cornwall to take part in the RatRace Man vs Coast event - a beautiful, if gruelling, event around the coast near Land's End. The mine you went through was Geevor Tin Mine. It’s a museum and a tourist attraction with a mine you can still go down. The kids love it. I love that stretch of the coast path.

Big positive on Soar kit was they repaired a jacket of mine for free, really good service and I always look to mend kit if possible so great to see a company with a clear focus on sustainability. I don't buy from them often, maybe once every two years, but still use everything I have on a weekly basis and on ultras including UTMB - performance is great and happy to see you enjoyed their kit too!

"Bit damp"! 🤣🤣🤣😂🙂 I would've definitely tried to run around the puddle thing they made you swim through. Reminds me that at my last race (BigSea50k) we started on the beach and one of my big toes got wet, and I got a BLISTER! 🤣🤣 Also, btw, LOVE the Soar stuff.!!!! 😍😍😍

Another great vlog, such a beautiful spot and what a variety of terrain! The extra elements are an awesome distraction from all the kms you have in front of you😊 Love your kit too, I’ll have to drop hints for birthday and Christmas (the Aussie dollar makes the gear quite expensive 😢) ❤

What an incredible day!! Congrats to you both on finishing such a gorgeous challenge with relatively minimal prep! (My favorite method. 😂) I have to look into Soar. They sound like a great company with great products.

Got a few club mates who have done the Arc on various occasions and yeah it's absolutely brutal. And it's in January too which must make it even worse!! I'm looking forward to running the section of the coast path from Kennack to Lizard Point in October.

Hey! Fiann and I both wore the Hoka Mafate Speed 4 and no no issues at all! I absolutely love these shoes for hard packed trails and mixed-terrain runs as they're great on road too. 🙌 so issues with blisters (though tbf I'm not prone to blisters, but Fiann is and didn't struggle either)

It was gorgeous! All the water elements are missable if you don't want to do them, but it's all part of the fun - it's not your standard running race! 🙈

@worzel1983 Yeah all except the paddleboarding! But lots of them were cancelled this year because of the swell.
Careful Flora! When the ultra distance athlete calls a paleontologist a fossil hunter there's a chance the ultra distance athlete might end up being called a jogger by someone close to her!
HA for the purpose of not being met with blank stares when I say the word palaeontologist, I say fossil hunter. Fiann calls himself that too! Since that's literally what he does 😅
