    As a Brit 🇬🇧 i have never seen an oven with the heating element showing. It must be so tricky getting into all the nooks and crannies. You did such a great job. 👍

    Consider turning the breaker off to the oven and removing the heating element (two screws and unplug). Simply lift up and remove the oven door to make easier access. Get a soft knee pad for the floor.

      I don’t usually remove oven doors because they’re heavy and it’s tough to work on them on the floor. To me, it’s easiest to leave them on. The screws of this element aren’t standard and again, since it isn’t my oven, and given the limited time we Harry to to work on it, I don’t want to break it. Thanks so much for sharing your tips!

    I like the steamer method the best because it doesn't scratch or etch the porcelain enamel. We have a highend range with an iridescent dark blue porcelain enamel and it blings. 💎

      Which steamer do you use (out of curiosity) and do you use an attachment? Love those blue ovens, they’re gorgeous!

    You are "The Amazing Cleaning Expert"!!!🎉 Your video on using pumice stone for cleaning the oven was terrific and so..........useful! I currently do not have a self cleaning oven. I did not want to use any chemicals to clean it and sodium bicarbonate with vinegar was not enough. A lot of old residue from prior apartment owner's use. This pumice stone worked .oracles! The oven ic very clean and........spotless!
    Thank you so much! Blessings to you and your loved ones!

    Here’s a tip for your oven racks: while your oven is “soaking” over night, wrap your oven racks in wet newspapers and cover them with plastic so they stay wet. In the morning, use spray-on degreaser (I use hippy brands like Seventh Generation) before you scrub them clean.

    Great tips! Wire racks are easy when you use a cordless drill with a wire wheel attached.😅

    To clean oven racks easily soak in tub hot water, dawn dish soap and 2 to 4 bounce sheets let soak 2 hours. Use bounce sheets to wash the racks. They come out like new

    on your other cooker videos you place ammonia in a dish, add the item then cover with saran wrap. would putting a bowl of ammonia uncovered into the oven then either close oven door or place saran wrap all over the opening

    Does this work on gas stoves as well well

    • @LaCroixCreative
      @LaCroixCreative 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As someone who used to have a gas stove, I can confirm, yes, you can. However, if it's a self-cleaning oven, I've seen advice that says not to use an oven cleaner, because the fumes are harmful to the self-cleaning elements. I have no idea if that is true or not.

    i was trying to find someone who had the same oven show how they clean the top part on the inside…. could you tell me how you get around the heating element? you can’t lift it up and it’s really the dirtiest part of my oven

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spray it and scrub with a wool pad #0000 grit. It’s hard to do which is why I don’t usually clean it. On the element, does it have screws so you can remove it? Or cover with foil and spray around the edges. Or a damp cloth on the element itself.

    • @Mary-mj7le
      @Mary-mj7le ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @mintyfresh084

    The easiest way to clean the oven racks is to put them in a lawn size garbage bag and put a couple cups of ammonia in the bag and let it sit for a day or two and then rinse off and all that mess comes right off 😮

    I moved to a house and the stove was there i had spent my money bùying the place doing remodeling on inside, frig, washer & dryer never looked in the stove. 😢 I have never seen anything like it, I use a sander to remove all the years of burnt drippings, it was awful. I had to use it for a year until I could buy a new one.

  • @BernadetteMier

    get a garbage bag place racks in bag and spray leave over night
    take racks out and just rinse, no scrubbing needed

  • @Songbird4ever
    @Songbird4ever หลายเดือนก่อน

    Using the self-clean option on your oven basically ruins the oven IMHO. It takes a long time and my over was never the same afterward. Easy off is the best product. Spray everywhere, walk away for at least an hour then have lots of old cloths and a rinse bucket. It is a great idea to vacuum loose particles first - it saves time in the long run.

    The secret to a clean oven is never neglect it for as long as they do. Obviously this oven hasn't been cleaned in a long long long time. There's no excuse for the condition of the oven being as filthy as they it is. Any excuse you come up with can be knocked out with a very logical explanation on how it could and should have been avoided.

      Be aware that a lot of repair folks will tell you it often damages the oven (or reduces its lifespan), uses huge amounts of power and is likely to set off all your smoke alarms 🫤

    How do you let your oven get that disgusting to begin with? If that was mine, I would’ve thrown it out and bought a new one.

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      It’s funny when people say that because if you don’t clean your oven it won’t be long before the new one will be a mess and you’ll have to buy another oven. The solution is keeping it clean and not waiting until it’s bad but cleaning as you use it. However, we all have different priorities in life.
