I feel you with the farming in this game, the driving makes it unbearable to do. I think a farming Sim series would be cool RP. But as I always say to others, do what you enjoy doing and it shows when content creators are playing the games they enjoy cause that reflects the quality and atmosphere of the channel and the person we come to enjoy watching. Keep doing what you're doing friend. Stay awesome :)
I just found this channel earlier today. I love what you're doing here. Keep it up with the great content. Also, your voice reminds me of one of my local AM radio hosts, which always reminds me of spending time with my dad in the garage when I was little. That touch of nostalgia keeps me coming back.
Thank you for such a wonderful comment. I appreciate it very much 🙏 and am very happy you found my channel. I have a session 3 playthrough currently running every Sunday at 12:00 pm. EST Stop by and say hello 👋 sometime, and thank you again for the comment 😊
Well I'm here to say, as a woman who watched her husband plow/plant/harvest many a field, in the end, I thought it did pretty darn good! The trick with a tractor is just like you ended up doing, big wide arcs so that when you reach the planting soil, you're already lined up. I could feel your frustration in the beginning though. I bought this game in July of last year, and I never even made it through the tutorial. I'm elderly and disabled, almost bedridden, and I've taken up games to busy my mind and hands, but I was never a gamer. I minimally played Frogger and Pac-Man on stand up arcade games as a kid, and minimally played Mario on Nintendo with my kids years and years ago (they're all grown with kids of their own lol) but I was not born with a keyboard or controller in my hand. When I started games, my daughter helped me and had me get a Nintendo switch, which I dearly love. But the games that I want to play are limited on there so eventually I caved and got a laptop to connect to my TV. And I love the endless choices of games available to me, but I cannot retrain my muscle memory from the switch controller. So I'm totally totally useless with a keyboard. So when I first got this game, I would bet money that I hit every tree on the way to find the gas station. I finally made it but it was nighttime, because another of my limitations is I'm very slow at these games and it takes me forever to get oriented to the maps. I was nearly in tears because I was so excited about it. I turned it off and didn't play again. Until I ran across your series and saw your beautiful dairy setup and really the whole farm and the straight fences 😱 and I wanted to play again so badly. I redownloaded the game today, and ended up going through 5 hours of pure h*** because it wouldn't load because of some "oodledata" plugin or something. I'm so tech dumb. All of my kids live far away in other states. I paused your video, this one of the farming, right at the beginning before I did all of that. But I finally FINALLY got it fixed and working and can play tomorrow. So I came back to finish watching this video. And I want you to know, we can all see by your ranch that you enjoy perfection so there's no need to keep apologizing for being "real" because that's what makes your videos special! It's what made me sit and watch every single video in the series, and why I'm now a new subscriber! Please don't stop being real! The vehicles in this game are what's not real lol and they're horrible, HORRIBLE! But you help so many people and your design and ingenious setup is amazing! So thank you for what you do! And thank you for inspiring me to redownload the game and try again!
Thank you so very much. I am delighted to meet you, and I am even more happy that you have given me a chance and subscribed to my little channel. I can relate to your comment on so many levels and can not thank you enough for taking the time to leave such a beautiful comment for me. I am so lucky to have people like yourself helping me build the kind of community of like-minded gamers that I felt was a bit under-served. I respect your drive to try and play games under the circumstances you face, and I can honestly say I would be doing the same thing if that were my situation. Thank you again for this comment. I hope you enjoy the channel and that I can introduce you to different games that you might be able to enjoy and maybe even play in the future. Have a wonderful day, and I hope to hear from you again and keep me informed on how your doing.
I agree with farming not being the most effective way to feed animals. I have a daily routine on my ranch and there is no time for farming. I have 300+ hours controller only. You can change the controller settings in two places. I downloaded and Xbox controller map for my Ranch Game and adjusted the settings in game
Thank you very much for the information! This will definitely help going forward 🙏 🙂 I agree with the daily routine 💯 and that by itself takes farming off the table for me. I do not have time to do it. Appreciate the comment, and have a great weekend!
I feel ya, RP. Farming in this game to me proved worthless and no fun at all. The only real profit is to sell it as filling the silos can only be done with a combine??? A lot of my builds i couldn't even reach the silo trigger, it was a zero fun for me as well. Commcal at best and I found it maddening as I have been a farm sim guy since 2015. Yup, the joy of this game is the Ranch build, for sure!! Thanks for the vid, cheers!!
Thank you and I will not farm anymore than what I did in the video with the exception of harvesting and then seeing if I can put it in a silo! Besides that I am happy to milk cows collect honey and make sausage ;)
My 2 cents on driving tractor on ground prep or any driving. I use mouse steer and keyboard steer together. Use mouse steer for more small movements,( mouse sensitivity changes this of course) and use the centre point on you compass above to pick a tree or part of landscape to keep straight or lines on plot terrain with head of driver. At end of run on plot use keyboard to do a tight U turn back on plot. Works great for me. Do the three plots in one run, meaning turn at the end of three plots. Thanks for your cow building explanation on other video. I also use mouse steer with the head of driver for centre of road lanes.
Hi RP, I have to agree. I could see that it is very difficult to use either the keyboard or controller there has to be a better way to set the setting for the keyboard or controller. most farming is controlled in a square drive, the first drive was very wild. but you got better on the second two fields.
Thank you, and yes, I did notice when I was editing the video I did get better as we went, but it still took the better part of the game day just to do it, and I honestly would rather do other things in the game than spend that much time planting.
Hej there RP, I don't know what was worse: Watching you trying to wrangle that tractor or you breaking your fingers making it happen. Farming is just in for the fact they can. -_- The fertilizer is either store bought or slowly created from manure. Either way, you need another attachment to the tractor which is even harder to manage than the grubber. And yes, you can AND SHOULD sell crops ingame. There is no need to use the wheat to feed the animals with it, it'll be a loss. Selling it: 1200$, refilling the silo: 200$. How ever you draw and turn it: It's a loss. You need 2 vehicles, each has 3 or 4 attachments, each of them cost a ton of money and are a pain in the butt to get from the stores to the ranch. The seeds cost a fortune (3bags to fill 100%), the fuel costs eat away your pitiful margin. The only thing remotly worth it are the sunflowers, which give the biggest cost/gain effect. All in all: NO, don't do it! Your question about who used your step-by-step tutorial: ME! I did. Spend half the night planning and the rest of it building my cheese/sausage empire. Dying to a random bear at the hardware store (where the f*ck did he come from, he wasn't there when I bought the metal and wood?!) Right now I have a very condensed version of your layout with plans to expand. Watching your episodes as I play my own savegame. Congrats on 1730 Subscribers, only a short matter of time until a 0 will appear behind it. You deserve every view, every like, every new sub. Keep it up pal, I love the way you play, comment and edit your videos.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It means a lot to me to know that you enjoy my content. I really enjoy playing many different types of sim and survival games and I hope my audience will come along for those videos too. Again thank you so much and have a great rest of the weekend!
Growing wheat is a waste of time and expensive. You dont make a profit. Stick with blue mold cheese, bees,pineapples..its were you make a big profit. Thanks for the share Brother 👊
Thank you and yes I agree 100%. I feel it is good to show how different things work in the game and try to give an honest look at how the game plays doing different jobs on the ranch. Hope they add some more things to do in the game and of course the pets update is going to be interesting.
I'm new to all this... I've been using the pickup truck, much easier to use then the UTV .. I'm wondering if I can just hitch those machines ...on the back of the pickup truck??😂
You can haul all the trailers in the game with the pick up truck. I agree that the pick up is better for hauling. The ATV is good for the new log carrier too. Happy Ranching!😀
they can be filled with the combine....but what is the point, much like the farming in this game. Just pointless. RP this again was hilarious to me. We all felt this one, ha
Thank you, @MadtownBB, for the comment, and I was hoping 🙏 that it would be taken as a funny look at the farming side of the game. I will have to fill the silos to get rid of the grain. That should be a hoot.
Thank you. Unfortunately, I do not have the ranch from Season 2, but if you want the Season 3 layout, drop it into our Discord, and I can make that available for download. Join us in my Discord: Discord: discord.com/invite/SyRAXwazPj

I enjoy that the speedometer on the tractor goes up to 110. There must be tractor drag racing hidden somewhere in the game.
Makes driving in the game very tough. New updates are supposedly going to fix the issues.
I also changed my settings 😢 for driving, I'm guessing that helped, did that exist then?

@Rob-un6pj Thank you, my friend, for this very helpful comment. I will be taking this advice for sure! Appreciate your support 🙏
Fully agreed on driving for farming. I tried to go at it like a zamboni - I need to sell all my farming gear now! : )
Thank you. Based on driving in general, I figured farming would be difficult at best. Sticking to Ranching 😉

Great to hear and thank you I appreciate it!

Can you start a section on your farm to where you actually raise some baby cows just to re sell it might be pointless but it’s a idea
Interesting idea :) I will have to check it out.

dude yeah that was kinda painful to watch 😬
Driving to the hardware store takes effort let alone plowing and planting. 😩
i would like to have ur blue print of ur ranch
