    Looks like you are setup with a mid cleat position?

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not full mid-foot cleat position, but I defs prefer having the cleats further back than forward. Hard to explain exactly why, just feels more connected through the pedal stroke, especially when in a more aero position.

    Quick question on shoes - in one of Chris Miller's fairly recent videos you were riding in what looked to be Bont Zero+'s, and if so how, does the sole shape compare to the Rapha Pro Teams, specifically the inner arch? I have flat inner feet which sadly didn't work with the 'bathtub' arched carbon soles of the Bonts, so wondering if the Rapha shoes have a more traditional flat carbon sole with the shoe fabric taking care of inner arch support.
    Also if you have happened to use Fizik Tempo Overcurve R4s, how do they compare to the Pro Teams in terms of comfort/heel retention and toe box size?

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are not many shoes like Bonts, the sole on the Rapha shoes are more like a standard shoe (which I prefer). But the Rapha shoes still have decent arch/inner foot support, the inside of the shoe doesn't collapse like some others. They come with different inserts for the arch so you can run them lower profile for flat feet.
      I haven't used Fiziks.

    How would you rate the shoes against the S phyres?

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are roomier than the Sphyres in the toe box, which I found too tight. And the arch support is better, the inner part of the shoe feels stiffer so provides more support.

    Does the Pro Team jersey feel ok with that strange seam across the belly of different material? Pro Team Training jersey have longer sleeves, like the PT Aero? I like the longer sleeves.
    I wish Rapha still made the Pro Team Aero bib shorts. My favorite bibs, even more slick and comfortable with the longer leg length. Better than the Pro Team II bibs.
    I can't believe you fit SM! LOL

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never noticed the seam across the belly until you pointed it out, certainly don't feel it. But I prefer the PT Training Jersey, the sleeves are longer, not quite as long as the Aero which easily go to the elbow. But longer than the regular Pro Team.

    what size do you wear in the core bib tights? im 6'3 155lbs and thinking about the mediums but still unsure if they will be long enough

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Medium. 6'2 ~165 lbs. They are plenty long, length shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't get a large, they will be too loose.

    I have some rapha however I ordered large when I was a bit heavier. I'm now 6ft 79 kg. Do you think I'm safe to order medium?

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh medium sounds right. I'm 189cm, ~77kg and I wear medium bib-shorts, small top. But the tops are very tight, medium would be a more appropriate size for me. For you, medium sounds spot on

      Unfortunately not, but there's always a deal in the Archive section of the site which I was never aware of. On the Rapha site > Men or Women > Highlights > Archive. Some of the items in there are heavily discounted.
      I find filtering by size helps a lot in there as most sizes will be out of stock in the Archive section.

    Rapha = Overpriced!

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What makes you say that?
      I find a lot of their product are very good quality for the price. Take the Pro Team Training Jersey for example, $150 AUD. Great fit, great colours, super comfortable, not overpriced at all.
      Something's only overpriced if it doesn't meet the expected quality, most Rapha products hit that mark easily.

    • @henriks5008
      @henriks5008 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nerocoaching Cause that jersey for example is closer to 200 AUD where i live. And for that price i cant buy two Castelli, Nalini, SportFul etc jerseys, and they do just the same are just as comfy and the design is nice. Dont need Rapha.

    • @nerocoaching
      @nerocoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, must change alot on the location because that's certainly not the case in Aus. Most of those brands you can't buy a jersey under $150 here, and even if you found one on sale it would be the entry level versions which probably wouldn't match what Rapha is producing.

    • @Technotranceism
      @Technotranceism ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely pricey, but I have seen worse with some other brands as well.
