Hi there I have a question regarding worm gear box I am constructing a tumbler machine using a worm gear box My question is ; why it is heated up so much during operation ? What is the maximum temperature should be ? Ps : we already dismantled the gear box into pieces to allow lathe working to put the pullies

If it is elecon gearbox it can be with stand at a temperature 60-65°c
what is input rpm of gearbox and what is its gear ratio.
