@TurbinePower69 .... I haven't run across any film yet that has sound, but I'm hopeful that somewhere there is going to be some. You are among many that long for the sound of the big diesels. So far I have only made it about 1/3 of the way through the 16mm film and there is quite a bit of 8mm film as well.
tournadude..... It's been a while, but thank you for your reply (I have a different "handle" now, as you can see... it's more befitting to my past and younger years.) Did you ever come across any footage with sounds of those fabulous 2 cycles?? I sure Miss those days!..... as I know, Many of us, Do.... and for many different reasons, besides just the sweet sound of V12 GM Diesels hard at work!! I miss what this country "Was" back then, compared to what it has Devolved into, these degenerate days!
Fascinating - thanks for posting! I have been an RG fan since my teens. Rg Letourneau Inc sent me some literature on L-90s, tree crushers, etc. Also a dozer RG named 'Fantabulous Pusher' which was developed to push crashed aircraft off the runway - no films of them I suppose?
These videos are great I all ways was showing people pictures of these machines as I worked at Longview Plant in the 60's Mechanic on assembly line Oliver Aeschliman
Arghhhh!!!..... I can't hear those incredible V12's!!..... Ohhhh, the shame of it all !! : (
Yeah, we're missing the sound of 40 Detroit diesels running flat out....
