I have thick hair strands and back in junior high, the school only allows the boys to have short hair (Joey and Boy-in-a-Band went through this too). When my hair is that short, it just doesn't go down so I only used tap water to control where it flowed, mostly to the back then some in front and that's literally my default hair. Emily is actually Amanda Clarke, whose father was framed by the Graysons for treason when she was a little girl, and the beach house is her childhood home. After a lengthy trial, he was imprisoned for life and was murdered in prison by associates of the people who framed him. Meanwhile, Amanda was separated from him and spent most of her time in a juvenile correctional facility, only to find out her father was killed six weeks before she was released on her 18th birthday. She now returns to the Hamptons as an adult to get revenge on those who wronged her father and her. Her primary target is Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), matriarch of the Grayson family, who loved and betrayed Amanda's father. The show focuses on Emily's plot to destroy every individual who played a role in her father's imprisonment. Along the way, she discovers various facts about her father's past which changes her plans many times. As the series progresses, Emily brings in other individuals as allies for her plan. As Emily executes the stages of her elaborate plan, she finds remaining emotionally detached to be difficult. She struggles to identify her true motivations and examines how her actions change her sense of identity. As she enlists trusted friends into her schemes, she worries how their involvement will change their lives and how she will proceed after she exacts her revenge on those who wronged her father and her. As much BS as TH-cam has, if you’re good at it, it’s one of the more impressive careers imo, building fan bases the way these guys do is not easy by any means, one of the hardest things to do

Trash Taste has been a huge part of my life. They made me more confident by expressing my thoughts by knowing how to reiterate myself, that back then I thought no one would understand me for having complex thoughts about my passion and emotions. Their advices and points of view in life made me more flexible when having opinions and made to be more open minded when understanding someone's thoughts or view in life. I'm hopeful that I could fully express myself and my emotions with other people like them one day. Thank you Trash Taste!
Typical non glasses wearing people. The old dude wears glasses when he needed to read your destination is because he has plus vision. He needs glasses to look up close while he doesn't for normal driving vision
oh god, Garnt's story about his neighbour reminds me of my neighbours above me a long time ago. If I talked in my bed room, they would stomp on the floor. My alarm went off, and they complained. They flooded my bathroom because they were having a shower without a shower curtain, and I had a waterfall in my bathroom. They jumped on the floor to "teach us a lesson". Eventually after a year and a half of this, they got evicted because they were complaining about everyone and everyone in the building. The landlord said fuck this, and evicted them, it was the best day ever. Ever since then, I have been afraid to make noise in my place if I share a wall with someone. I understand Garnt's feelings about making noise.
Connor apparently has never heard of reading glasses. I see clearly at distance but hold a phone up to my face and it's just a blurry mess. Wearing reading glasses makes things close clear but things at a distance blurry.
As a guy whose went through a lot of skin care products over 4 years, find a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen that fits yours skins preference. It might take a while but it is really is all you need. Maybe some retinol/retinoids or exfoliation every now and then. Don’t underestimate simplicity.
agreed. I always see these massive shelfies on the skincareaddiction sub but cuz my skin cant handle too many products Ive stuck to just cleanser, tret, mositurizer and sunscreen and the occasional face mask. Face masks arent needed tbh, theyre good if youre going somewhere special the next day or the day of but it's more of a self care thing. Sunscreen took me forever to find but ive found a good one now and the local supermarket's also selling this japanese sunscreen that's really popular so it's gotten more accessible. For exfoliation, I've found a face cloth is best at doing some gentle exfoliation daily without worrying about chemical burns and whatnot. And ofc diet is important too. That aside tho I love when friends ask me bout skin care cuz i get to tell them all a this and recc products
Last little bit is exactly what I needed right now, I’m 21, behind in university, and sort of burnt out on everything. Thanks boys, probably gonna go on a trip or something
Kimono episode is a must now. The order is: oil cleanser, foam/gel cleanser, HIDRATING cream, serum/masks, oils/moisturizer or both, SUNSCREEN. Edit: the reason acne creams don't work is because you dry your skin but you dom't remoisture it.... so the skin produces more sebum to conter the dryness you are making.
I tried to get into this routine and I got fucked. It's overwhelming. For newbies with no severe acne, just start with a foam cleanser, (optional: toner), serum/essence with Vit C, moisturizer, then sunscreen in the morning - reapplying throughout the day. With acne - gel/gentle cleanser, toner and heavy moisturizer. Key ingredient: Cica. Plus sunscreen in the morning.
I appreciate the talk about finding new experiences near the end of the episode. I've been debating whether or not to do my university's study abroad program for a while now and this just pushed me over the edge to actually do it. They actually have options to go to Japan, and since I'm already studying the language and love the culture, I think that'd be a great experience, and I think I'm going to save up the money and go for it. I'll have to double down on my language study but I think if I'm going to do something like that, it's much easier to do it now.
I'M DYING AT THE SEGMENT ABOUT FIGURING OUT HAIR STYLES They talked about it before in a different episode, which I'm fine with, but the thing is. It started off exactly the same as last time Garnt: the reason why I styled my hair like this is because it was the hair style that took the least amount of effort-- Connor: fuck off garnt HAHAHAHA history really repeats itself

1:53:30 Boys, thank you. I am traveling abroad right now, because I am going to go to a university in this country, and I am a little afraid, but this last part reassured and motivated me to keep going. Studying abroad is hard, but the cultural cross pollination is worth it! Thanks for the motivation and keep up the amazing podcasts!
The fact that this episode was uploaded around the same time that Chris uploaded the new Journey Across Japan indicates that they will let Chris back in the studio sooner or later.
I like how they talked about opportunities and how you have to search for them. I'm actually an international student from Albania doing uni in Italy. And they are right at how easy it is to find the chance/offer/opportunity, but that mainly applies for "big" countries. It's quite hard to try to get into a European university while being born in a non-EU country, especially cuz it costs a LOT of money and not many people have too much money to spend. So it's quite sad that your chances are minimized based on the country you were born in. Other than that, I completely agree, studying in an another country makes you open your eyes to how big the world can actually be.
I went to elementary school and middle school in the Czech Republic, high school in the Philippines, and university in Canada and Scotland. I can definitely vouch for the fact that spending your academic career in different countries is one of the most valuable things you can experience.
The last half hour tho, hits so true especially since I’m at the point if I just finished high school a couple months ago in 2020 but now I don’t know what to do with my life and I never did anything exciting at school, kinda exactly like Joey and now I want to go off and explore my country and city
The first episodes of each seasons are bangers. This was a great episode! I finished my undergrads this year and was procrastinating to the absolute max as to deciding what to do next. The last conversation honestly inspired me to start looking for options abroad to finally get out of the little box I have put myself into. Wish me luck bois!
In regard to Connor's story with the taxi driver: In some Asian and south Asian countries, taxi drivers purposely take the long route or extend the duration of the trip IF they see that a foreigner gets in the taxi (because they assume they can make more money off the fact that the foreigner isn't familiar with the route). Not saying that happened here necessarily since Connor got some of the money back, but it's possible the taxi driver returned some of it because he heard Connor take a picture.
In Vietnam, we even negotiate the prepaid fee and without it being accepted, we not gonna take the taxi. It feels bad to deal with all the taxi drivers in this way even when not all of them are scammers. And btw, the way Connor did will never work in Vietnam (and most SEAs, I think) since they give no fk care about it.
@@nguyenduyminh2155 yes, in Colombia is the same, it’s awful but the taxi driver would take advantage of you if you don’t do it, I remember a situation a few years ago where they charged a poor Canadian the triple 🤦🏻♀️

oh god, Garnt's story about his neighbour reminds me of my neighbours above me a long time ago.
@John Horner at least u r in peace rn:)

I really want Man in a Motel to animate the "Neighbor from Hell" segment.
Kimono episode is a must now. The order is: oil cleanser, foam/gel cleanser, HIDRATING cream, serum/masks, oils/moisturizer or both, SUNSCREEN. Edit: the reason acne creams don't work is because you dry your skin but you dom't remoisture it.... so the skin produces more sebum to conter the dryness you are making.
if they are not using makeup, I don't think they need double cleansing.
I don't understand
whats the difference between oil and foam cleanser
@@mjsaint5744 If you wear sunscreen, which you should, it's better to do double cleansing, especially if the 2nd cleanser is a gentle one.

Yeah absolutely right, these opportunities are nonexistant in a lot of countries, including mine
Oh wow. As an asian who really wants to go to a European or American University, yes the financial issues are the biggest problem
Yep. Here the best opportunities are reserved for the ones with higher qualifications or shitloads of money.
Im albanian too:)
I went to elementary school and middle school in the Czech Republic, high school in the Philippines, and university in Canada and Scotland. I can definitely vouch for the fact that spending your academic career in different countries is one of the most valuable things you can experience.

In regard to Connor's story with the taxi driver:
In some Asian and south Asian countries, taxi drivers purposely take the long route or extend the duration of the trip IF they see that a foreigner gets in the taxi (because they assume they can make more money off the fact that the foreigner isn't familiar with the route). Not saying that happened here necessarily since Connor got some of the money back, but it's possible the taxi driver returned some of it because he heard Connor take a picture.
That thing happens in Latam too 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
@@blushpom on god, in Europe too
In Vietnam, we even negotiate the prepaid fee and without it being accepted, we not gonna take the taxi. It feels bad to deal with all the taxi drivers in this way even when not all of them are scammers.
And btw, the way Connor did will never work in Vietnam (and most SEAs, I think) since they give no fk care about it.
Heck, even just being a tourist from the same country they'll still do it.
