Hahah, this is pretty hilarious. I grew up in Rennebu! My grandmother was born on a farm on the north side of the main road above field 81, now my uncle owns it. My grandfather was born on a farm just outside the «main» map, on the small road that goes up just after field 131. That farm has since been sold out of the family.
Fairly accurate as far as terrain and roads go, but of course it lacks a lot of buildings/farms compared to «real life». And yes. That bridge is a proper pain in the 4$$.
For future competitive series, the easiest way to make it even and fair is to give each person a predetermined amount of money and you each spend it as you wish. You each decide how much land to have, what machinery, etc. but each person would have exactly equal value to start off
Oh my god, my (old) family home! Probably gonna be a little weird to watch this later and see how much I can recognize. Maybe bittersweet. Spent a lot of my childhood in this valley.
it might be a bit boring, but I would just get those grass fields producing silage (either with a small pit or a baler and wrapper), make some decent coin from those after a few harvests and buy some new fields for crops and productions or livestock.
@@CraydenGamingOfficial Yeah, just what I was thinking, good cash flow opens up so many possibilities. I am still yet to play Platinum edition. Once I have more time I will be binge playing it for sure.
@@ericanker9049 thank you :) it takes time, indeed. Mostly been made after my kids and wife have gone to bed, so three years of 2-3 hr now and then. Wish I could spend more time and get things done faster. This is also why so many buildings are not done. Things take time! One building alone can take anywhere from 5-40 hr alone depending on how detailed I go vs the real building.
Check out the rest of the mods from OlaHaldor, the trailers and slurry spreaders are Norwegian built and designed, and actually used in Rennebu! Nice video, looking forward to the series! Maybe an idea for a future series: Not give everybody the same equipment but a budget for equipment. So there is also content about selecting stuff. But really nice, thanks for this!
Are you at all planning on bringing back larger scale multiplayer? I loved watching your old FS15 videos with the larger scale multiplayer with 5-6 people. I understand if it wouldn't be possible, but I think it would be really cool!
So excited! Love the competitive series! It's not about who wins but it makes you work differently and compare. Also only having 1 store will make you have to pay attention to what the other is selling and when.
Absolutely loved the intro. So fresh and new take on the scenery, so fun to see different perspectives and point of interest! :) Look forward to the next episode!

Without making any promises, I will at least have a look at what can be done for a future excerpt of the map. It would have to be within 2x2km like the default maps though. Will be hard to figure out what part to keep 😅
Even a portion of it would be amazing. But I understand the level of work that would involve. Such a realistic representation of Norwegian Valley farming communities. It's a hard balance making a map - you want it to be close to real, yet give good gameplay. This is something I'm definitely a thing I've wanted to change.
