I bought this lens because I had a $50 Amazon gift card. Like you said I was amazed by the build quality for the price. Ended up using it in a POV video and TTArtisan saw it. Now I have 3 of their lenses and am loving them. I’m happy that I used the gift card the way I did :).
Got myself one of these almost a year ago. I thought it would look great with my Zfc, and the price made it worth the gamble. I agree upon almost everything you say. The only weak spot that bothers me is a fair amount of chromatic abberation, but I have learnt not to use it photographing trees against a bright sky. Of course it can not compare to the pictures I get from Nikon Z lenses straight out from my Nikon Cameras, but the photos from this lens doesn't require more than mildly enhancing editing to look really nice on a 65 inch 4k screen. BUT, what makes this lens my favourite Zfc companion on any casual walk, is the pure joy of using it. Regardless of street - day or night - or landscape photography, this lens is soooo fun to use. And while I'm still on it... I really appreciate what you are doing on this channel. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Thank you!! That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's a joy using this little bad boy, even if it's worse that other lenses (which it clearly is). I'm having such a good time using it. You couldn't describe it any better my friend!! ❤️ I appreciate you for being here and investing your time with the community. Means a lot
I bought this lens about 3 months ago and it has become my go-to lens for street photography. My preference is to make photographs on overcast days, so the flare issue isn't a big problem for me--but I have noticed it on sunny days under certain conditions. I use zone focusing at f/8.0 and have been blown away by the image quality. The size is great, too--so unobtrusive. It cost me €56 here in Italy. Ridiculously inexpensive.
Just ordered my ZFC today, plan on getting this lens as well. I don’t mind the manual focus, I usually do manual focus on my Nikon d200 so it isn’t a big deal for me.
@@IliasKoureas that’s great! I’m not a super huge fan of autofocus that much, I tend to just do all the manual focus for me anyways. I don’t shot fast objects like cars or sports so I’m glad everyone gave this a good review. Plus I normally like the 35mm focal length for my everyday shoot.
Thx for the review and showing the results, this lens now definitely on my wishlist, I usually use a 50mm or tele/wide to tele, but i need to borrow my friend for the tele/wide to tele and using 50mm for street is awkward for me when im trying to take a pic with a human on it I'm introvert and using 50m i need to get close to them for framing (sometimes take to long and it's making things awkward) so i prefer shooting from far (that's why i use tele/wide to tele) but I'm trying to conquer my fear of shooting close to a strangers so i consider buying a 20mm-ish lens so i can get close to people but not to awkward when doing the framing with people on it because i can put other subjects other than the people Appreciate a lot for the review
Do it man , it's a cheap lens to practice on and see if you can conquer your fear and have fun at the same time with manual controls. I'm counting on you💪
i have this , but then i paired my zfc with the 7artisans 35mm 1.2, kept the articulating screen close , and did my photowalks manually the whole day, a senior gentleman stopped me n said "its nice to see young people appreciating real photography again" 😜
Been eyeing this little lens up for a good part of a month now, thinking if I should get it or not, it mainly came down to the aspect of wanting a Fujifilm X100V. Which uses a 24mm fixed lens and the photos I have seen using that camera regardless of the Fuji simulations, have been pretty cool. So I thought why not just look for a lens that is 24mm or close and use that on my own camera. This lens seems very devided with reviews, some will butcher it due to its high chromatic aberration. Others will say its great just for the price alone which is honestly a steal compared to some lenses. I feel it really just boils down to how creative you are with it and from what you have shown, it can be a pretty solid lens just for a day out. Cheap things like these always make me think about the talented photographers who can take literally a cheap ass kids toy camera and still make art with it lol
Same here! I literally have an obsession with small lenses just because of the x100 hype. And these smaller lenses are my way of experiencing something similar. And to be honest it's a joy carrying my camera with just a small lens around and carrying anything else. This particular 25mm is perfect for casual walks. People that bash it are simply not good enough for this craft. Legit the only downside is the flaring on these strong lights during the night and that's why I'll probably use something else during night. But for my casual photo walks or for daily documenting I'm finding myself grabbing it over my larger primes. Chromatic aberration is well controlled. For example my Nikon 85mm 1.8 G (for DSLR) has much more chromatic aberration. And at the end of the day , we are posting images with these lenses on Instagram and maybe print for ourselves.
Image quality is pretty much the same. The 25mm might be a little bit sharper and has less vignette tho. The 27mm is plastic made BUT has AF. The 25mm has perfect build quality but has no AF
@@IliasKoureas x-s20 for the better eye autofocus...the rest of the cameras are expensive, older model x-e4 or x-t30 ii, but if you wait a little bit, x-t40 is coming soon

Keep collecting them, it's so much fun using these!! That gift card was a gift from the heavens 🥂

remarkable slide show, especially some golden colour pictures, warmed my heart
Wow , so happy you felt that way. Thanks man!

Zone focusing+ f8 is definitely the way to go!! I bring this lens everywhere with me too!
The 3rd party DX lenses coming out nowadays are really good. More options nowadays for the Zfc.
For real. Golden era of third party manufacturing!

Is there any way for me to adapt this lens onto my Canon 7D?
No I don't think so sadly

For a month i use it for b/w streetphotography on my x-pro1...sharp images, great fun...it stays there.
My photography brother keeps it on his xpro1 as well haha
i can't wait for you tu buy a Fujifilm camera and make videos about it
Haha which one would you suggest?
